Timeline: after "The Worst Day" Previous Threads: walkitoff.freeforums.net/thread/1099/worst-day?page=1&scrollTo=4759 Characters Involved: Chesire Imp NPC's Location: Manhatten
Walking down the streets, a woman in a ragged cloak shuffled towards a shifty nightclub, the "Blue Caterpillar" Cute. Thought Jade to herself, shambling past the two bouncers, pricking them both in the sides with her twin sai, hidden beneath the cloak as they slumped against the wall, the toxin coating them leaving the duo numb and dazed, unable to move. Once inside, the stench of various smokes lofted through the air, many patrons stumbling into each other in a daze as they wandered from spot to spot. Being mistaken for yet another homeless maiden, Cheshire slid a shuriken between her fingers, caressing it carefully as if savoring the moment before she flung it at the fire alarm. A blaring noise sounding out while the customers scrambled for the exit, tripping and shoving each other while the staff remained to locate the source. "Seems like quite the hassle for a lady to get some service around here." She declared in a sultry tone, tossing off her cloak and sliding on her mask. Whipping out her twin folding swords she blocked a round of pistol shots and kicked a chair at the gunman's face. However she paused and shifted her eyes behind her without moving. "It's a school night, shouldn't you be tucked into bed kid? I'll have to write a note to your parents" mused Jade in a playful tone as she witnessed the arrival of a new player in the mix. Snapping her attention back towards the goons occupying the club she flung a handful of Shuriken at the ones drawing guns.

While Chesire entered the building, a certain young Neo was hidden away in a nearby alley, psyching himself up to begin his own assault on the club. 'Ok,Imp,it's been...a long time since you've pulled a heist, let alone one on a building full of scumbags and all alone, but you've been preparing and watching for at least a week now. Besides, you've handled worst. And there's no way that they're expecting what you can do.So...Let's do this!' Giving himself a firm nod, Imp walked out of the alley and moved towards the club. 'Ok, there's no way the bouncers will let me in, so I'm going to have to circle around ba-'
However, that thought was canceled as he noticed said door guardians' states. "...Huh." 'Maybe not...Right then.' Stepping past the slumped adults, he headed inside. Nose wrinkling as he's greeted with a awful stench,Imp pulled his bandanna mask up, the big, messily painted grin stretching wide across his now hidden face. Though it didn't completely mask the scent, it at least helped a little. Besides, the earlier his identity was hidden, the better. Carefully skirting around dazed patrons, the lad made his way deeper into the club. However, his steps paused, eyes widening as the fire alarm started ringing and he was greeted with a stampede of panicked clubgoers. 'Aw crud!!' Pressing himself against a wall, he slid past the herd and found himself in the same room as Jade.
Seeing the battle between the green clad antihero and the club's goons begin, the boy's eyes widened again. 'There was someone already taking them on?! Well, that explains why the two meatheads were napping outside.' As the mysterious lady directed a teasing comment at him, he gave her a indignant look, about to make a comment of his own. However, he was distracted by needing to dodge a grab attempt by a thug, and quickly formed a bat of purple and gold flames. Slamming it against the goon's shin and causing him to hop in place and curse, Imp danced back away from a furious swipe from a large hand and bowled him over with a blow to the chest. Turning his attention back to the lady, he fired back. "There's a all night martial arts movie marathon at the theater a few blocks over. Shouldn't you be there, Ms. Ninja Leprechaun? You're gonna get fired for not being on the big screen in time." Turning his attention to a thug a few feet away from him, the kid formed a few orbs of the same stuff as his bat and 'fired' them at him. As the orbs slammed into the thug, he'd grunt, body rocking back before slowly toppling over and giving a pained groan.

