Timeline: After: A Cry Heard City Wide Previous Threads: NA Characters Involved: Puzzles and NPC Characters including Danni Seths Location: New York Streets. Death by ice cream. Had to happen someday. Oh, man. Dinah wasn't giving up the Black Canary in this world, she worked too hard to have this title and she wasn't going to lose it just because the government thought that the vagrants and neo-humans were bad guys. She herself had fought side by side with just about every type of being imaginable. She knew better than to judge a species based on just a small hand full of people. In this new world, it wasn't to hard for her to get new information and even a bank loan to buy an empty building in the center of New York City. The building was a block long, on the bottom floor was a flower shop known as Sherwood Florist. The next four floors would be rooms and mini apartments, she knew she would need them for others if they needed them. The basement floor was known to Dinah as the Bird Cage, it is a place for the Canary to train and keep up her stamina and hide her equipment. It would look even cooler if she had Oracle around. All she had on patrol in new york city was her bike and a small police radio. So she wasn't at all surprised when the radio went off about a car racing fast and the cops being unable to track them. The Canary suited up in her new costume. It was one covered in more leather and one that actually had a mask, as she now had an identity to protect on this earth. So Dinah climbed on her black and yellow motorcycle and took to the streets. It didn't take long for the woman to get in front of the cops and right behind the car in question. She could hear as the police scanner described her bike and her hair and costume. That only made her laugh a little. This world was so against heroes it really was stupid.

Drifting around a sharp corner at about 100 mph, the black car with a green puzzle pinstripe was avoiding the police officers as if they were toying with them. Coming out of the turn, the engine revved before Dean dropped the clutch, screeching the tires and leaving the 5-0 in a cloud of smoke. This was too easy for him. Some of the cruisers were better drivers than others, allowing them to at least stay in the man's rear view mirror, giving a smirk, he shifted once more, taking off like a bullet. As a street light turned red, he blew through it, avoiding a civilian's car by mere millimeters. Laughing at the look on their faces, the leader of the Jigsaws was pulling away from the patrol units.
Sitting next to the neo was a bag full of precious gems and tech from a recent import shipment. While the two might not have much in common, he knew a few people that could fence the jewelry and he could always use the tech for upgrades. Looking in his rearview mirror, a black and yellow motorcycle was nearing in. With a bit of a scowl, he threw it into another gear and gunned the engine once more. Just to ensure to put some distance between him and the biker, he opened a bottle of nitrous oxide and activated the flow. Almost immediately, the car rocked back as flames shot from the exhaust pipe. Any chance of the cruisers to get near him was quickly fading. @canary

This guy was good. Thankfully Canary was just as good. Dinah watched his patterns of driving. Everyone had one, even Dinah did though she did try to mix it up every once in a while. When he kicked up the speed Dinah gave a small smirk. This driver was up for a race and well Dinah didn't want to disappoint him. Thankfully Dinah's bike went faster than the cruisers, it had to in order to keep up with heroes on her earth, plus it was a hand built hand-painted beauty. Dinah drove through the smoke of the flames left in the man's tracks. Dinah pushed forward, while she was behind him she was quickly closing back in on him. There wasn't a chance in hell that this driver was going to get away from someone who has been chasing people since she was nineteen. Once the cops were off the trail of the two Dinah cut back a bit on following the driver. She stayed further behind, almost seeming like he was losing her, when in fact she was following him even better then she did before. Dinah kept her eyes on his tail lights, they were one of a kind so they weren't easy to lose. Every turn he made, every gear he changed, Dinah kept up. Puzzles

