Physical Appearance: Green hair that flows down to shoulder length in a messy sprawl, shaped in a way that it covers her right eye. She has light purple eyes and wears a purple hoodie with ripped sleeves, a black and white striped shirt underneath, black gloves with long green nails attached which she uses for combat (think black panther's claws but can also be coated in poisons and such. also she NEVER takes these gloves off.), black jeans with straps for holding vials, and black combat boots. But when out of combat she takes off the claws of her gloves and puts them into a hidden pocket sewn into her outfits. She also disguises her identity when out fighting with a specially made gas mask.
Personality: Azalea is someone who wants to be there for others, but is held back by the cards life has dealt her. No matter how much she gets to know someone, she will always have paranoid doubts about them in the back of her mind. This doesn't stop her from being treating others well however. She will be friendly and calm towards others....just don't be surprised when you offer her a drink and she tests it for poison before drinking it. However those she is close to (despite not fully trusting anyone) she will be willing to harm herself to protect.
She has an intense desire to be open and free after having been isolated most of her childhood, which was also her primary motive for joining Fenrir as a child. She does want to be able to trust and feel safe around those she grows close to, but no matter how much she cares about someone, she will always be thinking in the back of her head how it could be fake, and her reflexes on edge for the slightest sign of an attack of trick. She doesn't let this dictate her attitude however. She will be calm, friendly, maybe even snarky as if she was having a normal conversation, but internally she's skeptical and analytical of every word and action.
However, if she does grow close to someone, and doesn't see them as high risk to betray her, she will fight to her last breath in order to keep them from harm. Unless they give her a reason to doubt their intentions or innocence of course. She feels as if she's already lost multiple families over her life (mother, Fenrir, Students in the killing game), and thus is protective over the loved ones she does have. This has also led her to being hesitant to kill, unless there is no other option. After all, she wouldn't want to inflict the despair she currently feels upon anyone else.
She also has lingering psychiatric problems stemming from the multiple tragedies that have occurred in her past. the as stated above trust issues are from her mother's murder attempt, but she also panics if placed in a small room without a way to freely get in and out from her childhood isolation, always wears her gloves in an attempt to nullify any worry she would have about skin contact poisons, Won't eat any food she hasn't prepared herself, or will test it for poison first, and when she tries to sleep she often can't escape the memories of the assault on Fenrir, so she often injects herself with a sleeping aid to fall asleep at night, but not before securing the room she is in.
Powers: Is immune to bacteria, poisons, and acids, but remains unaware of this fact.
Abilities: Azalea is an expert on all kinds of poisons and their antidotes, able to create any of them regarding she has the correct ingredients. She also has military combat and stealth training from being raised in a mercenary group. She has developed her own fighting style that emphasizes kicks and clawing to make use of her weaponized gloves and poisons. (think Black Panther's fighting in Civil war).
Weapons/Equipment: Azalea mainly uses a pair of specially designed gloves with detachable claws. Said claws can be dipped in, or store inside of them, various liquids, usually toxins. She also keeps a variety of poisons and cures on her person via holsters and pouches on her pants.
History:
Born the bastard child of a rich heiress, Azalea Salvatora was a name known only to those who birthed her. Fearful of losing access to her families wealth, her mother kept her a secret from the world. Hulled up in a single room, Azalea grew up alone. The only person in her life being her mother. Despite being lavished with gifts and pamperment by her mother, she grew restless and began to sneak out of her room at night, exploring the rest of the vast mansion whenever her mother was fast asleep. Usually content with enjoying the openness of the halls, and the new sights of the antiques, it wouldn't be long until she a room with a large glass window.
Staring in awe at the world outside...the world she had never known....She would begin to wander out whenever her mother was distracted to gaze out the windows. One day, her mother's parents would show up for a visit.....Despite being warned to stay out of sight, Azalea couldn't resist from sneaking out. Wandering her way to the greenhouse, she marveled at the glass walls and ceiling. A full view of the world she was forbidden to enter. However while she was entranced, she was spotted by her grandparents.
