Timeline: Current Previous Threads: N/A Characters Involved: Frost Flower Gemstone Location: Highschool Pulling up to the school parking lot, the silent hum of the motorcycle's engine announce the "transfer student's" arrival. Pulling off his helmet and giving a small sigh, Blake knew what his mission was, doesn't mean he was particularly fond of it. The announcement of his arrival was done by the books, thanks to the help of his organization. As far as the school and student body knew, he was an ordinary run of the mill kid. However, climbing off his motorcycle and grabbing his books, the teen could see a few eyes facing him. Glancing back, a small group of girls was staring at him as if trying to figure who this man was. Stuffing his helmet into his backpack, Blake turned to leave. As much as he preferred to do his job in his ninja suit, that would stick out like a sore thumb in this situation. Rather this time, he was wearing his civilian attire. A white T-shirt, black slacks, black tennis shoes, and his pendant around his neck. Shortly after the morning bell rang, he sighed and pushed open the door to his classroom. His face gave away no emotion. In fact, the only thing he portrayed was the look of a completely disinterested kid that would rather be outside doing something other than school. "Good morning, class, we have a new student today. Please welcome Blake Cross." Giving a half wave to the populace, he went straight for his seat in the back. " Why did they have to choose me for this? There are others that are better suited for this task." he thought to himself. Giving an annoyed sigh, the ninja in disguise reluctantly pulled out a pen and paper, ready to take notes from the class. In truth, he wasn't totally against the idea of being in a public school. It was a taste of something he wanted but never got to try. In fact, the main thing he was forward to was gym. The only thing he wasn't happy about was being a spy in public. " A deer that does not touch water never learns to swim," he mumbled to himself as he accepted his current situation. Frost FlowerGemstone

Things had been different for jackie since her trip to San Francisco. She learned that she really missed Kayley and hanging out with her. So she decided to brave the dear she had and returned to her new home city. While she was no longer welcome with her foster parents that really didn't stop jackie from trying to be normal. She had gathered a nice red wig that fit nicely over her blonde hair and she used make up and a base ball cap to hide her facial recognition. So it was like she was a whole new person. Thanks to it being a public school, no one really noticed. She also got a new schedual set.
Thankfully it looked like her first class was going to be with Kayley and that made her happy. Jackie knew that her friend enjoyed sitting in the back of the classroom so when she went in she took one of the back seats and waited for her friend to come in. Jackie was nervous thay perhaps kayley wouldn't like her clever disguise.
She watched as the new kid walked in and she quickly looked away when he spoke. She wasn't the one to like to draw attention so when he sat down next to her she got nervous. "Don't feel, conceal don't let it show." She whispered quitely to herself. She took in some deep breaths to make sure that she wasn't letting the ice control her. It was indeed becoming a but easier to control. She looked over at him the away then to the door then back to him then down at the comic on her desk, then back to the door and back to him. She repeated this action for several minutes.

Kayley had been, to put it plainly, not in the best of moods for a while. It didn't take a genius to figure out what had happened in the news at that performance where the place got frozen over. Jackie was nowhere to be found and she felt worried and angry. Worried because she had no way of knowing if her best friend was even alive anymore, and angry for being unable to do anything. If she'd just been there, she might have been able to help her, she might have been able to keep her friend from ending up hunted or dead. It had affected her vigilante activities as well. That extra three blows to Sub-Human's solar-plexus with his own bread-bat. Sending the Tumbler flying into a wall with a plasma bomb when his violent PC policing annoyed her ten times more then it normally did. Going all-out on Shockwave before he got the first blast in. And of course more then a few thugs winding up needing some hospital attention. Her behavior had not gone unnoticed by her sister, who practically grounded her till she calmed the hell down as Neos did not need that kind of PR if she truly lost control on someone. Kayley resisted. Aggressively. Then she remembered the hard way that Lucy taught her everything she knew, but not everything Lucy herself knew and a sleeper hold put an abrupt end to that and when Kayley woke in her room after, Lucy had put her foot down on no patrolling till she decided otherwise. And made her clean up the mess that Kayley had made downstairs in the dispute. This had left the teen more then a little sullen as she sat down, pulling out her sketchbook. She'd calmed down over the grounding, her sister explained survivor's guilt to her, but she was still upset at herself for failing to keep Jackie safe like she'd promised the girl. As a teenager it was more then a little difficult to accept that her sister was right, that she wasn't in any state for routine hero patrol work. Or drawing. Her mind had been a blank, all she could think of was the last time she'd seen Jackie, and the empty desk in fourth period reminded her of it every day in school. The class's new students had gone almost entirely unnoticed by her due to this distraction as she sat there, until they both seemed to speak to themselves, causing her to look over. One was a boy, not bad looking though looking like he'd rather be somewhere else. The girl, a redhead with a comic, looked awfully familiar, but Kayley chalked it up to seeing things, just reminders that played tricks on her mind. "Cool comic," she said, deciding to try and be nice and get out of her shell a little. Maybe if she tried, she might be able to get her mind off it all, and Lucy would lift her grounding sooner rather then later. OUTFITPhantom Frost Flower

