Physical Appearance:

     Max stands about 6 feet and two inches tall. He weighs in around 190 pounds, which for his height is a rather lean, but very athletic, build. His hair, which is a deep silver color, usually reaches down to his shoulders, but he's been known to keep it short, or even bald entirely. He has striking blue-gray eyes, that seem to be able to see into ones soul. However, when he's using his Electromagnetic Sight, his eyes have been known to be completely white, and even give of a glow to them.








Personality: 


Max is an incredibly complex man. He's been seen as a terrorist, a hero to mutants, a Mutant Right Activist, a king, a leader and even a martyr. The man that would become Magneto proved early on that he was an incredibly resourceful kid, smuggling foods and goods to the rest of the people within the Nazi concentration camp. A brillaint man, a fearless combatant, and a merciless protect of Homo-Superior, Max would put the needs of the many against the needs of the few. Going so far as fighting against the X-Men in what he believed would be right Magneto makes no apologies, he does take prisoners and has held the world hostage for the rights that he felt mutants earned.

Many feel he is a terrorist, but they don't understand the atrocities that Magneto witnessed first hand at the most evil group in history. All the bloodshed, and senseless killing, made Max realize that you had to fight fire with fire. That's not to say that what he had done was the right thing, but you could understand how he felt. Magneto has no problem with making himself a symbol, putting his life on the line to show his brothers and sisters that peace could never happen.



Powers: Bear with me, this is a long one:


     Magnetokinesis: Magneto has comprehensive control over all forms of magnetism and the light spectrum. He can utilize this control to manipulate organic and non-organic metals, such as Colossus' metal form, the Adamantium bonded to Wolverine's bones and even use the Earth's natural electromagnetic field. Magneto has harnessed his power to stop entire armies, raise islands from ocean floors, move mountains, change the course of rivers and threaten to devistate the world with floods and earthquakes. Magneto has even gone so far as to blanket the entire Earth with a self-generated electromagnetic pulse (E.M.P.) that caused widespread destruction. It should also be noted, however, that Magneto's powers can be used in more than one way, simultaneously. Some of the more extreme uses of Magneto's powers have been to assemble Asteriod M, hold a Celestial together, and pull a prison that was several lightyears from Earth, back to his location. Below are a list of some of the abilities that Magneto has with his Magnetokinesis:

• Magnetic Force-Fields: Magneto usually protects himself with a personal force field that he can quickly expand to protect large areas. His force field has withstood the effects of multiple nuclear weapons, volcanic eruptions, the depths of space, and attacks from multiple Avengers or X-Men. Magneto can also use his force fields to hit or trap an enemy, and also levitate objects and beings in the air.
• Magnetic Armor: In addition to the obvious external force fields, Magneto can reinforce the metallic fibers of his uniform with magnetic fields, making his clothing like armor with a durability approaching adamantium. He can resist punches from superhumanly strong foes such as Namor or Colossus and remain conscious.
• Magnetic Rays: Magneto has the ability to shoot powerful rays and electromagnetic pulses, and has shown this ability to destroy both metallic and nonmetallic objects. Magneto can also use this ability to seriously injure his enemies, as he did with Storm, for example.
• Magnetic Flight: Magneto is capable of sustaining flight for very long distances and at varying speeds. Apocalypse, through attempting to replicate Magento's power in Mystique, mentions Magneto interlaces with magnetic field lines in his immediate surroundings rather than along it. This was later confirmed by Beast and later Sinister who formed a temporary alliance to snap Mystique out of Apocalypse's influence. However, in order to travel in space, Magneto requires, and is limited, by the interior capacity of his force field to breathe.
• Geomagnetic Link: Magneto's x-gene plays an important role in mediating tactile perception to Earth's electromagnetic field. This trait remained even when rendered temporarily powerless by Lilandra. As it is effected, so is he. He knows instinctively all that happens to it.
• Gravity Reduction: Magneto's control over the magnetic and electromagnetic force is so refined that he can shut off gravity within a limited radius of himself by reversing the polarity of the earth's own magnetic field.
• Metal/Matter Manipulation: Magneto can manipulate metal at the atomic level and make it take different forms. Magneto also demonstrated the ability to indirectly manipulate non-metallic objects via metal ores they may contain, for example the huge island that Magneto levitated due to iron ore that were therein. Magneto is also capable of creating powerful electromagnetic fields capable of moving and manipulating nonmetallic objects, as well as levitating them (he can also do this via force fields).
• Organic Iron Manipulation: Magneto can control the trace amounts of iron within organic matter and can manipulate the iron-enriched blood-flow to one's brain, to potentially induce very limited effects, such as causing an enemy to fall asleep. There are only 2.5 grams of iron in the bloodstream of a healthy human body and perhaps a gram at most in the rest of the body. As a reference, a penny weighs 2.5 grams. Magneto has used his magnetic abilities to extract the adamantium bonded to Wolverine's skeletal structure.
• Electromagnetic Sight: By concentrating, Magneto can perceive the world around himself as patterns of magnetic and electrical energy. He can perceive the natural electromagnetic auras given off by living beings
• Electromagnetic Spectrum Manipulation: Although Magneto's primary power is magnetism, he can also project or manipulate any form of energy within the electromagnetic spectrum, though this is extremely tiring for him so he primarily sticks to magnetism. He can potentially shoot and absorb forms of electromagnetic radiation or energy, create intense heat as infrared radiation, and become invisible by deflecting visible light around his body. The electromagnetic spectrum includes visible light, radio waves, ultraviolet light, gamma rays, and x-rays -- Magneto can project any of these to some extent, though doing so would dramatically tire him.
  
  
  • Electrokinesis: Magneto is capable of generating and projecting powerful bolts of electricity, due to his manipulation over the electromagnetic spectrum. Because of his control over the electromagnetic spectrum, Magneto is capable of absorbing bolts of lightning, and projecting an electric aura around himself.
  
  
  Abilities:
  
       Genius Intelligence: A mastermind, Magneto is a genius in various scientific fields. He is an expert in genetic engineering and mutation. He has created artificial living beings, mutated humans in order to give them superhuman powers, instilled genetic mind-control, created adult clones of human beings, and manipulated the genetic structures of those clones during their development. His discoveries in particle physics would revolutionize the field and place him among the giants of scientific history if they were to be revealed. He has designed magnetically-powered aircraft and spacecraft, space stations, an underground complex said to be a masterpiece of automated technology that would do Tony Stark or Reed Richards proud, complex robots and computers, magnetically-powered generators, and machines capable of nullifying mutant powers within a radius of several miles.
  
       Telepathic Resistance: Magneto has trained himself extensively for fighting telepaths, and is resistant to telepathic attack. This training is similar to that given to the X-Men and New Mutants by Professor X, although the effects are further augmented with the aid of his helmet, his strong will, and his own electromagnetic powers.
  
       Multilingual: Magneto is fluent in English, French, Polish, Russian, Hebrew, Arabic, Ukrainian, German, and Yiddish.
  
  
       Indomitable Will: Magneto will strive to complete his tasks, no matter what it takes.
  
  
       Military Training: Magneto has more than a rudimentary knowledge of hand-to-hand combat.
  
  
       Excellent Strategist: Magneto is an excellent strategist, tactician, and skilled leader.
  
  
  
  
  Weapons/Equipment:
  
  
       Helmet: Magneto's helmet is built to shield his mind from psychic probes and manipulation.
  
