Timeline: Current Previous Threads: N/A Characters Involved: OPEN Location: Chicago Streets Don't you dare look out your window darling everything's on fire The war outside our door keeps raging on “ This world was weird, it was a world where she was alone and that all in itself was frightening. She had gotten here about a month ago and had kept to herself since walking into a packed dinner in Chicago while looking for Batman in Gotham City with Robin. So that happened and well it didn't end well. She ended up getting food thrown at her, curse words, and all sorts of bad behaviors and she ended up leaving. Over the next week, she had to do what any fifteen-year-old in her position had to do, she had to lie steal and cheat to get what she needed. A task she learned from her father and was indeed not proud of it. She stole a set of clothes so she could blend in, after all walking around in the Spoiler costume during the day was a bad idea. After this, she was very unsure of what to do until she met someone who was in the business of helping those from other worlds that were kids. This person was quite nice and helped Stephanie set up a social security number, a birth certificate. According to her birth certificate. They assisted Stephanie in getting a job and a place to stay, along with helping her get enrolled in an online high school. Stephanie was very grateful for this person and thanked them every chance she got. The rest of the month went by as normal as a month could go by. She did hear about sitings of Batman here, and she wondered if she should follow it up. After all, she was ALMOST his student until he up and poofed. She heard about Nightwing a few times but she was too far from his area to speak to him, same went for Red Hood. Sure she had never met either of them but she knew who they were. They were Robin one and Robin two. She knew her Robin wasn't here, because she was with him when she disappeared. After she had finished her shift at one of the local diners she found herself sitting on one of the rooftops of Chicago wearing her Spoiler costume. She missed them, she missed her mother, she missed Robin, she missed Gotham she wanted to go home to her own bed. She was so tired of being alone in this stupid world. So it looked like she was going to find Batman or he was going to find her and only one way to do that was to become active as Spoiler. The girl than leaped from the building and fell towards the ground, letting the wind move through the hood of her costume before deploying her grappling hook and swinging to the next building. ”

Absolute Zero continued to be the talk of the town and Captain Cold could not be more of mixed feelings about that. Spending the last year chasing every crook and gang out of this little niche of Chicago had been loads of fun, using the money looted from them to buy this place had been fun, and having a former roach trap remodeled into the vision it now was, well that was a new experience as well. However, like all good things, happiness came and went, and Snart could not help but feel a little melancholy without the Flash or any other meaningful vigilantes around to challenge his authority or drop in to try and assert theirs with him. Being King was only fun for a while, afterwards you needed a little excitement again... ...Or maybe just some air. Getting up from the bar and finishing his drink, this one the Golden Delight, named in honor of his baby sister, whom he hoped was still alive and well back home and made a mental note to offer the chance to change the drink's name if she ever turned up, Snart quietly walked past the crowds of patrons dining or dancing and giving approving nods to those who acknowledged him as he headed up the stairs to the second floor, then past his security to the next stairway where he soon found himself emerging to the rooftop of his establishment. It was slightly chilly, but Snart didn't pay it much mind, partially because of the navy-blue, fur-trimmed parka he always wore along with the high-tech gun holstered at his right hip that signified his familiar title, and that he'd grown up accustomed to the cold. It was quiet out, peaceful, even. A contrast to the show back inside the thief and leader of the Rogues could hear his thoughts again. Indeed, a little excitement wouldn't hurt some time... As if to answer that he heard a noise, Snart whipped his Cold Gun out and advanced on the source of the sound and he was greeted with a sight he admittedly hadn't expected. Costumed vigilante, by his guess one of Batman's or at least a devoted fan judging from the utilities, had landed right on his rooftop. It was dark out she probably hadn't seen him. Interesting. Maybe this night wasn't going to be so dull after all. "Lost, young lady?" he asked, announcing his presence as he held his Cold Gun out in case she tried anything. Now that he got a better look at her he could see from her height and build she appeared quite young, possible sidekick age though the hood and mask made it hard to tell for sure. If that was the case he might even go easy on her, provided she didn't cause him trouble Snart wasn't the type to harm children. He wasn't his father. "Do mommy and daddy know you're out here doing this?"TAG Spoiler