Being greeted by the two girls was a little off-putting to Blake. He was never comfortable around women, let alone attractive ones. Giving them a quick half-wave, he looked the other way and tried to calm his nerves. On the outside, he was cool and collected, on the inside, however, he was running through scenario after scenario of what could happen. His target was a girl with white hair and blue eyes. The operations unit ensured to give Blake the exact same schedule as the lady, however she was nowhere to be found. " Perhaps she was sick today?" he thought to himself. Doing another check around the room, Blake tried to convince himself of that. As the teacher started the morning class, she announced that a pop quiz would happen today. "Blake, since you are knew and have not had time to review, you don't have to take it if you wish." Replying with a nod, the ninja simply answered, " A man that is exempt from challenges soon thinks he is above them. I will take the test." With the tests handed out, the boy looked over the questions. While a few were difficult, they weren't above his knowledge. Quickly putting pen to paper, he filled his sheets rather quickly and turned in the assignment before the majority of the class. While he wasn't one to show off and wasn't intending to, Phantom was merely trying to do as his father taught him. Using the remaining time, the boy sat in his desk, closed his eyes and gently rested his hands on his knees. Despite the unusual posture, he was actually meditating. It was, after all one of his favorite pastimes. While sharpening his blade would seem more of a fitting use right now, the mission required he leave all weaponry off campus; a situation that left the boy feeling almost naked. With the ringing of the bell, the teen gave a slight sigh. Partially relieved that the first class of the day was over, yet also annoyed that his target did not show up. Nearing the doorway leading to the hall, a large man stood in his path. Glancing up at the foreboding stranger, Blake's expression didn't change in the slightest. "What, do you assume you're some hotshot huh? Come in from somewhere, show us up like you own the place? Come on, toothpick, you and me, at lunch. I'll show you who's really in charge!" Another sigh escaped his mouth as the teen shoved his way past the barrier. First day on the job and he's already made an enemy. While as much as he would like to avoid the brawl, doing so would only leave the teen with a reputation of not carrying through with challenges, something that his pride as both a ninja and a member of the Cross Clan couldn't stand. " I suppose I could restrain myself slightly," he thought aloud, making his way to his next class. Frost FlowerGemstone

Jackie jumped as the girl next to her spoke up. She missed Kayley walking in. "You-" she spoke up but the teacher insisted on them taking a quiz. Jackie tired a bright red. She hadnt studied do any of this. Yet she did her best. When the bell rang and every one got up she had to stop Kayley before she left. So the girl stood up and moved towards kayley grabbing her hand tightly before she could leave.
"Kay!" She called out in the loudest whisper of a voice. "Wait for me." She spoke, wanting nothing more for the girl before her to notice her one more time. Her attention was taken from kayley when the school bully walked up to the group. Jackie squealed in nervousness but he wasn't interested in her but the boy next to them.
"Kayley.... that boy.... he's going to get hurt. " She spoke quitely clenching into the comic book in one hand and kayleys hand with her other one. "What if we have to step in and help? Be heroes like your comics." She smiled softly. Then turning a shade of red. "I-I missed you."
Jackie kept her ice blue eyes on the girl.