       Armor: The costume that Magneto wears is actually a type of armor that he has created through the use of his magnetic powers. The costume is actually an amalgam of various lightweight but highly durable metallic alloys that further protect him from physical injury. He can also use different metals surrounding him to enhance his armor, making it as strong as Tony Stark's Iron Man Armor
  
  
  
  
  History:
  
  
  Unspeakable Pain
  
  
  
       To say that Magneto's history is tragic, is like saying the sky is blue. We *percieve* the sky as blue, but that's only basic understanding, deeper down it all has to do with light rays, etc. Tragic, is a basic understanding, but he's suffered far worse than most. Magneto started life in Nurember, Germany where he met a young girl that he fell in love with. While trying to show off, he ended up getting expelled from school and beaten by the other students. It's unclear what happened after this but it was shown that Max and his father took a trip to see a friend of his fathers, but that ended horribly, as his father was left bloodied, and warned that they could've been killed. As things worsened in Germany, with the Nazis gaining more control, Max and his family ran too Poland, living in the Jewish ghetto of Warsaw.
  
       They managed to escape, only to get captured again, and this time Max's father was killed. Max, despite his father's last efforts to save his son, was taken, and brought to the Vernichtungslager (Extermination Camp) in Auschwitz, Poland. Max spent his early life working as a Sonderkommando; the squad of Jewish men who were forced to help their Nazi masters run the gas chambers, ovens, and fire pits of the camp. Due to a bout of hepatitis, Max was unable to use his mutant powers, unlike many of the other teens, which meant that Max was left suffering for needless reasons. While he was in Aushwitz, Max managed to be reunited with Magda, the girl that he fell in love with back in school. Because she was there Max became a smuggler, getting her food whenever she needed.
  
       Eventually, the entire Sonderkommando revolted, attacking their Nazi masters. In the confusion, Max and Magda managed to get away, fleeing to a Carpathian Mountain Village. Eventually the two married, and had a daughter named Aya. Due to their past, Max visited a forger, and got himself a fake name, Erik Lehnsherr, adding Magnus to differ himself from the dead man the forger took the name from. Not content with a simple life, Magnus moved himself and his wife to a soviet city. On the first day of work, Magnus used his powers for the first time, hurling a crowbar at his boss who was cheating him of his pay. Fleeing from the workplace, he returned to the hotel that he and Magda were staying at, only to find it was on fire. Magnus tried to save his daughter, who was trapped on the upper floors, but his former boss called the KGB, who pinned Magnus to the ground, forcing him to watch his daughter, aflame, fall to her death.
  
       In retalition for the death of his daughter, Magnus used his powers to destroy the men holding him, the crowd watching, and a large section of the city of Vinnitsa in revenge. Terrified for her life, and of his powers, Magda fled, supposedly pregnant with the twins, Wanda and Pietro.
  
  
  
  Charles Xavier and Nazi Hunting
  
  
       At some point in time, Magnus travelled to Haifa, Israel, where he worked as a volunteer orderly at a psyciatric hospital for Holocaust Victims. It was here that Max met and befriended a man named Charles Xavier. Magnus and Xavier often debated the subject of mutants, the coexistence of mutants and humans, peace, war, and often times over games of chess. Though they often debated, they never revealed their powers, until they had to team up to save a woman from Baron von Strucker and his HYDRA agents. After their team up, Magnus took some of HYDRAs gold and fled. Realizing that he and Xavier's world views were just far to different for them to be able to work together any longer.
  
  
       Awhile after his time in Israel, Magnus tried to be righteous, working as a Nazi hunter for an unspecified governmental group, believed to be either the C.I.A. or M.I.6. However, while he worked for the unknown group, he was also working for Mossad, the Israeli Special Forces, and instead of turning Nazis over to the Western group, he gave them to Israel, to stand trail for hate crimes and crimes against humanity. It seemed, however, that the Western government, knew of his status as a double agent, and allowed things to go on, until Magnus tried to take a specific Nazi. The government, in retalition, killed Magnus' then girlfriend in front of him. In his rage, Magnus killed the agents from the government and adopted the name of Magneto, vowing to show humanity no mercy for their transgressions against him.
  