Starting about a month ago, the ninja started hearing reports of small thefts. Most of which were negligible and didn't warrant much investigation. However, the petty robberies were at a more stable rate. It wasn't the amount of attacks that caught his attention, rather what was taken. Simple items and needs of survival. Were this a string of robberies by a homeless person, chances are, the occasional valuable item would go missing. Phantom was noticing the pattern and, if what he's learned were true, it could be a possible vagrant or lost neo. While it wasn't his place to interfere, the teen did occasionally offer aid when needed. On top the thefts, another major project that was caught on his radar was the latest club. Around the time it appeared, gang related activities and attacks seemed to fall incredibly. Many might've chalked it up to the police force or even gangs settling their dispute. Blake, however, knew better. Following multiple leads, gathering intel from several sources and even the occasional interrogation gave the boy the answer he was looking for. A band of criminals, or at the very least, rogue-heroes, was ruling the underground. With two possible threats, the black-haired crime-fighter was left with little choice than to pursue both. Lacking of additional resources stretched Blake thin, especially since he no longer had the free range help of the Black Mists and he didn't want to drag his small "team" into it without just cause. Having finally pieced part of the puzzle together, thanks to some assistance from his mentor, Phantom was looking for a figure in a purple outfit. That was surprisingly little to go off of. Whoever the robber was, they were good at covering tracks. Out of options and what little intel he had having run dry, Blake switched to his second objective: finding the purpose of the club. While it did lower the crime rate, it was still a place of skeptical ideal, especially because of the effect it had on the night life. Having perched a top a building across the street of the questionable building, the ninja kept a close eye on all those that entered and left. As a shadow against the midnight sky, the teen was all but invisible, save his lightning blue eyes. His patience finally paid off. A man in a blue parka left the club. If his intel was correct, this was one of the owners of the business. Tailing him from the safety of the rooftops, Phantom refused let the man out of his sight for even a second. Before too long, his target approached another figure. Squinting out of the unlikely coincidence, it was the purple suit. Instead of making things easier for him, this encounter only raised more questions for the stalker. Did the two know each other? Where they connected somehow? Watching as the blue-coated man drew his weapon, albeit not in a hostile manner, Blake didn't take any second chances. Jumping from the roof, the vigilante landed on the ground, between the two. The impact was virtually silent and Phantom used the momentum of the fall to draw his blade, having it in a defensive stance upon standing up, facing the frosty figure. He spoke not a word, merely just glared at the man. It didn't matter whether the eggplant colored character was a threat or not, in this moment, from what little information Blake had to go off of, his current target was a higher priority. Don't you dare look out your window darling everything's on fire The war outside our door keeps raging on “ Spoiler looked at the voice as it spoke and she cocked her head as she put the voice and the face to a name "Captian Cold? You're here? Well, that explains where you poofed off too. Flash was very worried about you." She laughed at the end, it was mostly a joke. "Actually my daddy doesn't give a rats ass about his daughter and mom isn't here in this world so no big deal. Even back on my earth mom didn't know. So I'm going to keep it that way." When the figure jumped in between them it was the perfect time for Spoiler to take a fighting stance and pull out some of her spoilerrangs. "Cold is he one of yours?" She asked as she kept her stance. "Cuz it looks like he wants to kick your butt." She yelled out from the other side of the figure. "I on the other hand really just was surprised to see you here." The talkative wonder kept speaking even though it was clear that this was some sort of issue arising. Stephanie never was the one to keep quiet when she had something she wanted to say. The eggplant wonder kept her spoilerrangs ready to throw in case she needed too. "Both of you Stand down and let's talk this out. I'm sure I have some Spoiler snacks in my pouch we can snack on. But we really need to cool down or I will be forced to put you both down. And by down I mean to kick your butts." Stephanie was indeed cocky but she figured she could probably at least try to make it look like she knew what she was doing. She really picked a hell of a night to go out in costume. ”