Kayley had kept her attention on the quiz. The new girl's reaction and the new boy's posturing barely registered with her as she wrote down her answers, expecting she'd do mediocre for better or worse on it with all that had been on her mind lately. Once time was up and the bell rang, she got her things up, ready to leave when suddenly her hand was grabbed. She jumped a little, not expecting it and the new girl said her name. She turned and looked at her, confused. How did she...? No. It couldn't be, could it? She was seeing things. Going delusional. There was no way that was... her face looked so familiar, but it had to be her mind playing tricks on her. She looked back and saw the school bigshot Brad was trying to play alpha in front of his pals against the new boy. Seemed it was damned if you do, damned if you don't when it came to making it as a boy in school as before the alien device thing when she was still Kyle being the quiet person who didn't threaten the so-called "alpha males" and just wanted to be left alone got you bullied as well. True she could have taken him easily, now, she'd fought people a lot worse then the school's star athlete as Gemstone, after all, but she'd just get in trouble and have to hold back more then she was willing to, right now. Luckily the boy didn't seem to be buying Brad's sales pitch and went right past him before she could intervene. She felt her hand get squeezed again. Oh right, the girl hadn't let go. The words she said next, though, had taken her by surprise. The comic in her hand... that face... those eyes... "I-I missed you."The teen's eyes widened, she tried to find words but couldn't. Was this real? Was it really her? Did she really come back? "J-Jackie...?!" she stammered. With class clearing out, she needed to take care of this elsewhere. "We should go." she led her to the hallway over by some lockers. "How are you here?! You were gone and... and..." she asked the other girl immediately once they were somewhere. Looked like she'd be late for her next class. Hopefully an excuse like helping a new student find their next class would fly because right now she needed an explanation and hoped to God this wasn't her mind playing tricks on her. Kayley lead jackie out to the hall and closer to some empty lockers. The disguised clad girl never taking her hand from the others. When asked about what was going on jackie bit her bottom lip nervously. Letting go of kayleys hand she lifted the ball cap up a bit and showed the girl the blonde hair underneath.
"After what happened, I was so scared. I knew they would come for me. Just a matter of time. So when i got home i found the cops were already there, i heard my foster parents." She sighed and looked away. "So I thought I should leave. But the more I ran away the worse my powers became. I met a boy in the woods of San Francisco. He was very helpful and kind. After that I decided not to run anymore and i came back...." She spoke softly. "I decided I want to be good. I want to be.... I ..." She took a deep breath.
"I wanna be the person you see in me, not the monster I think I am, because I think you see peices I can't see and i just." She teared up a bit. " I missed you so much." Jackie reached out for kayley wanting nothing more then to embrace the girl before her, just like old times.