  
  
  The Brotherhood of Mutants and the X-Men
  
  
  
       It wasn't to far later after the death of Isabelle, that Magneto appeared in all his costumed and helmted glory. Leading a team he called The Brotherhood of Mutants, which, unbeknownst to him, his son, Pietro, and his daughter, Wanda, were members of, Magnus did battle against the X-Men and Professor Xavier on several occasions. Each time, both men trading words, and showing eachother how far they had come since their time in Israel. Their battles escalated, each time with Magnus having grander and grander designs on World Domination, until he realized that what he needed wasn't complete control, but a safe haven for his mutant brothers and sisters. That was how Asteroid M came to be, and later on down the road, the soverign nation of Genosha. Both of which Magneto would use to plot, protect, and watch the world for any threats.
  
       At some point, in his travels across the world, Magneto came across a treasure trove of alien records and scientific equipment. Magnus used all this to create Alpha, the Ultimate mutant, but that would be his undoing as Alpha found Magneto wanting, and turned Magneto back into an infant. Professor Xavier found the baby, and took him to his friend named Moira McTaggert in an attempt to give Max a better life than the one he knew. However, an alien calling himself Erik the Red, re-aged Magneto. And in an attempt to pay Erik back, went and battled the X-Men, restarting the cycle all over.
  
  
  
  New Earth
  
  
       All of this though is history, Magneto was peacefully ruling over Genosha and still keeping up appearances as a Mutant Right Activist. The man was enjoying a peaceful day when all hell had broken lose. Aircraft started a bombing run, destroying over half of the buildings and killing an unknown amount of civialians. Soldiers started to invade the beaches of Genosha, mowing down everyone that they could. Magneto began his attack, but that didn't matter, as a portal had appeared roughly fifteen feet in front of him. It had appeared so quickly that Magneto had no chance of evading it and flew straight through. Keeping a shield up, Max stared into nothing. The world, if you could call it that was pitch black, no noise, no lights. If this what was being dead was like, Magnus could do without it.
  
       He travelled along, not under his own power, but through some unknown force. The images of Genosha burning where still firmly in his mind. How could that have happened, and how could he not be there to save his people. As soon as he got free from this place, he was going to ruin many, many peoples day. A bright light had appeared, and Magneto started to move even more quickly towards the light. Magneto braced for the gun fire, prepared for the combat, only to be greeted with a sunny day. Hovering over the city, Magneto looked around. He was in San Francisco? Who had opened the portal? Who had attacked Genosha? Magneto looked towards the east, he suspected that answers were going to be that way.
  
  
  
  Weaknesses:
  
       Physical Condition: Magneto's ability to wield his superhuman powers effectively is dependent upon his physical condition. When severely injured, his body is unable to withstand the strain of manipulating magnetic energy. When his powers are not at their peak, he also appears to have greater difficulty utilizing his magnetism for great feats. He is also susceptible to physical and mental fatigue that can ultimately affect his ability to adequately use his powers, especially if he overuses or extends them in a short amount of time.
  
  
       Mutant Annihilation: Max is terrified of the idea of his people being massacred all over again. Because of this fear, Magneto doesn't hold back when mutant lives are on the line.
  
  
       Arrogant: Magneto is rather full of himself, thinking that his powers are on a level that nobody can handle. This has caused him problems, as he's gotten in over his head more than once.
  
  
       Depression: Magneto has a propensity for mental illness and depression. Magneto has suffered repeated episodes of mental illness, mental breakdowns, and mania. These literal "bi-polar" tendencies were once diagnosed by Moira MacTaggert as possibly being a natural side effect of his powers.
  
       Nazis: Due to his history with Nazis, Magneto has a deep rooted hatred for them. The Red Skull and HYDRA are always on Magneto's mind, and if they were to ever meet, Magneto's rage and desire for their destruction would make him forget his mission.

  Magneto's magnetism is so strong that he was able to bend the adamantium in Wolverine's skeleton and remove it from his body completely.
  
  Despite being a teenager during the Holocaust, due to being de-aged to a baby and then re-aged, Magneto has the body of a man in his prime.
