The streets were bustling with pedestrians and vehicles. Everybody had a place to be and they were all in a hurry. While some teenagers and young adults stared at their phones, some of the elderly folks conversed with a few friends as they sat on a bench. Parents were guiding their children and couples were holding hands. The sounds of footsteps and chatter filled the air, blending in with the horns and running engines to make everything into more of an irritating noise than anything else. At least, this is how the bald man saw it. Pests and irritations, every last one of them. He's had enough of the crowds and those that won't bow their heads to him. As in a casual motion, the bald man set his suitcase down as if to verify all its contents were there. Almost instantly, a bluish-green mist spilled out, caused many to gag and cough, creating a small space between them and the criminal. Pulling out his latest suit, Hazmat let out a laugh as screams filled the air and panic caused a stampede of civilians and potential victims. "So nice of you to remember who I am. Too bad it's the end of the line for you!" Holding his arm out, the criminal let loose the same vapor. Those that caught in it were gagging before dropping to their knees as they held their chests and throats. Struggling for their next breath, many started flopping like dead fish as consciousness left their bodies. Those that managed to escape had blistered lining their mouths and eyes were swollen shut. What was a typical rush-hour only a few minutes prior has erupted into mass panic as everybody tried getting away from the neo, regardless of who or what was in their way. Those that were unfortunate enough to be slower than others became rugs as they were trampled on. Children were crying when separated from their families. Cars piled into wrecks as attempts to flee were halted. "How does it feel to be hunted? To be killed and tormented?" Hazmat cackled in amusement, his suit's respirator altered his voice slightly. One man, trying to be the hero drew a pistol and took aim. Before he could pull the trigger, however, he let out a cry of agony. The weapon and his arms melted into a puddle of goo as the criminal sprayed a highly corrosive acid. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Listening to music through her headphones, the blue-haired idol made her way down the street, a bit of pep in her step. Half walking, half dancing, she made her way back towards a white motorcycle. A pair of men were walking towards her. Deep in their conversation about business, they almost didn't see the teen until she juked to the side with a foot dash and 360 twirl, her twin tails following behind like delicate ribbons in the air. Unlocking the storage bin resting on the back of the bike, Kris dropped a few bags of items from her latest shopping trip. A few aroma therapy candles and scented lotions from Bath and Body Works as well as a few games from Gamestop. While she is only visiting, GG goes to the shops so much that the managers would know her even she wasn't famous.
Putting her helmet on, a holographic HUD booted up and ran through its startup sequence. Adjusting her guitar, before climbing on the two-wheel vehicle, Kris pressed the electronic ignition. A few cranks and the engine purred to life. Before she could pull onto the street, however, a call came through on the police scanner she had built into the vehicle's radio. With the Bluetooth connected, it played directly into her helmet. "Attention all units, we have a 10-66 November in progress in Times Square. Requesting all emergency personnel respond immediately. Number of casualties unknown."
Flipping a few switches on the fuel tank, red and blue lights flashed as sirens wailed. To most, she appeared to have been a police officer undercover, but in reality, she was imposing as such. Flying down the road as fast as she could without wrecking, most moved out of her way the best they could. Up ahead, she could hear the call of other cruisers and ambulances. Taking a quick glance to the side, the popstar even saw an FBI truck enroute.
Pressing a button on her handle bars, an image popped up in the corner of her HUD. "Call Bobby....... Hey, it's Kris, I'm going to be a bit late, don't start the movie marathon without me..... Yes I heard the call....... Already almost there...... I'll try to be careful but, no promises." Before the man was able to come up with a rebuttal, the teen ended the call before turning the throttle a bit more.