Kayley listened as Jackie told her story. Part of her was mad, wanting so badly to yell for leaving her alone and scared to death for her after the incident in the theater. But she just... couldn't. She didn't have the strength to as another, stronger part of her that was happy to have Jackie back won out over that. Tears began to well up in Kayley's eyes despite her best attempts not to. "Jackie..."As her friend reached out, clearly wanting to be held Kayley threw her arms around the other girl and hugged her tight. So tight like she thought there was even the faintest chance this was an illusion or like she'd disappear again. "You had me so worried! Do you have any idea what it was like?! How freaked out I was?! I... Th-there's so much I wanted to tell you..." She held her, sniffling back tears. "God I missed you so much, too!"Jackie's words played in her mind, how her powers grew stronger and harder to control, how someone had helped her and she wanted to be what Kayley saw her as. The teen's heart raced as she held Jackie tightly. "Please... don't ever leave me again," she whispered, her voice full of worry this wasn't going to last and she'd lose her again. Passing the two girls in the hallway, Blake managed to overhear part of their conversation. The was one word muttered that popped out to him, "Jackie". Acting like he wasn't listening, the boy secretly eavesdropped. As if to confirm his suspicions, he glanced over at the red haired woman and, barely able to manage to make out, he saw a shimmer of blonde hair. While normally the name and a wig wouldn't mean much to most people, as far as the average person would surmise, this woman was part of the drama club. However, the ninja knew better than to trust a simple coincidence. This lady was his target. Odd though, she wasn't as volatile as the spec ops made her out to be. Perhaps embellishing their data, the information was construed? This is exactly why the boy preferred to get his intel from the source. Unfiltered, unopinionated facts are the most truthful and give the greatest source of material to work with. Giving a sigh, the boy decided to keep his investigation going for now. This wasn't a typical sneak and strike afterall. Should he deem it necessary, Phantom will put the girl down without a moment's notice. But he has a thing about attacked innocent people, regardless of their position or situation. For now, just remain undercover, the truth will be revealed eventually. While the next class was a simple breeze, the time flew by all too quickly for him. As the bell rang for lunch, Blake gave a sigh, packing his belongings. There was a place he had to be, regardless of his desire to be there or not. A certain bully challenged the clan member and it would be dishonorable to not go through with it. Putting his items in the locker before heading outside to the commons center, he waited for the challenger to arrive. Within a few minutes, he showed, a smirk on his face. Looking the man over, Brad was a good foot taller than Blake with muscles to match the size. One of the top performers of the sports teams and a good blow could prove to be fatal. Most people the size of Blake would be a little hesitant, then again, Blake is far from normal. With a disinterested look and hands in his pockets, Phantom looked at the man dancing on his toes, hands protecting his face. Clearly some experience in kickboxing and not used to losing as the man was all too self-confident. "Last chance now, newbie, beg and I might go easy on you." Closing his eyes and speaking in a calmed tone, Blake responded, " The zebra does not plead for mercy from the lion, regardless of its fate." "I don't know what crap you're trying to spew, but whatever it is, it's your final words." Not even looking at the man, the ninja already could tell where the first strike was coming from. A left haymaker, aimed for the temple. Right before contact, the boy leaned to the side just enough that the strike missed, the wind brushing against his cheek. A second strike, direct from the front. Once more, a slight bend caused the strike to miss. With the smaller boy's fluid movements, he was merely toying with his opponent. A final strike, a kick, mid-height. Stepping to the side, the leg caught nothing but air. Using the brief moment of instability it would cause, he rushed into his target, a forceful knee connect with the bully's gut. With the sound of a painful gasp, he spewed his lunch onto the pavement. Ensuring the fight would end right there, Blake slammed his leg down on Brad's back, level with the shoulder blades, falling to the ground, the instigator was unconscious, without a single scratch on the ninja. " One that brags merely covers their incompetents." With those final words, Blake turned on his heels and headed inside to see what was on the menu for lunch. He was thinking about having a simple ham and cheese sandwich. Frost FlowerGemstone

Jackie held onto Kayley like a the last flower of fall held on to every inch of sunlight and warmth it could get. "I promise." Her words whipped out softly like a cold winter breeze. She ment it too, a promise from Jackie was one that would never break, well atleast she would try her hardest. Jackies next couple classes went on without issue and she took notes like the good noodle she was. When the bell rang for lunch she giggled and found her way to her locker, fiddling around with her stuff and grabbing a few text books and the comic she closed the door and found her way to where Kayley was.
She then saw as the school kids gathered around. It was a fight, one of the kinds she was used to seeing and being apart of. After all children who refuse to play or talk were unnatural and other often picked on those kinds of kids. So she unknowingly passed by the meeting area with kayley and found herself where the group was and the two boys fighting. "P-Please dont...." Her voice rang out but it was nothing but a mere whisper. With all the noise no one would hear her or a pen drop to the floor.
She watched as the new boy put the other on his back in what seemed like seconds. Jackie gasped and as the new kid walked away and others started to follow him, the girl found her way to the bullies side. Sure he was mean, sure he probably deserved every bit of pain he was given, yet seeing him down on the ground unconscious concerned her. So she took a deep breath and tried to pick the boy who was almost three times her size up.
Yet she lacked the strength. She looked at the boy and sighed. Lightly she placed her hand gently over the areas where he was hit and she cooled the areas down. Knowing that a cool aid would help ease the pain. After this she rested his head in her lap and kept his forehead cool. Shame she would miss lunch with kayley, but she was greatful she wouldn't have to sit in the lunch room hungry.