With the biker still following him, regardless of his tactic, the man grew more and more annoyed with each passing turn. He has never been caught before and he's not willing to end that streak now. Pulling the e-brake and jolting the steering wheel to the left, the rear of the vehicle pivoted, smoke enveloping the back half of the vehicle. Using the centrifugal force to his advantage, the racer pulled out his pistol and fired three shots at his follower during the time that the car rounded the corner. Dropping the brake and slamming the gas, Dean took off from the corner at almost full speed.
A short ways down the road, his phone started ringing. "Big Boy, perfect timing. I'm on my way, but it seems I have an unwanted stalker, get rid of her." With a grunt of acknowledgement, the conversation ended. Having to buy time for the crew to set up the escape plan, Dean slammed on his brakes and turned the wheel. Doing a half circle, he now faced the motorcycle that wouldn't leave him alone. "You wanna play tag? Fine, you're it" He mumbled under his breath. Throttling the gas, the engine revved and hissed. Engaging the drivetrain and boosting it with a shot of nos, the black vehicle gunned for it's target. The front tires lifted off the ground a few inches due to the high acceleration.

Dinah stopped in her tracks when she realized that the boy had stopped and turned around. As he came towards her in his car she drove at him with hers. Yet she knew how this was going to turn out. She was going to ruin his car, and probably anger the driver. As the two vehicles came closer Dinah took a deep breath, once she was in the right spot she let out the call everyone hated to hear. The cry vibrated through the street and slammed into the car that was racing at her, the high pitched scream was loud enough to break the glass of just about all cars and buildings that were around the two. Once the car was up on her she pulled the bike up and jumped it onto the hood of the car and drove over, landing perfectly on the other side. She then got off the bike and stood on the road.
"Give it up. Maybe I won't break your bones tonight." She called out to the driver who should be able to hear her now. The blonde started walking towards the car. She was going to show this driver not to mess with the law or vigilantes.

The soundwaves of the cray echoed down the street, showering the two vehicles in glass. Due to the high volume, the man was forced to cover his ears as the screech pierced the air and rattled his eardrums. Opening his eyes just in time to see the tires of the motorcycle lift up, he ducked, already knowing where it's going. A thump came from the front of the car and a tire shattered his windshield. While it was bulletproof, even the plexiglass window wasn't strong enough to prevent a two wheeled missile from shattering it.
Slamming his breaks after the impact, Dean looked up and let out a yell from anger. While the durable body itself wasn't damaged, there was a massive scuff mark from the biker using it as a jump ramp. Despite the ringing in the ears, he clearly heard what the lady called out, only pissing him off even more. "Break MY bones?? Dammit, B*tch, when I'm done with you, the only scream you will be doing is for mercy! Just look at my car! You scratched my paint! You could've just stayed away but no, you had to chase after me like the slut you are!"
Pulling out his pistol, the gang leader fired a few more shots at the girl. While he was pissed off and wanted revenge, he had an ulterior motive for keeping her focused on him. Right before she neared his car, the boy's cellphone went off. Giving a smirk, he answered and yelled, "DO IT!"
A train horn blasted through the air as a large pickup rolled down the street. A parked car was crushed like a matchbox from the lifted vehicle as it rolled over it. Throwing his car in first, Puzzles laughed as he sped off. "So long, blondie! Next time you scream, do it for someone that can tolerate you!"

Dinah sighed, thugs were thugs no matter where she was. Always thought they were five steps ahead when in fact they were two steps behind. Dinah ran at the truck that was coming at her, she then slid right under it, and as soon as it passed over her and she got to the back wheel she let out another canary cry. This caused the vehicle to flip over and land on the roof. Dinah watched as the massive man got out of the car. She herself jumped up and got ready for a fight. Thankfully Dinah was used to fighting those who were bigger than herself, and stronger too. As he ran at her she used his strength against him. After a couple minutes of back and forth, Dinah was able get the man down and was able to knock the man out. She then used his phone to figure out exactly where his friend was heading.
When she arrived she was greeted by a woman who was a bit younger than her. "Sorry, but we don't allow your kind in the club. Not after what you did." The blonde haired girl swung at Dinah with the intent to cut her with her nails but Dinah knew better after many years of training. So it didn't take long for Dinah to beat the girl through the door and have her land in the case of glass and alcohol bottles.
"And he called me a slut....this girl dresses worse then I do." Dinah laughed a bit as she walked through the club. "Alright kid, come out with the jewels and I might think of letting little blonde here get away with a warning. "

