New York City is a major metropolis located in the northeastern United States, known as the ultimate gathering point for fashion, food trends, art, and business in the first world. Filled with gothic architecture alongside modern concepts, this bustling city is a juxtaposition of old and new, wealthy and impoverished. Like most large urban areas of its kind, the Big Apple has both its very nice areas, where the rich safely drink champagne from their ivory lofts, as well as very rundown neighborhoods yet to be touched by gentrification, where gangs and crime bosses rule the streets. No matter what path you choose, however, as the song goes, if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.
The Carousel – Owned and operated by the crime boss and dimensional vagrant, Harley Quinn , The Carousel has become the most popular nightclub in Manhattan and a base of operations for Quinn's gang of misfit clowns. Dimly lit with neon lighting along the walls and ceiling, the entire space is cavernously large and always pumping out a powerful beat for patrons to dance to in their drugged out and lustful stupors, with large, silky and fluffy couches and seating, designer drugs and alcohol set at the VIP tables, and more security than you could shake an oversized mallet at. Like a carnival of excess, this club is circus-themed hedonism to its very core.
Hell's Kitchen – A more rundown collection of streets and neighborhoods in Manhattan, most businesses in this part of the city close their storefronts for the night behind iron bars to prevent theft and vandalism, as several small-fry gangs and crime bosses have set up their operations in this area. However, a new crime boss, the vagrant Red Hood , has recently taken over the Kitchen as his own territory, easily squashing most of the syndicates already present and gathering them as an extension of his own.
Sanctum Sanctorum – Located at 177B Bleeker Street in Greenwich Village, yet hidden away from all except those that are actively seeking it out, the Sanctum Sanctorum is the dimensionally-fluid home of @strange , vagrant on New Earth, but Sorcerer Supreme from his own world. A powerful source of magic in its own right, the Sanctum is something of an enigma, filled with wonders and horrors alike, but is perhaps the safest place one could find themselves when the doctor is home.
Empire State Building – At one point the tallest building in New York, the Empire State Building has become something of a hotspot for tourists. Deadpool , one of the first documented Neo-Human vagrants to arrive in this dimension, was spotted falling from the height of this famous landmark and splattering onto 5th Avenue, yet still walked away mostly intact.