Her mother unable to hide the truth, her grandparents were outraged. Fearing for their name and image, her mother would be given an ultimatum. It was the child, or the money. That night Azalea would sneak out of her room again, but passed by the kitchen on her way. She saw what seemed to be her mom preparing a drink for her....However adding something to the mixture...Returning back to her room, her mother soon came in with the drink. Nervously refusing the drink, her mother grew more and more insistent....Before straight up holding her down and trying to force it into her mouth. In a panic, Azalea would kick the cup, the drink splashing right into her mother's face.
Watching her mother choke and collapse to the floor, Azalea tried to shake her awake......to no response. Panicking once more, Azalea fled the mansion, tears staining her cheeks as she was grabbed by the newly hired maid for the mansion. Calming down the panicking child she saw a spark of potential inside of her. For this maid was not truly a maid...but in reality a member of the Fenrir organization that had originally been sent to either assassinate the mother or hold Azalea herself captive, whichever she found more opportune. However she would decide upon a third option instead: Recruitment.
Taken in by the agent, Azalea would be treated to the harsh regiment almost immediately. One thought would be the shining light that pushed her to suffer through whatever it took: To explore as much of the world around her as she could, the world that she had been sealed from her entire life. Years passed, and Azalea not only learned the basics of mercenary training, but also found herself immersed in the world of poisons and antidotes. It all started with the paranoia that another incident similar to that of her mother would occur, thus she made sure to study all that she could to prevent it. However, the fearful would become the familiar, and Azalea grew a love for the art of toxins and treatments. Experimenting with various serums and mixtures and testing said results. From sedatives to outright lethal toxins, she had a concoction for any scenario. Not just poisons, but also cures. For as much as she enjoyed seeing what symptoms she could create, it mattered more to her that she be able to refute said condition.
These talents didn't go unappreciated by Fenrir, who would often have her create untraceable poisons for assassinations, or cure a teammate who had suffered a chemical based attack or exposed to a serum. She would never directly involve herself in missions, but instead offered tools so to speak for them to use with her creations. She knew full well that the organization was up to illegal and terrible acts (though perhaps not the scope of things) but brushed it aside for as ruthless and crazy as it was, Fenrir had become a bit of a family to her, especially the agent that had recruited her as a child.
That is, until a fateful day. During the tragedy, an organized strike from the remnants of despair (the followers of the psycho from the games) eliminated the rest of Fenrir, only Azalea being left to escape in despair. Shaken and horrified this would be the last thing she remembered before finding herself in a killing game......A psycho controlling a robot mascot to hide their identity told the 16 students that if they wanted to escape the sealed up building they were in, they would have to kill a fellow prisoner and get away with it in a mock trial by the people there.
Azalea however, would not kill within the game. Despite being the only one there who had the training, she didn't stoop herself to her abductor's level...even as her friends dwindled...one...by one....Eventually the surviving group of students would reveal the identity of the psycho as one of them, allowing the killer to fall victim of their own madness as they made their escape. Laying low for now, it won't be soon before the presence of the emerging neo's and vagrants will spark her into action....Taking the name of her fallen family. Fenrir.
Weaknesses: Azalea is a victim of paranoia, meaning she often is very guarded and defensive in both tactics and fighting style. Her defense heavy fighting style could lead to her being overpowered by a heavy assault. It also means that she is more willing to alter plans when working with others and do her own thing if she feels it could be a trick. She is also vulnerable when she sleeps, as it is often a heavy sedative induced slumber. Now she normally makes sure she is in a secure location before falling asleep, but it also means that she may be hard to awake if someone does get through her defenses. She is also prone to panic attacks if she is trapped in an enclosed space, such as locked in a cell.
Other Information:
Has a guilty pleasure of going to Maid Cafes, as they remind her of the agent that took her in.
Suffers from PTSD coming from her past, which manifest in the following ways: Refusing to touch anyone skin to skin (such as touching their hand ungloved) unless she trusts them extremely well (out of a paranoid fear of skin transmitted poisons), a tendency to use sedatives to help her fall asleep and avoid looming thoughts of her trauma. A refusal to eat any food or drink that she has not prepared herself (with the exception of the maid cafe's where she feels at ease), and claustrophobia.
Azalea is the daughter of Hazmat (from an ex he had before he met his wife) but neither of them are aware of this fact yet.
She has a pet scorpion named Reginald that is the size of your hand and has a deadly sting. Scorpions often escape their tanks and he is no exception, so she often keeps him on a specially made leash to keep him out of trouble
