Physical Appearance: Jade has long flowing black hair, often draping over her shoulders or tied up in a ponytail, as well as vivid green eyes. Often wears a green kimono with the right sleeve ripped off, a black shirt underneath it, followed up with black leggings and boots. When preparing for a fight, she puts on a Cheshire Cat inspired mask, as well as different pouches and sheathes for her various weapons. She also tends to have green bandage wrappings over her hands when in her combat attire. She also has olive-colored skin due to her Vietnamese heritage, on her mother's side.



Personality: Cheshire has a killer's instinct within her. Enjoying the thrill of the hunt and kill to the point where she will jest and toy with her prey before striking the final blow. When on a mission, she will often follow that mission to the letter, even if her personal interests clash. She also has a very dry and snarky sense of humor, whipping it out no matter how dire or threatening a situation may be. She can also be quite flirtatious, especially towards her husband Red Arrow, whom she loves to tease whenever given the opportunity.

She has a very warped and strained relationship with her family. Especially her father Sportsmaster, and her sister Artemis. In the case of Artemis, Cheshire would toy with her by threatening to reveal their family history to her team, or by defeating her without causing any true harm. Her true feelings about her sister would be shown however when on a mission she saved her sister from an avalanche, stating that no matter how she acted she never truly wanted her sister hurt or dead. When Artemis faked her death in infiltrate the light, Jade was devastated. Stating how she wishes she had treated her better, and had protected her against her father's abuse. She would then dedicate herself to killing her sister's murderer, only stopping when Artemis revealed herself to still be alive, but in disguise.

In the case of Sportsmaster, she wants nothing more than for him to be dead. Hatred is the only emotion she feels whenever he comes to mind. Even when the two were assigned to work together by the light, she stated the only reason she wasn't trying to kill him was because she was a professional. Even leaving him for dead in quicksand on a mission, although he survived the scenario. She is only willing to team up with her father in cases of absolute necessity. Otherwise she would prefer to stab him right in the back.

(After she encounters Roy and Lian in WIO) However, upon arriving in the walk it off reality, she has attempted to restrain that instinct somewhat. Finding her husband and daughter adrift in this hostile reality as well, Jade has decided to refrain from her assassination jobs to help take care of Lian. At least until they are back in their own realities. However this doesn't mean that she will not fight. If a reputable source comes to her with a mission or cry for help, she would be willing to comply in order to set a good example for Lian. On these missions she will prevent herself from killing or crippling her opponents unless absolutely necessary. If you threaten or hurt Lian however, then all that goes straight out the window. She will find you, she will kill you. Nobody touches her daughter and lives to tell the tale.

Abilities: Cheshire is a highly trained assassin, getting a majority of her training from the league of assassins. She is adept at stealth, various forms of martial arts, and gymnastics. She is a skilled tracker, usually through the use of blood trails or infrared vision. She is trained in several different weapon styles, ranging from sai's to swords, to shuriken and crossbows. She tends to stick to more stealthy weaponry unless required otherwise.



Weapons/Equipment: Cheshire is proficient in the use of most weapons, but the ones she tends to carry with her are: Shuriken, Collapsible swords, shuriken, flash bombs, and kunai. She has also been shown to use a crossbow, and a rocket launcher with deadly accuracy. Her mask also has both built in thermal scanners, and an air filtration system.



History:

Jade was born to a broken family. Her mother, Paula Crock, as a villainous incarnation of the Huntress, who was crippled, leaving her in a wheelchair, and took the fall for her husband The Sportsmaster, going away to prison. This left Jade and her younger sister Artemis at the mercy of their emotionally, and physically abusive father. Before the year was over, Jade would run away, having had enough of her father's treatment. Her only regret would be not taking her younger sister with her, to spare her from her father's torment. She offered, but was turned down by the optimistic child. Jade would find her way to the league of assassins, being trained in the art of stealth and death.

Taking on the moniker of Cheshire, Jade became one of the top assassins in the league. Sometimes teamed up with other operatives such as The Hook and Black Spider. She would become an active member of the LIGHT organization, a group of supervillains much like the legion of doom or secret society. Begrudgingly working alongside her father, Sportsmaster. Often facing the young justice team, which included her younger sister, now going by the codename of Artemis. She would participate in several assassination attempts for the light, such as an attempt on Lex Luthor to drive up his public image, and several attempts on a scientist behind a nanite weapon, whom she only spared after the reason for her assassination became void.

Eventually she would start up a relationship with the hero Red Arrow, former sidekick to Green Arrow. Starting with flirtatious banter, to an intimate relationship, to even marriage. However the Roy Harper she married turned out to be a clone of the original, spiraling him into a crazed hunt for the original, paired with depression. Cheshire would leave for over a year in search of clues for Roy Harper's whereabouts, even giving birth to her and Roy's daughter Lian, without his knowledge. Eventually using her darker tactics to locate the frozen original, she returned to her husband, using both the information of the original's location, and of their baby daughter to snap him back into his senses. Teaming up to save the original Roy Harper, the two settled down once more. At least until Artemis was seemingly killed by Aqualad, which drove Cheshire into a similar downward spiral, but this time fueled by rage instead of depression. She would team up with her father to break into Black Manta's ship, attempting to kill Aqualad and Miss Martian before Artemis revealed herself to still be alive, as she then fought off deathstroke to escape, with the help of Artemis in disguise and Miss Martian. Cheshire would go to her mother, who had been babysitting Lian, telling her the good news of Artemis's survival. One night while rocking Lian to sleep, a portal would open up beneath Jade. Being sucked downwards, she reflexively tossed Lian into Roy's arms, reaching out and barely missing his hand as she was sucked into a brand new world.

Weaknesses: Jade tends to play and toy with her targets, which can often give them plenty of opportunities to gain the upper hand on her. She also tends to stick to close range weaponry, so opponents with long range options can put her at a disadvantage, especially if she is out of shuriken or kunai. Her biggest fear is losing Roy, Lian, or Artemis. Taking whatever steps she believes is necessary to protect them, even if it means killing someone. If she does lose someone close to her, she tends to lash out on a single minded path for revenge until she accomplishes her goal.