Kayley had emerged from the lunch line with an ample supply of food just in time to see the new boy trash the jock in as many hits as it took seconds to win, causing her to stand there a moment trying to process what she just witnessed. It was kind of like seeing her sister in action. She should know, Lucy had sent her face-first into the mat during sparring exercises at the gym more times then she could remember. She was about to sit down without a second thought when she saw Jackie rush over to help the defeated bully. She had absolutely no love for the asshole who tormented boys who were smaller then him and harassed every girl he could so the sight was surprising to say the least. Did Jackie know anything about this guy who finally got his first taste of humble pie? Deciding she had to hear about this she approached, looking down at Jackie and the barely conscious jock. "Ehhh... Hey, Jackie... what's up?" she asked. "Saw him get his ass kicked... my opinion, it was a long time coming. There's... something up with that new boy, I tell you. He's gotta be like my sister's level..."
Granted she couldn't be sure if he was more capable then her sister or not, she'd only watched a very brief exchange, but she could make an educated guess for now. Either way, that new boy there was something very strange about him... Phantom Frost Flower

Keeping a close eye on the frost girl from a distance, Blake ate his meal in peace, taking careful mental notes on the situation. She was aiding the bully after his defeat. For someone that was labeled as hostile, she was rather gentle. While he did consider the possibility that the man is possibly one of her friends, the hesitation she showed in healing him would've proven that a rather far-fetched theory. After all, from what he understood, this woman was, until only recently, seen without a wig and cap. The only person she's shown it to was that other woman and, unknowingly, Blake. Processing this information was starting to pull his thoughts into a different direction than what his mission would have him believe. While this assignment didn't permit him to think for his own accord, it is stated in his agreement that any missions he takes will allow him to observe any situation and proceed accordingly. As far as he was concerned, this contract was no different. Before too long, the bell signifying the end of lunch rang, prompting the boy to head to his next class. This was the one he was looking forward to: gym. While he had no immediate intentions of showing off, he does enjoy exercise and stretching his limbs. While most of the men chatted and gossiped in the locker room of who was prettier and who looked in tights among the women, the ninja kept his thoughts to himself. However, there was one conversation that caught his attention. "Jackie is pretty hot and her being shy only makes me want to ride her that much more." "Yeah, right, Kayley is much sexier!" With a small sigh, the teen had all he could handle of the locker talk and proceeded outside the building. With word having quickly spread of the new kid's victory, he was already popular, more so than he hoped or wanted. Getting information and tracking his target will only become harder at this rate. It appeared that today they were going to be playing soccer. While not his favorite sport, not that he actually had a preference to begin with, the physical activity was one that he would enjoy. With teams chosen and Blake pounced on the soccerball as soon as the whistle was blown, ducking and dodging the enemy before shooting for the goal, he all but forgot that he was actually on a team. He always preferred to do things alone, whether it be sports or work. The team captain approached the ninja with an annoyed glare. "What the hell, man? I was wide open, why didn't you pass it?" " I already had a shot ready." Frost FlowerGemstone

Jackie looked up at kayley as she spoke about the new kid and how there was something off about him. This made Jackie worry, she had been waiting along time for someone to hunt her down. Perhaps this is what she feared the most. He couldn't be, could he? He was to young to work for the goverment, he was just a kid like her.
"W-well maybe he's um... a hero like you." She whispered softly. Her voice sounded more like she was trying to reassure herself that she was safe from any harm that came from the goverment. "Maybe we can keep an eye on him or um... invite him to tea.... wait no tea. I don't have any....." She whispered worried. As the bully started to wake Jackie smiled at him, by this time she wasn't using any powers on him.
"Hope you are well?" Jackie asked as the boy sat up.
"Great now the nerd squad thinks it's okay to talk to me. Gross." Standing and stumbling his way to the nurse he fell from jackies site. Which caused the girl to sign. Was it really that hard to be kind?
What came after lunch was gym and well Jackie was not looking forward to it. In the locker room she pulled off her regular shirt and pants. She was wearing a matching set of pastel pink laced undergarments, which hugged her in all the right ways. She then slipped the sport shorts on and pulled her shirt on which in her case was a size too small in the chest area. Jackie tugged and pulled but no matter what she couldn't get it to look unnoticeable. Giving a sigh of defeat Jackie turned to marvel at Kayley.
The other girl looked beautiful, the way her body was designed and the full form of the girl made Jackie blush. Quickly Jackie turned away and fumbled with her fingers until it was time to go into the gym.
"Kayley its him. That boy.... BLAKE." She spoke a little to loud as she remembered his name. She did hope he didn't hear her as she really didn't want attention, after all he did look busy talking to the other boys.