"Worried about me, huh? Well, tell him I'm touched if you see him before I do," Snart replied. She knew who he was but he hadn't heard of her, though an educated guess was Gothamite. Metropolis had Superman so what more did you need there, and any vigilante big or small that cropped up in Central City he'd have known about in no time. He tilted his head a little about the girl's remark about her dad. As someone whose father had been more then a disappointment and witnessing his sister suffer for it since childhood it never pleased him to hear young people having to deal with such a situation. "Sorry to hear that. Now, what brings you to my rooftop?"Next thing Snart knew, another kid in a costume dropped right in between them, causing the thief to chuckle a little. "Wow, did I pick the right night to go out for some air! Any more of you I should know about?" he joked, turning his gun towards him though in a defensive manner. Snart didn't take lives unless he had to, none of the Rogues did unless they wanted to answer to him for it. The girl didn't seem to know him either, and asked if Snart knew him. Well, that ruled out the notion he was with her. "Nope, don't know him," he replied. The girl seemed more reasonable, the boy, though, Snart was wary of. Sure, he could have called security up right now but he didn't want negative press about this place starting up, at least not this quickly. "And what's your deal, kid?" he asked the costumed boy. "In case you haven't read the news crime's gone down in this part of town. You're welcome, by the way..."

With the exchange of words between the two potential targets, Blake gave a sigh. It appeared they weren't connected. That at least cleared up part of his curiosity. But that revealed a few more questions. One thing he was certain of, thanks to the assistance of Batman of informing him of potential hostiles and villains, he was aware that Captain Cold, as the woman referred to him as, was a vagrant. If she knew him then, by piecing the limited information together, she was also a vagrant. Lowering his blade for the moment, he sheathed it before glaring at the man. "I am aware of the lack of crime. That is what raises my suspicion of you. When the birds go quiet, a larger threat is near."
Turning to face the woman, his lightning blue eyes gaze at her costume then spot the rang. While not as symbolic as his mentor's, it did have its similarities. Things were gradually becoming a bit more clear. Putting his fist into an open palm, the ninja offered a slight bow to the woman. "I am certain my sensei will want to hear of your arrival. Though, he did not mention a disciple wearing a purple uniform."
Turning back towards the man, the teen offered a slight bow to him. "While I am grateful for the lack of crime, that does not excuse the skepticism of a more sinister plot." Taking a step to the side, Phantom moved so as to be able to see both of them at the same. "Uncertain of your actions, I saw you draw your weapon and did not want to risk the potential injury of another."

Don't you dare look out your window darling everything's on fire The war outside our door keeps raging on “ This guy was with Batman? He replaced Tim? that seemed to be really dramatic, then again Batman was dramatic. "Yeah, he isn't a fan of mine. Doesn't like me or something along those lines. Only fair the dick forgot about me." She admitted with a shrug. Sure it hurt that the mentor she hoped for didn't want her around but what could she do? She was grateful that Tim at least helped her out when she needed it and allowed her to help him find Batman. Good news was she was closer to finding Batman than Robin was. "So are you like the new Robin, because if so this is not the right colors or costume for the job? also your tush is lacking a bit but that could be because of the outfit itself. Then again I am just a huge fan of the last robin. So I could be biased." She kept her fighting stance as while he might have been Batman's new Robin, she was still not on good terms with the bat himself. Or at least that's what she believed. "This is Captain Cold, hes one of the good bad guys. Like don't trust him as far as you can throw him but hes not as bad as some of the others. Like take Joker for example, hes the complete opposite but still bad guy. I'm sure he's just trying to wrangle the place up like he did with Central City. You know making it more Rogue territory than every bad guy for himself. Like a ring leader? or he could just be doing his best to make the best out of a bad situation and its rude of you to judge him." She snickered at the last part. "Cold, i really just picked this building because it looked like a nice place to stop and take a snack break. but I was very wrong. i should have landed elsewhere. Then again if i didn't land here I wouldn't have met the boy wonder of this world and now he will show me where Batman is so I can hopefully see whats going on here. Yet i feel like it wont happen. He's kinda like my dad, disappointing." She huffed. ”

