Physical Appearance: Drax stands at about 6' 3" and is most notable for his naturally blue skin. He is very physically fit and has tattoos and carvings all over his body, as is custom of his species. As a proud warrior of his people, Drax takes pride in doing battle and always has his swords with him. He has no hair on his body and doesn't wear a shirt. However, the muscle mass usually wears a pair of pants made from a material not unlike kevlar and polyester. His combat boots have special holsters in them that are designed to house his swords when not in use.

Following customs of his people, Drax has symbolic tattoos all over his body. The etchings all over him are dyed a blood red, contrasting against his body, enabling them to stand out. His body is incredibly durable and heals from most fights, leaving barely even a scar.






Personality: Drax is easily excited and loves to fight. However, he does tend to console those he cares about, albeit, not in the most recognizable manner. When most people describe his, his intelligence is definitely not high on the list. Confused by metaphors and word play, he tends to speak in a more simplistic manner and doesn't like using long, drawn out sentences. When confronted, he is often the first one to pull a weapon and believes in the "Pummel first, ask later" policy.






Powers: super-strength: Drax is able to lift several tons over his head with little effort. He is also able to punch through stone and metal barriers with ease.

Super-endurance: His skin is not easily broken and he can take a beating that would often kill most others. Even falling from great distances does little more than leave him sore. While not invincible, very little can cause him actual harm.

Enahnced agility: Drax can run at incredible speeds and able to leap over 60 feet in a single jump.

Enhanced reflexes: His reflexes enable him to be a powerful fighter on the field, often able to overcome many with more advanced weaponry

Healing Factor: He is able to healing from fractures and cuts quickly, often within a few minutes.

Enhanced senses: His senses are beyond the capabilities of most other species. He is able to tell the difference between species simply by smell and can sense energy pulsations.






Abilities: Expert combatant: Drax is able to fight off multiple enemies at once and quickly overpower them. 

Expert knife-wielding: Few are able to match Drax's skill when it comes to knife fighting. He has fought and beaten multiple enemies, including war generals and others with cybernetic enhancements.

Expert Marksman: When throwing his blades or firing a cannon, Drax is able to focus and hit his targets with great precision.






Weapons/Equipment: Dual Knives: special swords made from a unique material that is nearly indestructible. They are easily able to cut through high quality metals and deflect blasts.






History: Drax was born a planet that lived a more simplistic lifestyle. Many of his people were warriors and honored their sacred traditions. Growing up, he eventually fell in love with and married his wife, Hovat. He knew she was the one after seeing her not dancing or having fun at a tribal gathering. Together, they had a daughter named Kamaria, whom he loved deeply and cherished. However, as with all good things, it was quickly ended when Ronan the Accuser slaughtered half his people, including Hovat and Kamaria.

Filled with rage and seeking vengence, Drax traveled the galaxy, killing dozen before eventually being arrested and detained at the Kyln. There, he met his unlikely crew and they escaped together, albeit on uneasy terms at the time. While all hated and despised each other at first, the rag-tag team eventually came together to stop Ronan, killing the villain in the process. With his family avenged, the man finally found some solace before the Guardians of the Galaxy were officially formed.

A short time later, the group was on another mission, trying to kill an abilisk, Drax came to the conclusion that if the hide was too thick to pierce, then he would kill it from the inside, before promptly jumping into the beast's mouth and slashing at it's stomach. With the monster dead, the Guardians soon returned to the one that issued the quest, Ayesha, and retrieved their payment, Gamora's sister, Nebula.

Thanks to a certain raccoon-looking alien, Ayesha's followers started hunting the guardian due to Rocket stealing some unique and expensive batteries, much to Drax's delight. Unable to outrun the fleet, the team was soon shot down, landing on a remote planet, turning out to the the home of Quill's father, Ego.

Upon impact of the planet, despite the Milano being obliterated in the crash and Drax hitting the ground outside the metal structure, he was able to instantly return to his feet virtually unharmed. Shortly afterwards, the group met Starlord's father and his servant, Mantis. While their "visit" was enjoyable at first, not all was as it seemed. Ego informed them of him being a celestial and soon attempted to use Peter as a catalyst for his expansion. With the help of Yondu and the rest of the Guardians, Drax was able to defeat the planetary being. Upon being blasted out towards the ship, however, Drax was forced to wear a jet-pack, much to his discomfort.

Although the galaxy was saved (again), the story for Drax was far from over. As the group was traveling towards their next big adventure, their ship was struck by a unique lightning bolt, with all power lost and visibility completely gone, the sudden panic was relieved a few seconds later when all system came back online. While everything seemed normal, a blue-skinned warrior was nowhere to be found aboard the ship.




Weaknesses: Mortal: Despite his high durability, Drax can still be killed if he is beheaded
Intelligence: Intellect is not his strong suit and is easily confused by metaphors and other forms of word play. He takes most things literally, which can often land him in trouble or dig the hole even further.
Warrior's Spirit: As a prideful warrior of his people, Drax has been known to attack first, ask later.
Blunt: He is incredibly blunt with his words and does not beat around the bush. Many see him as rash or crude.
His team: Drax's team has become his new family and he worries about them, hoping their alright.
Bare skinned: Drax hates wearing anything on his torso, due to the discomfort it causes him. As a result, it puts him at a higher risk of injury.