Kayley raised an eyebrow at Jackie's suggestion. It wasn't outside the realm of possibility that maybe he was some kind of superhero or vigilante like she was. She didn't consider herself an expert nor was she absolutely certain of it to be the case, but hey, she'd seen a lot of movies and TV shows where this sort of thing happened and with the way the world was, life seemed to imitate art a lot more these days. Jackie offered they invite him to tea or something, causing Kayley to once more raise an eyebrow. First tending to bullies, then wanting to have tea with the guy who trashed him. "Jackie, I swear you got the biggest heart ever," she remarked. Jackie really did seem the kind of girl who just wanted to be nice to everyone. It sickened her to think that anyone would want to harm her. When Brad awoke and showed about as much gratitude as one could expect the teen grimaced. Okay, yeah, she could be called a "nerd" due to her very obvious love for geek things, but she knew there we guys in this school who found her attractive... something that brought a lot of mixed feelings, part of her got uncomfortable about that, the part of her mind that still thought like a heterosexual boy anyway... yet another part of her mind that in itself made her uncomfortable thinking about it was that it flattered her. She remembered overhearing in the hallway once between classes one of Brad's inner circle comment on her having "the most killer body" and she felt the desire to tease a bit before moving on. Weird. Joining Jackie in the locker room as they had gym class next Kayley kept her eyes fixed firmly on her locker, trying her hardest not to blush from all the unclothed girls around her while she changed clothes. She'd been doing this for months, now, yet it still got to her. She noticed Jackie next to her and was unable to look away for just a second. Whoa. She was a lot more... endowed... then her usual clothing choices suggested. She looked so nervous, though, which was always so... cute. It made Kayley blush even more as she hurriedly finished changing. Once they got into the gymnasium Kayley looked over to where Jackie was pointing. Apparently all three of them had another class together. Blake. So that was his name. "Hm... I see what you meant earlier..." she said. It did make her wonder what he did in his spare time to be this good. Phantom Frost Flower

Getting ready to shoot another goal, the teen looked up at the opponent facing him and choked, screwing up the shot and sending the soccerball into the face of another person on his team. Taking a few steps back, the ninja's cheeks were burning red and nearly tripped over himself. Standing in front of him was a girl that had long brown hair in a ponytail. Much like the ones that a certain blue-hair idol would find in her animes. Averting his eyes off to the side, Blake tried to cover his embarrassment, only to see the glare of his "partner" storming up to him. The imprint from the sports ball and a bloody nose made it rather difficult to take the boy seriously as he was attempting to berate the new kid. Rather than just sit there and listen to it, Blake turned around and walked away as if not even acknowledging the boy. "Hey! Don't walk away from me when I'm yelling at you!" Standing off to the side of the field, he took a quick glance at his target, studying her. She didn't seem to be too interested in playing, rather, she continued to hang out with that one woman. His observations were cut short when a face peeked into his tunnel vision, throwing himself back, he managed to get a look at the person. A girl, by the looks of it, a little younger than he was. "Who're you staring at?" Following his direction, she gives a smirk, "Oh... you have a crush on her huh? HEY JAC- mmffhm!" Her voice immediately cut off by a hand around her mouth. " I do not have a... crush on her." "Oh..... HEY KAYL- mmffhm!" once more she silenced. A slight annoyance in his voice, he retorted, " I am merely observing them. I would appreciate it if you left me alone." Giving him a puzzled look, the intruder took a few steps away from him. "HE'S UNDRESSING YOU WITH HIS EYES!" An audible clap was heard as he forcefully laid his forehead in his hand. This is exactly why Phantom knew he would not be a good candidate for this operation. It was the quiet and reserved new kids that somehow drew attention to themselves. He learned that a long time ago. Even when he would just run parkour for sport, not for competition, his actions made him noticed, not his words. This must've been the similar situation, he concluded. He hasn't really struck up a conversation with anyone today, yet he had more eyes on him than he bargained for with just his actions. " So much for incognito," he mumbled to himself as he headed back to the locker room. Next up was biology. While it wasn't the teen's favorite class, he knew enough about the structure of the body and basics of nature. The main extent for his knowledge was in regards towards his "talents" and job. It helped make it easier to pinpoint weaknesses and vital spots to incapacitate enemies. Nevertheless, the boy pulled out his pen and paper, ready to learn the lesson. Having sat clear in the back, he would be able to learn and keep an eye on his target at the same time, two birds one stone, so to speak. Frost FlowerGemstone