Ich Will dass ihr mich gut seht Ich will, dass ihr mich versteht “ Jackie was all curled up on the couch with her big plush comfoter with a bowl of popcorn tucked away in her little warm fort. Thanks to Kris she was able to get a set of special braclets that were really cute and had snowflakes on them, but their real intention was to give jackie control over powers down to the point where she could feel heat like a regular person, it really did help as it also gave her more control over her attacks and abilities as now she was able to have a focus point. Her attention turned to Bobby when the phone rang. It sounded like there was going to be trouble and she put the bowl of popcorn on the table. "Does she need help?" The girl asked poking her white haired head out of the warm blanket. The man looked at her, he wasn't sure if Jackie was really ready to go back out into the world with the lime light on her. Yet before he could say anything Jackie was already running to the training room where her upgraded costume waited for her. She was dressed in a white one piece that was created to keep in the below zero teprature that her body naturally created above that was a blue jacket that would help keep her safe from heat attacks. While it wasn't full prof and could burn off with too much heat it still would help keep her safe. She was ready to go. "Jackie are you sure about this?" The man asked and she nodded. "You guys have been training me for this. I... I'm ready to help out." She smiled brightly and soon she took to the skies. Flying did come a bit harder for her to control as it was more control on cold air and propelling herself around with it. So her flying was not exactly 100% perfect yet. She then pressed on the comunication device on her ear ring and it turned into a ear piece. "G, can you here me? Is this thing working?" She sounded like someone who never worked technology in their life. "I'm coming to be your back up. Should be there soon, I hope." She bit her lip, she was nervous, this was the first time she had gone out in a long time, and as a full capable hero. ”

Corvin had arrived from Sun City for a few short hours ago. His primary purpose had been to nose around New York for any mystical threats that might need dealing with, and perhaps pick up a few things that weren't easy to find in his home just yet. A food stand on the side of the street had distracted him, however, and after paying for it he'd grabbed a New York style hot dog for a quick lunch. Giving the owner of the stand a somewhat shy thanks, Corvin sat down on a nearby bench and munched while he glanced around. 'Heh....Seems peaceful enou-'
The sound of screaming and car crashes a few blocks over interrupted that thought, and he bolted upright, eyes wide behind his shades. 'Never mind!' Turning his attention back to the food cart owner, he spoke up. "You should leave. Now." Gulping, they nodded. "Y-yeah, you're prob-...Wait, where you going, kid?!" Corvin had started running towards a nearby alleyway, and distractedly waved goodbye. "Nowhere special! Thanks again for the hot dog!"
Scarfing down the rest of said treat as he approached the entrance, the young hero crumpled the paper bowl it'd come in into a small ball and tossed it into a nearby garbage can. The small, soft thud echoed the sound of his footsteps as he rocketed into the alley. Darting around various obstacles, Corvin rummaged around in his hoodie before pulling out his mask. As the slick black, menacingly skeletal mask was pulled over his face, his eyes gave a quick flare of bright red light. 'It sounds like there's a lot of chaos going on...Gods, don't let me too late to help!!'

Peter Parker walked away from the hotdog stand, hastily scarfing down his lunch and glancing at his watch. His break was almost over and he was expected back at work, but for the first time since starting his life on New Earth, Peter wasn’t looking forward to it. The project he’d been working on had suddenly been taken away from him and his entire team. Apparently at the whim of the government, his boss decided that the project would be finished by a team of specialists. Considering it was a nanomachine based technology meant to identify abnormal cells that cause cancer, the sudden government takeover worried Peter. With that technology they could be doing any number of things he didn’t want to think about, especially since he aided in its creation. Now, instead of looking forward to getting into the lab where he was able to help people, he was being shifted over to some kind of new receiver dish. Big difference between helping cure cancer and helping people get a clearer television signal, he lamented. Before the sounds of sirens and screams even reached him he felt a slight tingle at the base of his skull, a low-end warning from his Spider Sense. Then came the rush of people dashing away from Times Square. Looks like I’m gonna be a little late after all, he thought, happy to have a legitimate reason for being tardy. A few moments laterThe Amazing Spider-Man swung past the first responders, getting an eyeful of what was causing the chaos. An orange-clad man with all manner of nasty vapors seeping from his suit. Eyeballing one of the ports, he fired off a ball of webbing hoping to plug it. “Yo, Gasbag! Hey excuse me, is this a private shindig or can anyone join in? I mean I’m still kinda getting my bearings here in this dimension, but I’m curious about proper edicate when it comes to knocking heads in. I mean here The Hobgoblin gets air time and magazine covers so up is down, down is up, and for all I know you are part of some sort of anti-flatulence PSA. So if I start bashing your face in too hard, just feel free to pass out and save me the embarrassment.”