"No thanks, done the geisha shtick before already." quipped back the ferocious feline as she slashed a pair of goons while she ran past, soon collapsing from the poisoned blades. "Nice mask, didn't know I had a fan club" Jade teased, referencing the grins on both their disguises as she made note of her impromptu ally's strange abilities. "Neat trick. If I didn't know any better I'd say I was on some of this stuff myself" While she spoke the Jade Clad Assassin slid one of her smoke bomb pellets between her fingers, delivering an uppercut to another guard that set it off.
A cloud of smoke emerged around the area of impact as Cheshire seemingly vanished, but not for too long before she dropped from the ceiling, grabbing a goon midair and throwing him like a table at the doorway the goons were coming from, watching him bowl them over like dominoes. Tauntingly smacking her hands against each other to brush off the dust, she took the opportunity to lock the door they were flooding in from while they were busy lifting their unconscious ally off of them. "Holding up alright kid?" She asked, turning to see how Imp was doing

Imp gave a snort at her teasing response to his own comment. As another thug approached him, lashing out with a vicious haymaker, the young Neo ducked before sharply jamming his bat handle deep into the man's solar plexus. As the poor mook toppled over with a pained gasp, another thug approached him with a table leg held behind his head. Imp quickly swung his bat down at the man's foot, following up with another quick strike to the liver as the gangster instinctively took a step back. That hit connects, and the thug slowly teeters over with a wheeze of pain and choked gurgle. Scoffing as the mysterious ninja woman teased him about his mask, the lad snarked back at her. "You wish, lady."
Blinking as she complimented his abilities and demonstrated a trick of her own, Imp responded."Heh,thanks,Scary Cat Lady. You've got a few neat tricks yourself." As one of the thugs he'd just knocked down attempted to climb back to their feet, the boy knocked them back down with a bonk to the back of the head. Giving a laugh at the woman's mockingly easy success at locking the reinforcements out, Imp nodded as she asked after him, casually laying his bat against his shoulder. "Yep. These guys are pushovers!" However, loud thumping indicates a hurried stride, and as Imp glanced to his side his eyes would rapidly widen. The first thug he'd knocked down had gotten up and was charging at him, a rapidly darkening eye making his angry glare seem even more manic. "I'm gonna make you suffer, you little freak!!" Grimacing beneath his mask, the boy suddenly disappeared, only to reappear beside Cheshire's side as the musclehead charged right through where he'd been standing. "Jeez...You missed, Ugly!!" Glancing up at Chesire in a distinctly sheepish manner, he shrugged. "...Ok, so maybe he's a little tough."

A chuckle of amusement escaped the killer kitty as the younger hero referred to her. "Call me Cheshire. You are?" She asked as her companion bonked a guard on the head. Dropping to the floor in the splits, she watched as two thugs threw punches at each other in an attempt to strike the vile vixen. Jumping up, she caught the edges of her sai on a small chandelier hook and swung through the air, landing upon a poor goon's back, hearing it crunch in what likely amounted to a serious injury.
A sadistic smile formed beneath her mask before turning her attention back towards the recovered goon charging for her impromptu ally. About to lunge for the kid, she was surprised when he appeared beside her instead. "My, aren't you full of surprises. Taking a page out of my own book this time however." She teased, while pulling out a handful of shuriken, launching them at the black eyed brute as they embedded themselves in his right arm. A scream of pain, several streams of dripping blood, and he joined the ranks of the unconscious once more. "Now then, time to finish some business."
calmly making her way across the club, she lightly stabbed each of the unconscious goons with her sai, ensuring the toxin within would keep them snoozing for a good while. A few of the more vicious combatants would be the recipients of Cheshire dragging her Sai across their skin as she casually walked, sure to leave a scar not unlike a pen streak when it healed. Reaching a nearby wall, she cut open a panel to reveal a safe. "Would you like to do the honors or shall I?"