Seeing his girl get beaten was not a sight Dean enjoyed. His blood boiled as he gritted his teeth. "You want the gems? Fine, take them!" Tossing a bag into the air, he flicked his wrist, sending his hand flying at her chest while his other hand pulled out his pistol fired off several rounds at the intruder. Picking up his girl, Puzzles sprinted out to his car, put her in the passenger seat and climbed into the driver. Throwing it in reverse, the man backed up, aiming for the stray bike parked outside before speeding off. Giving a smirk as he fled, the leader opened up the center console in the vehicle to show his partner in crime the bag still containing the gems. "As if I'd give them up that easily."
Jumping onto the highway, the boy drove up behind a semi-truck as the rear door opened, allowing the racer to pull inside. Climbing out of the driver seat, Dean gave a knuckle bump to one of his gang members. Pointing at a second one, he bellowed out, "Take care of Danni. As soon as my car's ready, I have a B*tch I need to kill."

Death by ice cream. Had to happen someday. Oh, man “ Dinah had captured the gems in her arms and watched as the hand and the bullets flew at her. With a scream that shattered all the liquor bottles the hand and the bullets changed direction. Dinah was beyond pissed when the man ran over her motorcycle. You could almost see a vein pop in her neck as she got tense. She watched as he sped away. She found her way to the back where there were goons talking about the latest squeezes they had gotten from some of the girls on the inside. Dinah rolled her eyes, men could be such pigs. They seemed to notice as she walked up and they pulled out their guns, this was the woman who was after her boss. "Stop right there lady, you ain't going nowhere." The one spoke to her and Dinah cracked her knuckles. "Bring it, kid. I'll show you to the ground." She spoke as she took a fighting stance. The men ran at her and she smiled. She loved putting little boys in their place when they deserved it, and these ones they deserved it. It didn't take her very long to leave a string of the man's goons lying on the floor crying out in pain as she had brought down upon them the fury of the Canary. All that was left was to train the kid and bring him to justice, after all, he did ruin her handmade bike. So she got into one of the cars that were sitting in the lot, it was one of the goons as it had a signature in the car. Placing the gems in the center console, She pulled out and raced after the other car. Sure she was extremely far away but she could catch up. After all,it wouldn't be hard to find a car that wasn't following the laws. ”

As the hatch on the semi trailer lowered, the black race car pulled out of the rear, rearmed and ready for a showdown. As soon as all four tires were on the pavement, Dean dropped the clutch and sped off. Behind him, a pale blue car was pulling up. At first he thought it was one of his crew members, but the behavior was off. It was less like an ally and more like someone heading straight for the puzzle car. Throwing it down a gear, he gunned the engine and quickly rose to break neck speeds. Picking up the walkie, he pressed the button, "So, little B*tch thinks she can steal one of my boy's whips and hunt me down, huh? Sucks to be you, Blondie, but you're dealing with the king of cars. I own these roads."
Pulling the e-brake, Puzzles screeched the tires as he pivoted in a 90 degree turn before peeling out and heading down the local roads. As much as he wished he could escape that easy, the car she just so happened to steal was one that was equipped with high end shocks and a full tank of boost. If she's half as good as his team, the leader will be in for a good chase. With a smirk growing on his face, Dean pressed the gas harder, quickly approaching a heavily congested traffic lane. "Keep up if you can, whore. You're not going to be able to catch me." With mere millimeter from each car, he was going as fast as his car was able to. The slightest mistake would spell immediate death for any involved in the crash. But these were the thrills that got his heart pumping. This is what he lived for. The more dangerous the drive, the more willing he was to go for it. @canary