Looking at his arm from the port suddenly being plugged by some form of sticky substance, Hazmat looked the the direction it came from, glaring at the man in the red suit. The clamoring was getting on his nerves and, to show it, he caused a powerful acid to flow from the port, instantly dissolving the web before firing a glob of it at Spiderman. " Well, well, Christmas must've come early. Looks like I get to have a little fun. Let's see how many people you can save, brat." Launching the acid at a wall, the corrosive goo instantly ate through the brick and steel, causing the weight to suddenly shift before collapsing over a small group of people, threatening to crush them. Turning towards another fleeing group, something caught his eye. Another child stood to face him. This one was wearing a mask and a hoodie. It was almost comical to the mastermind that someone would approach him without any real form of protection. " Oh look, you even brought your little sidekick.... maybe I should just kill him." Taking a step towards the shadowmancer, a loud crack was heard as a civilian whacked the man in orange with a wooden bat. Although it did make him stumble, the suit absorbed most of the impact. Grabbing the man by the throat, he struggled to get free before letting out a gurgled scream. His skin started to blister and melt as the acid quickly ate through his flesh, killing the unfortunate man. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kris sped through the streets as a familiar voice came through the headset. Jackie was going to join the fight? As nervous as Kris was about her first team up mission being something of this magnitude, she was also grateful that the ice neo was coming along. Without knowing the exact threat, any help would be appreciated. " Sounds good, Frost Flower, I'll ping you the location. See you soon!" Revving the throttle a little more, the engine of the bike screamed from the increase of power. Using a ramped trailer as a launching platform, the vibromancer propelled herself over the barrier set up by the police. Upon hitting the ground, the tires squealed to a stop as the brake was squeezed. Without turning off the engine, the idol kicked down the stand and jumped off, throwing her helmet to land perfectly on the handlebar. Running to the epicenter, her eyes went wide. Several dead bodies littered the floor from the villain's initial entry as well as a fresh corpse at his feet. The sight made the blue-haired girl dry heave a bit. She was expecting something major, but not this. One thing did help put a smile on her face, however. At least she and Jackie weren't the only ones that responded. A man in a red, spider-themed suit was there. Someone she met a long time ago and has wanted to meet again ever since. As well as a young boy that, despite the situation, appeared to be willing to help. Giving out a whistle, Kris jumped and waved her arms, " Hey! Traffic cone! Over here!" When the sirens had gone off right in the middle of lunch hour, the base had been caught almost unaware. The majority of the new recruits weren't ready for it, and those more experienced still needed time to prepare. Some sergeant or other screamed at a frantic group of young men and elsewhere technicians and those members of high command scrambled to their stations. Helicopters raced to the air pads and waited for their cargo, heavily armed and combat ready personnel and their weapons, but it would take some time.
On one hand, the disorganization the base showed was horrifying to him, but on the other, Steve Rogers was thankful they would be delayed.
He and his loyal squad had already boarded their transport copter and were well on their way within minutes of the alert. All they had needed was a destination to depart, any more useful information would be sent to them en route. The cargo hold held all essentials for any situation: medical supplies for the wounded, armor piercing rounds and the weapons required to use them, gas masks, you name it. The Captain very thoroughly stocked and prepared them so they could leave quickly and prepare on the go. The heavy thrum of the helicopter blades sounded muffled and distorted in the soundproof chamber when the pilot announced over the radio, "Briefing from Command, patching it back!"
The holo table in the center came to life, courtesy of one Tony Stark, with a 3D image of Times Square and a live capture of everything that happened within. Steve scanned the battlefield intently. He recognized HAZMAT and the threat he posed, and nodded to the gas masks for his men. They may not help against the acid, but if there were any residual gas or if he attempted to attack them with it, it would delay the inevitable long enough for them to flee. As it was, with all those present, he had half a mind to keep his squad on crowd control. Next, there was none other than the Webhead himself. With their respective positions Steve hadn't had the chance to contact the Wallcrawler, but maybe this would be a good chance supposing there was time. He wanted to talk to Peter -- assuming this one was Mr. Parker.
There was also the girl; he recognized her as Gensokyo Girl, she'd been out of touch for a while, but she was involved in a handful of incidents that made his higher-ups very unhappy. Her presence alone about settled how the Captain would deal with his men. Lastly was a boy who he didn't know. Well, time for introductions.
He turned and faced his squad. "Damage control, soon as we land form a line and prep a landing zone for our reinforcements. Get as many wounded out as you can, but do not get close to him or open fire unless I say. Pilot! Get me down there!"
"Rog'!"
