I have a few ideas for who I might play for my freebie. You can pick up to three. I do not consider it binding, but as a gauge of interest. I have included bios for each character even if it's someone prominent.
The Carpenter (Jenny Duffy)
Duffy is a minor Batman rogue who is used as an explanation for how villains with little engineering skill end up with elaborate death traps. Duffy builds them as a contractor. She is treated as a sympathetic villain as she's not really directly violent. I could see her either allying or feuding with Hatter (depending on how he feels about her working with the guys who brainwashed him) and/or allying or feuding with Arcade.
Cyclone (Maxine Hunkel)
Hunkel is a legacy hero, the granddaughter of the Golden Age Red Tornado (not the robot). She is one of the new generation of heroes who joined their elders in the Justice Society. She herself divides her fan girl loyalties between them and the world of Oz. Her powers come from nanites put in her by T.O. Morrow that allow her to generate high velocity winds. Hunkel has a habit of talking in full paragraphs without taking a breath. She'd be fun to play against the younger X-kids/Runaways/Avenger Academy types.
Duke of Oil (Earl J. Dukeston)
Dukeston is a bit of a hybrid of Inspector Gadget and J.R. Ewing. He believed himself to be an oil tycoon who was giving a robot body after an accident on one of his rigs. This is not the case. He is actually full AI. This revelation caused his already tenuous grasp on sanity to completely evaporate. Dukeston's strength is in oil, but he could easily diversify his portfolio. The Duke being an enemy of the environment could be explored. He has fought the Green Arrow family before and could also feud with Poison Ivy.
Hellcat (Patsy Walker)
Walker has an unusual history in that her time as a team romance character is acknowledged as an in universe fiction written by her mother. She may or may not have actual powers depending on the exact incarnation but she is generally a street-level hero. She has been an Avenger and a Defender. Given her family history (Satan is her father-in-law), she could easily be involved in the supernatural. Walker might bond with Baby Doll from both being for all practical purposes child stars.
Kraven the Hunter (Sergei Kravinoff)
A Spider-Man foe, he is a big game hunter who had gotten bored of normal game. He wished to hunt superhumans and to do so not with guns, like a coward, but with his bare hands like a man. He is physically enhanced by a mystic plant to go toe-to-toe with the likes of Spider-Man. This incarnation would be from a universe without Kraven's Last Hunt or his resurrection. I would play him over-the-top as if Brave and the Bold's Aquaman met Beauty and the Beast's Gaston. I could see him also hunting the likes of Rocket Raccoon and Batman.
Rogue (Anna Marie)
Rogue is a prominent X-woman with both a native power set and traditionally a stolen one. Her basic power is to absorb the memories and superhuman abilities of anyone she touches. At one point she absorbed Carol Danvers and took her powers (flight, super strength, super durability). She had it permanently for a good deal of her history. Although this has changed through the years, it's the set I would use. She would be based heavily on the 90s X-men version. I could see her getting along really well with Lady Blackhawk.
