MIRROR MASTER[/div]
Real Name: Evan McCulloch
Alias: Mirror Master
Identity: Public
Age: 35
Species: Human
Physical Appearance:
Out of costume, Evan McCulloch has short brown hair, brown eyes, and a face full of stubble. He is rather fit, having big hair arms poking out of his short sleeved green button up shirt. Followed up is a pair of thick denim blue jeans, often frazzled on the end of the pant legs due to working in them and walking around the city in thick workboots. As Mirror Master, Evan wears a thick orange cloth bodysuit, split up into a shirt and pants. A green metal belt splits the difference, shaped like a loop with a diamond in the center of it, and a holster on either side for his Mirror Guns, which are shaped like pistols with four mirrors spread out around the barrel. His hands are ungloved, but have green metal bracers around the forearms for protection. Similarly he has a neckpiece of the same material stretching down to his shoulders, and a matching helmet to complete the outfit, and add some added defense.
Personality: Evan is very much your typical suburban dad. He likes to drink a beer with the guys, play catch with his son in the backyard, and relax in front of the tv after a long day's work. Unlike the typical dad however, Evan's "Day job" is of being a super villain. While originally a criminal to escape the mundane cog life of a factory worker, it's now fulled mostly out of a desire to provide for and gain the admiration of his young son. Ever since Colin's operation, he's had a great admiration for Bruce Wayne as well. However he considers The Rogues a second family, and will do what he can to protect them (except maybe Trickster) and follow Cold's orders.
Powers: due to constant exposure to the mirror realm, Evan has gained a bit of a link to it. Resulting in a couple of abilities not reliant on his gadgetry:
Dress For Success!: Evan upon entering, or partially entering a reflective surface can cause his suit and gear to appear on him.
Warping Wonders: Upon physical contact with a reflective surface such as polished glass or a puddle of water, Evan can enter it to transport himself into the Mirror World.
Abilities: Aside from he precursor Sam Scudder, Evan is the only one with an extensive knowledge of the Mirror World and how to navigate it. The Mirror World is a combination of every reflective surface in the world, a well as various other worlds and dimensions, filled with a variety of different creatures and locals.
Weapons/Equipment:
mirror guns: Evan's dual guns can fire two types of projectile. A steady laser beam, or laser projectiles that can turn a person into glass upon impact. he person will be alive and mobile, but extremely fragile. However if they are broken, they die. Only Evan's gun can transform them back, or he can set it for a certain time limit.
Mirror Mines: small round mirrors that can have a variety of uses. From creating holograms, to glass duplicates of Evan himself, to bright flashes of light, or mini portals to the mirror dimension when stepped on. They can also be used to view through any reflective surface in the world like a lens.
History: Born Evan Erikson, his parents dropped him off at the McCulloch orphanage and never looked back. Raisd there a majority of his life, at age sixteen he set off on his own, taking the name of the woman who ran the orphanage in remembrance, as she treated him better than his parents ever did. Evan started out as a disgruntled Glass Worker, stuck repeating the same monotonous tasks every day, every hour, every minute. Treated like just another cog in the system, Even grew more and more frustrated with his current lot in life. Tinkering in his garage, McCulloch would start to create all kinds of strange devices, even falling in once and discovering some kind of strange world within the mirrors he was exploiting. Originally planning to pawn off his inventions for patents and stocks, Evan had a change of heart, seeking excitement and a change of pace by taking to a career of crime. It wouldn't be long before he gained a reputation in Central City, especially after he clashed with the scarlet speedster several times, almost getting the upper hand on him in several occasions, and always avoiding his identity being exposed. After awhile he would even be recruited into The Rogues by Captain Cold.
It's not known when, but Evan would settle down and start a family. Having a wife named Maggie, and a son named Colin. Tragedy would strike however, when Colin was left paralyzed and in a wheelchair. Doubling down on his criminal career, Evan became desperate to make enough money to pay for the surgery Colin needed to walk again. Even if it meant risking getting caught. Colin would end up witnessing his father's criminal identity, but kept silent about it. Locked in an internal debate on if his father was the hero he looked up to, or just another criminal trying to hurt others on the streets.
Evan would pull off a series of increasingly more risky ploys to get the funds for his son's operation, culminating in a fake hostage situation to get the money in ransom. Unfortunately the Justice League would intervene and Evan was sent to prison, and his identity exposed to the world. A small glimmer of happiness would shine upon Evan however, as the billionaire Bruce Wayne saw his confession on television and paid for Colin's operation. Once Evan broke out he was determined to become an even better super villain to match his son's heroic admiration towards him, however a strange portal unlike his usual transportation would swallow him up, leaving Evan stranded in some strange alternate dimension, desperate to return to his home and family. Without Colin and Maggie around Evan feels more alone than ever, even the rogues have half their members currently. Without his support system in place Evan has been left prone to emotional outbursts and poor decision making. Heavily reliant on his boss and emotional judgement to carry him through.
Weaknesses:
Alcoholism: While not an Alcoholic Evan has a tendency to drown his sorrows in beer. Meaning he may be caught while not at his sharpest and have to react on dulled senses.
C list: When Evan is in a rut he tends to doubt his own capabilities, feeling as if he's a low ranking cog in the machine like his old job. Usually needing a pep talk from someone on his team or family.
Colin: Evan's son, as a loving parent threats to Colin can drive Evan into an angry attack, and likewise if anyone managed to get their hands on him, Evan would be forced to stand down. While Colin isn't there physically, it is still easy to trigger certain emotional reactions from Evan in relation to him, as he knows it's possible for him to show up, or for this grudge to last once they return home.
Homesick: Evan's biggest worry is getting back home to his family, leading to him being easily manipulated if promised a way to return to his wife and son.
Reflections: without a reflective surface nearby Evan is unable to warp away or enter the Mirror World
Gear: Without his gear Evan is effectively powerless
Normal Human: Despite all his tricks, Evan is in fact a normal human, able to killed by any normal mortal means.
Mirror World: While Evan can enter and exit the mirror world freely, he has no control on anything residing within it. Opening the wrong door could release something just as hostile to him as anyone else.
Other Information: This incarnation of Mirror Master is mostly the Justice League Unlimited incarnation, however some elements of his kit come from his comic book counterpart.