The helicopter swooped in fast and low, hovered to a stop just long enough for Captain America to leap out before it flew away again. With his strength he leaped over HAZMAT, so that the gasman would be stuck between them, surrounded on all sides. He landed with a roll; he did not attack immediately. "This is only going to get worse for you. You're in a city with any number of people who can take you. This is your only warning; stand down, before we make you."

The fly was a bit rough around the edges but she was able to make it into the area with ease. She landed on top of one of the buildings where she had Kris in her site. From here she noticed Spiderman, a figure she had met a while back but had not seen him since her first trip to New York. Jackie moved closer to the edge and downed her way to the ground to get a better look and she then saw what the man was talking about, he was looking at another who was dressed in a hoody with a mask. Perhaps these guys had it under control and she could head back home. She was still fearful of her powers and just how raw they could be without her being in complete control. She then watched as the man dropped to the ground, his body all blistered, pussed, and bloody. She wanted to puke and run away crying but she was so unsure of what to do. Yet her attention was turned towards the building that was becoming corrosive and was beginning to collapse. Without even thinking the girl busted out of the ally way, throwing her hands behind her she created a gust of ice cold wind to blow her across the street to the building. From there the girl thrust her hands in front of her and ice began to fling itself at the building. At first, the acid began to eat the ice but there was too much ice for the acid to keep eating and she eventually was able to get the building to stop collapsing and she began to build it back up with Ice so it wouldn't fall. Granted they would need a cleanup crew stat once everything was done or the building would collapse once she was knocked out, or her mind became unfocused. Jackie was too busy to notice that a new player had joined the field as her mind was set purely on the building in front of her. Corvin Sullivan

Skotos came charging out of the alley, but skidded to a stop upon seeing the scene that waited to greet him. Upon seeing the bodies, both unconscious, and worse, the young hero gave a gasp, eyes wide behind his mask. "Oh gods..." He may have been working towards becoming a more effective hero, but even with what he'd experienced he still hadn't encountered so much wanton suffering caused so easily before...Skotos's gaze went to the hazmat suited man who must be responsible for it, and he tensed up, his fingers curling slightly. Hopefully he'd be able to fight him off. Thankfully, there were others there to stop the despicable villain responsible for the evil deed as well. The first one that Skotos spotted was Gensokyo Girl. Even he, having been hidden away in back alleyways and Sun City, had heard of her. it was a good thing she was here, and so was it for the other hero that appeared. Though he didn't recognize the man clad in the spider motif, his snark towards Hazmat made it clear that he was on the right side. Hazmat's vicious response to said snark, one directed towards a small group of innocents not yet out of the battlefield, caused Skotos to shout in concern and take a few step towards the ruined building. However, as the villain turned his attention towards the young hero, threatening him, he tensed up. As his eyes glowed, two short Vantablack rods seemed to flow into his hands, and he raised them warningly as he took a step towards a nearby, shadow covered doorway. "Don't count on it, monster." His grip on the sticks adjusted as Hazmat took a step towards him, but a brave civilian interrupted what would have likely been the beginning of the battle. As he paid a horrid price, the boy's gorge rose, and his shoulders heaved in a effort to keep his bile down. 'No! Oh, gods,please...i gotta...Focus, I gotta focus. Co-concentrate on stopping him, have nightmares later. C'mon, Corv-..Skotos! You can do this! Stop him before anymore people get hurt.' As Gensokyo Girl distracted the vile toxin slinger with a quick taunt, Skotos worked on setting aside his sadness and terror over seeing such a awful thing. Thankfully, further relief was found when two more heroes arrived on the scene. The first was a girl in pale icy colors, who swiftly supported the look by icing over the collapsing building, slowing the damage and making sure the people trapped there were safe for a little longer. He relaxed a pinch, and gave her a thankful nod, though she seemed too focused on the task at hand to notice it, before turning his wary gaze back towards Hazmat. He was debating on whether or not to sling a stick at the man's stupid faceplate, but shortly after the ice heroine arrived so did a another person he recognized. 'Captain America?!' The boy was slightly thrown off, considering the shield bearer's association with the government, but from what little he'd heard about refugees coming into Sun City the man was reasonable enough and had the best intentions. Either way, he was another foe to Hazmat, and so seeing him and the backup he brought was a relief. As Captain America demanded that Hazmat surrender, Skotos paid close attention. Would it really be that easy? The young hero carefully fell into a slight crouch, holding his sticks ready for what was likely to be a crude response.
