The Green Goblin: Madman, genius, megalomaniac (carrier of man purses) Norman Osborn is Spidey's arch nemesis. Over the years he's been dead, resurrected, an evil billionaire business man, the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and even called himself the Iron Patriot while wearing one of Tony Stark's armors. His crazy is matched only by his evil and ambitiousness and he remains one of Peter's deadliest enemies, his actions directly responsible for the death of Spider-Man's first love Gwen Stacy.
Doctor Octopus: Otto Octavius, fused to the metal arm apparatus he developed, has a genius scientific mind, a murderous streak, and a hatred of the wallcrawler. Oh, and a bowl cut, don't forget that!
Morlun: One of the Inheritors, an extra-dimensional race of vampire-like beings that devour Spider Totems (people with Spidey powers!) he has managed to kill Spider-Man before (eating his eye in the process) and hits harder than the Hulk. If anything can cause Spidey nightmares, it is him.
Mister Negative: Martin Li is a man of dual natures. Operating a homeless shelter/soup kitchen as a respectable businessman he also took over from The Kingpin as a gang lord. With his army of super powered Inner Demons and a connection to the Darkforce. His version of doing what is right means killing to get what he wants, altering the personalities of people that may oppose him, and making Spider-Man's life a living hell.
Carnage: The symbiote offspring of Venom bonded with serial killer Cletus Kassady, the pair have become Carnage. A chaos worshipping monster of pure death, Carnage has a body count that just keeps rising and a hatred of Spider-Man who has stopped his murderous ways on multiple occasions.
Black Cat: Thief, anti-hero, bringer of bad luck (seriously, its a power!), and on again off again love interest of the Amazing Spider-Man. Felicia may be a friend (sometimes with benefits) but she complicates Peter's life. Every. Single. Time.

The Lizard: Doctor Curt Connors lost his arm. Attempts to repair it by using the same process lizards can regrow tails turned him into the The Lizard. Sometimes feral, sometimes retaining his genius he is both a villain and a victim, Peter's friend and foe.

Kraven the Hunter: Sergei Kravinoff lives to hunt the most dangerous game imaginable, especially Spider-Man! Having thought he completed the hunt by burying the wallcrawler alive, Kraven killed himself only to return years later when his wife, son, and daughter hunted down and sacrificed spider-themed heroes to try and resurrect their father...only after putting the original Spidey through a gauntlet of his worst foes!

The Human Torch: Card carrying member of the Fantastic Four, Johnny Storm is one of the few people who Spidey trusts with his secret identity and is the first superhero to truly accept the wallcrawler as part of the crime fighting crowd. They remain good friends even when not knocking bad guy heads in, their relationship like that of brothers with many shared experiences. Spider-Woman II/Arachne/Madame Web: whether she is acting as a superhero, working for the government as a sanctioned agent, or as the new Madame Web, Julia Carpenter has always been one of my favorite characters. Her costume was the inspiration for the black suit Spidey got during the Secret Wars, her psionic wallcrawling and webbing sets her apart from every other spider-themed person out there, and her being a single mom adds a depth to the character that others lack. With her upgrade into being the new Madame Web she may have lost her eyesight, but all her other powers are intact and she is connected to the great web which connects all Spider-Totems and has influence on reality herself. An underrated character she'd be very welcomed by me (She even dated Tony Stark in the Iron Man cartoon of the 90's) and her psychic visions would enable her to be a part of many a story with the added conflict of not her not trying to influence the decisions of others due to knowing what will happen. I'd be down for any version of the character. Kaine Parker/Scarlet Spider (II): a clone of Peter Parker created by The Jackal, Kaine has most the same abilities as Spider-Man. Due to the degeneration process clones suffered from he looked older and had several deformities on one side of his face. He fought against his "brothers" Peter Parker and Ben Reilly (The Scarlet Spider and temporary Spider-Man) and later went on to become a mercenary. Eventually with Peter's help his scars were healed as was the rapid aging. Free to live his own life for the first time he set out on his own, eventually being hunted down and killed by Kraven's family...only to return as The Other. Now lacking a spider-sense but gaining organic webbing, stingers, and the ability to turn into a man-spider creature around supernatural threats he fights as the Scarlet Spider using a stealth suit Peter had designed. Not afraid to use lethal force he wants to be a better man, but does not call himself a hero. He has all of the power...none of the responsibility.
