Physical Appearance:He's rather short at 4'7,and skinny with it too.Not exactly a kid who thrives on muscle driven combat,though that won't exactly stop him from giving you a whack with his staff if need be. As you can see in the picture,he has black, messy hair, and bright red eyes. However, the difference is is that he prefers clothes in varying dark shades, to better blend into the shadows he feels so comfortable in,and also tends to wear shades when out in public.He does have brown contacts,occassionally, but they're not exactly cheap,and he doesn't have enough money to really stock up on them. (Plus, he doesn't like putting them in anyway.) When he's in his 'scare off the jerks' mode, he wears a black, skeletal, but faceless airsoft mask.



Personality:Upon first interacting, you'd notice a boy that's rather quiet,being both shy and wary. The time he's spent traveling alone has taught him to be careful about trusting people too quickly, and thus he's likely to be withdrawn for a little while. That said, Cor does have another side to him once he relaxes. When he's relaxed around you, the boy's playful, kind, and just a tad bit mischievous. Said mischievousness usually manifests in playful snarking and teasing, and the rare prank.Though, it's quite possible letting him hang out with another prankster could lead to many more pranks incoming. 

As stated above, he's kind,liking to help people on the rare chances where he can,and even after getting to know someone he can be a bit shy. If there's someone he trusts around,and they're in a social situation(such as meeting someone new) he feels wary about, Cor tends to stick near them, stepping closer to their side if he gets more nervous or shy. He also enjoys warm, friendly contact. He's also loyal to his friends,and dislikes bad guys, doing his upmost best to turn the hair of any gangster, or any other baddie, that's unfortunate enough to wander onto his path stark white with his Shadow Puppets. (Though, Neohunters are another story entirely.He's rather wary about attracting theirattention.) Cor enjoys dancing and music, and also enjoys anime whenever he gets the opportunity to watch.The boy also seems to enjoy making puns on occasion.



Powers:Nyxblooded: Cor belongs to a long, long line of demigods descended from the greek goddess Nyx. As such,he has the ability to control things associated with the night. This has manifested in the ability to see clearly in utter darkness, and manipulation of darkness and shadows  by not just moving them around, but in a variety of other ways, listed below.His magic is godly/holy in origin,and thus hits demons and unclean spirits a little harder then it does with other people. For example, where a blow with his staff would make a human man stagger back a step,it'd knock a demon of the same size and shape over. If things are desperate,he can also use his blood to temporarily 'bless' a ally's(or his own,if it isn't crafted shadows) weapon so that it has the same effect. This lasts for,at most, 15 minutes, or ends much sooner should the blood be wiped off in mid combat.

Shadowcrafting: Using any shadows/darkness around him, he can form various weapons and objects. At the moment, there are only two objects he can create,and they have the durability of bronze. The first is a stick, sometimes with the addition of a long,straight prong near the tip,that ranges in lengths from a staff to workhammer handles.The second is a simple, small knife.

Dark Tendrils: Using nearby shadows, he can form tendrils that range from 3 inches to a foot in a length,and from a string to regular rope in width, with the durability that comes with said width. He can form up to five tendrils per shadow.The tendrils have to wrap firmly around in order to get a good grip.

Shadow Puppets: Using any areas of darkness,he can form three dimensional, detailed images of various people and beings. His usual repertoire is various frightful monsters from both common legends, scary movies/games (or at least inspired by them), and of his own invention,though he can form other things as well. His Puppets' sizes range from bugs to the size of a truck, though they lack the ability to do any damage.They're solid justenough that brushing against them will give you a solid feeling, but a firm push will cause them to fall apart easily.

Shadow-portation: If a shadow is large enough,he can enter through it and exit out of another one. He has a max range of 15 feet with this,and can't do too many all at once without getting really dizzy and off balance. At the moment, his limit is around 6 rapid fire ones.