Imp tilted his head a bit to the side upon Chesire introducing herself. "Cheshire, huh?" A mischievous gleam entering his eyes as he looked up at her mask, the young will-be hero responded dryly. "You know, I never would've guessed. Well, I guess it's nice to meet'cha, Chesire. Especially considering...this." He swept his free arm outward, indicating the large amount of guards laid out around them. "And the name's Imp." After 'convincing' the thug that'd tried to get back up to continue his nap, Imp gave a cheeky clap at his accomplice's agile dodge under a couple of punches, giving a quick, light laugh as the two thugs pulled a page straight out of the Three Stooges' playbook and knocked each other out. The humor is sat aside when she delivered a rather nasty jump attack to another mook's back, though. He gave a visible wince, regarding the thug with some concern despite himself. 'Jeez...That really had to hurt. Hopefully he'll still be able to walk.'However, he's soon distracted by needing to dodge a large, angry battering ram. As Chesire commented on his abilities again, Imp shrugged and snorted, teasing her back. "I gotta be, if I want to keep my head on my shoulders. And no way. That's been in my book since I was a little kid. You're just jealous cause I can do it without the fancy smoke." Brows raising as she slung a few beddy-bye laced shurikens at the big guy, Imp gaved a slightly vindicated nod as said goon screamed before falling over. 'That's what you get, trying to tackle me like that. And for calling me a freak, you jerk.' The kid didn't think he'd ever quit hating that word in particular. Though, granted, he wasn't exactly happy about what else people called...people like him. Disturbed from his thoughts as Chesire spoke up, he glanced up at her, a brow rising quizzically. "Oh yeah?" Following her as she strode across the club, he regarded her particularly mean 'nap' reinforcements with a slightly furrowed brow. 'Hmm...Well, they do have it coming. And it's not like she's maiming them, just leaving a mark. So long as she doesn't do stuff like that to innocents, there's no reason to worry about it.' Blinking as the woman revealed a hidden safe, he tilted his head slightly. "Huh." 'Gotta admit, that would have took trouble to find.' Glancing up at her, he gave a thoughtful hum, before nodding. "You oughta. I could get through, probably, but I'm betting you can do it in a way that won't activate any...tricks they might have hidden in there."Cheshire

"Very well." stated Jade as she crept over to the safe, carefully turning the knob as she waited for the telltale clicks. "So what is it that your here to find kid? You one of the teen viigilantes that's been ever so popular lately, or here for a wad of cash?" she asked in bored curiosity, twirling a sai in her hand absentmindedly, not unlike someone fidgeting with the cord of a landline phone. Upon a final click the safe creaked open, revealing several bundles of cash, a few jewels and cash bonds, but Cheshire set her sights upon something else. Gently plucking out a sheet of paper from the back of the safe, she laid it out flat against a nearby table. "Bingo. Both thir trade routes, and the locations of their other warehouses." The point of her sai following along with her gaze, she soon tapped it against the marker for a nearby mansion. "So that's where the big guy's hiding....Time for one cat to catch another by the tail~" Cheshire exclaimed with a sadistic glee. Walking around the perimeter of their battleground, she pulled out the various shuriken she had embedded into the walls, and flesh of their combatants. Wiping them clean with some napkins behind the bar countertop, she returned them to the rest of her stash. "Waste not want not" she chuckled, once again shifting her gaze towards her impish acquaintance. "Feel free to do, or take whatever. I've got places to be, people to stab" As she jumped up onto a nearby window, preparing to make her way onto the rooftops.

As Cheshire went to work on the safe, Imp idly watched, humming a song under his breath. 'This kinda reminds me of...' Giving a pained wince, he cut off that reminiscent thought before it could go any further. 'Never mind that. I don't need to be dredging up those memories.' Thankfully, his green clad accomplice provides a distraction. Glancing at her, he considered what to say for a few minutes before deciding the truth couldn't hurt. "Kinda a mix of both, to be honest. I get to inconvenience these morons, and snag some cash while I'm at it. Most of it I'll...redistribute to folks who need it, and keep some of it to eat off of."He was about to ask what she was here for, but a final click heralded the opening of the safe. Imp's gaze focused on what waited within, and as Cheshire plucked the paper out the lad pulled his sleeves over his hands. Using them as makeshift gloves, he snagged all the cash and stashed it away, ignoring the gems and cash bonds. With that done, Imp walked over to the table Cheshire was standing at. Raising himself up slightly, he peered down at the papeer, only to give the woman a surprised look as she said what information was on it. "Woah, really? Nice!" 'That'll be useful!' His gaze went back to the now very important clue, examining it intently and memorizing what information was on it. As Cheshire made a second, concerningly gleeful comment, he glanced up at her. 'Wait, she's really going after the boss?!'
Watching, with occasional winces as she retrieved her shuriken, Imp considered his next step. He could just call it a night. He had enough cash alone to consider his goal a success, and with the new info he'd gotten it definitely was. Then again, if she was after the boss, then helping her could lead to this particular gang potentially collapsing, or at least suffering a very big Inconvenience. As Cheshire hopped up onto a window, Imp made up his mind. "Hold up a second. You're going after the BBEG, right? If that's the case, mind if I come with?" He held up his hands warningly. "If you're planning on....helping this scumbag take a 'nap', and one much, much longer then these idiots, I'm definitely not ok with that... but still, might be convenient to have another person at your back."Cheshire