Snart looked back and forth between the two youngsters as they chatted a bit. The part about the kid being suspicious of him didn't really phase the thief, as it was what he was used to. No, what concerned him was hearing that Batman was apparently in Chicago, now. Well, that was news to him. "The Bat? Thought he was in New York? What changed?" he asked, now concerned. How had this news not reached him? Did he come recently? While Snart was confident that nothing could be pinned on him, the last thing he wanted was for Batman to come smashing through his club's very expensive sunroof in some dramatic entrance and then try and harass him in his perfectly (semi-)legit business. While a more insecure man might have taken offense to the girl's description of him, Snart let it slide. He knew he was better then lunatics like the Joker. "What she said. Go with that," he remarked. "No sinister plots, kid. The Rogues don't operate like that. We like to keep things simple." The Rogues may have been on top around these parts, now, but he wasn't out to rule all of Chicago, just its underworld if he could help it. Crime didn't listen to a sheriff, it listened to a king. He couldn't help but scoff a little at the girl's comparison between Batman and her dad. He didn't know the girl's father so he couldn't make a call on that, and his encounters with Batman were almost non-existent. "Then I guess we're both disappointed, I'm surprised he hasn't called or written, yet."
The thief finally held his gun upward. "Soooo... anything else, or should I invite you downstairs like a good host?" he half-joked. TAG Phantom Spoiler

While he had heard the occasional mention of a "robin" from the Dark Knight, it wasn't much. At the comment of his "tush" Blake was really glad that his face mask covered all but his eyes. Underneath, his cheeks were burning a bright red from embarrassment and he looked away from the two, glancing towards an alleyway. How should he respond to that? Was it a compliment, an insult, or merely just an observation. Regardless, he wasn't comfortable about someone commenting about his body, especially a stranger. However, it was the comment of the cold-themed criminal that caught his attention. Regardless of whether the man was a threat or not, Phantom had no interest in disclosing even the approximate location of his superior, especially since the man in front of him was part of a syndicate. " I will not state whether he is here or away. His movements are not something I keep a close eye on." Whether that was a lie or not would be only between Blake and Batman. Keeping a closer eye on the man in blue, the ninja studied him for a moment. As much as he hated working with the bad guys, there was an opportunity here that the teen saw. An opportunity that would not only help reduce crime, but could even point him in the direction of more vital intel to help with later or current missions. His clan has been known to take the road less traveled or even work on the wrong side at times, so long as it ended with the desired results, their stipulations were lenient. Bowing his head slightly to the man, Blake spoke in a calm and quiet manner, " Yes. Perhaps we should go inside, it will help prevent unwanted ears from listening." Following the two inside, he ensured to stay behind the girl, hoping to prevent anymore attempts to look at his "tush". Spoiler Captain Cold

Don't you dare look out your window darling everything's on fire The war outside our door keeps raging on “ Stephanie knew it was a bad idea to take snacks from a stranger but it was a rough time and well she could really go for something nice. Besides getting to know this new boy wonder was something she was indeed interested in. He did seem like a mini carbon copy of Batman which was weird. Yet as he spoke she knew right away that if this kid didn't know about Batman he was either lying or Batman didn't keep him close. Yet Stephanie knew that with a boy wonder, a Dark Knight was not too far behind. Yet she figured just as much would come from him. Why would someone tell Spoiler where Batman was. He never really wanted her around in the first place so, the whole thing just made her frown and huff a bit under the mask. Spoiler followed behind Snart with a skip to her step. "Speaking of Disappointments, Snart, have you heard if Cluemaster is here?" The girl questioned with a curious tone. If he was here than that meant she could keep up her game of cat and mouse but if he wasn't that meant she really was here alone. "So Boy Wonder of this world. I'm Spoiler, whats your name. If I'm going to be bugging you and Bats I need to know these things." She then questioned looking back at the boy. ”