Shadowcloak: If he concentrates, he can take darkness around him,and weave it into a 'cloak' that can hide him and two other people in dark areas. (Basically, it allows them to really blend into the shadows.) However, it requires a good bit of concentration to hold it for more then a few seconds,(meaning he can't fight with it), and currently can only last 2 minutes.This technique can wear him out a good bit if he's not careful, so Cor only uses it if he absolutely needs to.

Abilities: He's a good dancer, and decently agile. Cor's also good at using his powers to compliment his dancing, if  he's in a safe enough place to do so.



Weapons/Equipment:At the moment, only what he can form with his shadows, at least weapon wise. he does have a bike for making deliveries.


History:Long, long ago, during the time of monsters, myths,and gods, there was a man,who, though unknown now, Nyx, Goddess of the Night, sought to extend Her influence a small, subtle measure upon the mortal realm, and thus chose a mortal man to claim as kin. Due to Her blessing, which made his body and soul as influenced by Nyx as if he was directly descended from Her, his hair turned pitch,and his eyes, as red as polished rubies,and he gained mastery of the sacred darkness. His was the blade in the night,his the shadowed hand that guided things as according to his Goddess's wishes,and his the voice that sometimes whispered in the ears of important people during their sleep. Eventually, he found a woman to have as his wife,and together they had a family. His children had the same hair and eyes,and abilities,as his own. They too grew to have adventures,and they too had families...And so it continued, for centuries. However, as the world slowly turned to cast aside such things as acceptance in the mythical and strange, their influence grew even smaller and more subtler, till they ceased...

And so we come to a time around twenty years ago. Elenia Sullivan, one of the latest Nyxborn,was backpacking across America.Eventually she met a fellow traveler who seemed open to traveling with her for a little while. As they got to know eachother, they decided to stay in touch after the trip,and eventually began to date. After a few years,this led to engagement,then marriage. Eventually, she was pregnant with Corvin,and prepared to tell her husband about what exactly she was. Unfortunately, he caught her without her contacts before she was ready,and reacted badly. Escaping, she traveled back to her hometown and friends, and raised Corvin there.

Other then being taught how dangerous letting people know what he was, and how to hide, the boy had a fairly decent childhood. He had friends, and went to school,and had a loving parent, and grandparents before they submitted to age. However, the good life wasn't fated to last...Neohunters somehow found out,and came after them. Elenia told him to run,and held the hunters back. Escaping, he waited at a pre agreed place,but was forced to run again after a hunter found him. Finding himself on the run and traveling, the boy searched for a place to feel safe. Fortunately, a few months ago he found Sun City,and took up not just the usual buskering,but also delivering lightweight objects in his day jobs, as well as defending from what criminals are there as Skotos.


Weaknesses:

Shadowcraft durability: At the moment,they're only as durable as bronze, and thus relatively easy to break and bend.

Tendrils: They're easy to escape so long as you don't allow them to wrap around and get a good grip.Just got to be quick,and pay attention.

Shadow Puppets: These are extremely easy to destroy,and utterly incapable of causing any physical harm.

Shadows too small: If a shadow is too small,he can't use it to teleport, and if a exit shadow is too small he can only exit part of the way.

Shadowportation Dizziness: If forced to teleport too many times,he can be rendered relatively harmless, by virtue of being unable to focus, or even stand.

Cloak weariness: Similar to the above weakness,repeated use of the cloak sucks his energy out of him quickly. This can lead to him being too sleepy and unfocused to fight back.

Light: A big weakness. The more light,the less darkness,and the less he can use to defend himself. If a room/area is sufficiently bright enough, he's rendered practically powerless.If he's in the middle of exiting a shadow,and someone shines a light on said shadow, he's left trapped till the shadow comes back.He's also more susceptible to the 'sudden light after dark room' blindness then most people.

Naive: Despite what he's gone through, he's still a bit naive,and thus a tad easy to trick.

Temper: Sure,he's a kind hearted kid,but everyone has their temper point. If you hit his, he can be...overly focused,allowing one of your allies to flank him and take him down.

The Hunters: Is really really scared of those who hunt people like him, especially the government sponsored ones.
