Marvel: Evolution
"To Homo neanderthalensis, his mutant cousin, Homo sapiens, was an aberration. Peaceful cohabitation, if it ever existed, was short-lived. Records show, without exception, that the arrival of the mutated human species in any region was followed by the immediate extinction of their less-evolved kin."
The stage has been set. The die cast. Where it will land no one can tell. Magneto has brought the existence of mutants out of the shadows in a most brazen and violent manner. Fears have been stoked, hatred fans the flames. One man has chosen to temper those fears and that flame. Professor Charles Xavier has gathered his students and has sent them out into the world to face his long time friend. His hope the only counter to Magneto's vengeance.
Magneto's Brotherhood isn't the only threat facing the world. Humanity has a tendency to hate what it does not understand. Men of evil intent have begun to infect the hearts and minds of average everyday people with dangerous rhetoric. Further inflaming fears and biases.
Will the X-men be enough to bridge the gap to peaceful coexistence? Will Magneto get the war he desires? Or will the world tear itself apart?
Marvel: Evolution is a forum based role play game that pulls inspiration from all sources. The site's current plot focuses solely on the mutant question, though with time our plot will expand to include other evils and the heroes that stare down those evils.
