The rain was pouring down like a waterfall as pedestrians rushed home. Some were using umbrellas, others were attempting to keep their heads dry with whatever they found find. Water filled the gutters of the streets and cars were moving as a slower pace. The headlights glared through the drops, helping to illuminate the already bustling nightlife. Each person was mind their own business and finishing up what they needed to get done. Just as a light turned green, a small car was about to pull into the intersection when a black vehicle with a green puzzle design raced through. Its tires were screeching and kicking up water as it made the turn at near impossible speeds. A few seconds later, red and blue flashing lights were seen in pursuit, making a poor attempt at keeping up with the heavily modified racer.
"Haha! These pigs honestly think they can catch me!" The driver laughed to himself as he shifted into another gear. Nearing the entrance to the highway, a few police cruisers managed to block the road. Using the emergency vehicles as cover, the officers had their weapons drawn and pointed at the speeding vehicle. Slamming on the E-brake and turning the wheel, Dean's car turned sideways as he held in the clutch, revving the engine. Nearing an alleyway, he dropped the lever and released the clutch peddle. The tires, squealing and throwing smoke into the air, shot the street racer down the narrow path as a few of the officers fired several shots at the car.
As the cruisers blocked the entryway of the detour, none of the officers followed the gang leader in. Keeping at a steady cruising speed, the walls only inches from either side, Dean looked around. Something wasn't sitting right him. "Yoh, Big Boy, come in. Lost the pigs, but I don't remember this route just off Penn Parkway street." Only static returned. "Big Boy, Greaser..... Hey, Tweak, you there? Anybody...." Once more, only static returned on his walkie.
