Timeline: After: Exposed Previous Threads: All an Illusion Characters Involved: Zach Sainmore Location: In the mountains Shes Fallen to far the girl that time forgot “ Nightmares, was she living one? It felt like it, every night she relived the terrors from her past that was flooding towards her every time she closed her eyes. During the day she lived it, she believed the only way to live was to get revenge on those who had hurt her. So she was on a constant hunting trip. Never letting up to see the last of the humanity in her, never stopping to really see that she could make her own choices. Yet death was all she knew, it's all she did for her whole life. She lived and breathed death, and now she was as lost as the past was. Time had forgotten all about her and she was so flustered with all of it. It had been a week since she had been at the diner and was tracking a team from her old group. She assumed they were out looking for her, or their next target. Sad for them, they had trained her since she was little to hunt and watch and strike. So when she did land in the center of them she watched them. All of them had fear in their eyes, they knew she was on the loss but they didn't know exactly what had happened to her. Before any of them could speak to headquarters she pulled each metal mic from their ears and crushed them. She then pulled blades from her wrist and a bloodbath began. Each member of the team had been torn to shreds. They were not recognizable to the naked eye, only bone professionals would be able to figure out who they belonged too. When she was done the girl ran from the scene leaving only a blood trail of her own blood, as she did take bullet wounds from non-metal bullets. After a while the girl found herself in the middle of no where and she fell to her knees, it had been over a month since she had actually eaten or had any type of self-care. It had all gotten forgotten in her mind since no one was telling her when to do it. Nor did she really know how to communicate with others that she was having these issues. So the well-built soldier was now at her weakest. This was the third group of Neo Hunters from the government that she had bulldozed her way through. As she fell into the pile of all of their blood she watched as the world started to fade away. Yet no matter how much she killed, no matter how much she drained the life of those who hurt her and others like her she could never escape the hell of her nightmares. ” [/div]

Sitting up to wipe the sweat from his brow, Zach gave a sigh from the hard work. In front of him sat an old canvas tent that was finally set up and ready for the night to come. City life was never his thing, even being in close proximity to one rubbed him the wrong way, yet, staying at his late uncle's small farm, despite it being a few miles from any metropolis, was still a bit too close for comfort for him. So, with a local farmer agreeing to watch over the estate for a short time, the farm boy took his chance to go on a much needed camping trip. With the tent finally up, the fire pit made, and the truck and trailer stationed just off to the side, he figured now it was time for the next part. Placing the saddle upon his Clydesdale and hopping into the seat, Zach gave his horse a rub on the neck before trotting off down the trail. Just off to the side, his faithful companion and every loyal dog, Syber was wagging his tail and panting from the enjoyment of the fresh air. Taking in a deep breath before exhaling, the cowboy smiled at the clean, uncorrupted, mountain breeze. Despite it only being the first day, he could already feel the stress melting away like a slice of butter on a griddle. A short while in to the horse ride, his dog's tail stopped wagging, his face went low and started tracking a scent. Something was off. While Syber would bark at squirrels and chase rabbits for a bit, when it came to tracking, it's usually followed by an encounter with a wolf or a freshly killed carcass. Hopping off Brass Handles, the boy drew his .357 and followed his pet into the bushes. There was a small trail of something red and sticky. While it wasn't wet, it was still fresh. Blood. Half expecting to find a deer torn apart, his jaw dropped, when, in the clearing, a girl appeared. Couldn't be much older than himself, and she was covered in the bodily fluid. Putting the revolver in his holster, Zach ran over to her and checked her for a pulse. There was a beat, but it wasn't strong. She was breathing, that's a good sign. But to keep her like that, he would have to act. Without there being a cellphone signal, and the nearest hospital was almost half a day's drive, his options were limited. Whistling for his horse, a large brown mass broke through the bushes as the horse approached its owner. With a heave, the cowboy placed the body on the back of his animal and rushed back to the campsite. Placing her in the tent, he grabbed a bucket of water, a rag and a change of his clothes. " Ah apologize for this ma'am, but Ah have to see just how bad it is," he mumbled before removing the blood soaked clothes. Wiping her down, he bandaged up all wounds he could before placing her in his bed. " Syber, stay, speak when she wakes up," he said. And, like clockwork, Syber laid down next to the girl as his master went out to start a campfire. Talos

Shes Fallen to far the girl that time forgot “ Talos could feel her body being moved but she was too weak to fight back, instead, she let it happen. Worse came to worse she would kill everyone who was taking her. As Zach would remove the close from the girl's body, he would notice just how scared she was. Some were days old, while others were over 100 years old. There were also places where he would be able to feel metal plates and she did have quite a lot of firm muscles, which he would know exactly how those would feel. However, the body of the young woman could tell him many stories just by looking at the bare skin. After a while of being asleep Talos started to move. It wasn't a simple movement that one would make in their sleep. It was a scared movement, one that would end in Zach's Sleeping bag getting sliced down the center as the young woman jolted upwards and her fist and a small blade cutting free. Talos had a night terror and she woke herself up, the area was different and she was indeed freaked out. She looked around and her eyes fell onto the dog next to her who was startled. Blood dripped on to the sleeping bag as a newly cut wound could be seen from her wrist. Talos moved as far as she could from the dog and held out the blade towards the dog. She had never been this close to one and well she wasn't quite sure if it was a good thing or a bad one, so survival kicked in and she just ended up trying to get away from it. This did lead to her being backed up against the tent. "Go away! Shoo." The girl called out in hopes to spook the dog away. ” [/div]

When the girl rustled in the sleeping bag and her eyes slowly opened, the canine did just as his master asked, he barked. At first, it was a happy bark, but then, as soon as she started to destroy the bag and created new wounds it turned to a defensive bark. Easily telling the difference, Zach sprang from his seat next to the fire pit and rushed to the shelter. Throwing open the flap, the first thing he noticed was the torn bedding covered in blood. Then his dog hunched slightly, bearing its teeth with his tail down. Finally, he noticed the girl, scared and covered in blood on her hands with protrusions coming out. Those certainly weren't there before as they were obvious to see. Then it clicked. The metal inside her and now the claws in her hands. She wasn't just a normal person that was injured. This girl, she was a neo. " Hey, hey, woah woah woah, calm down, ma'am. We don't mean you any harm. Syber, here, he was just keepin' an eye out for you. Ah need you to calm down so I can bandage up your injuries. Look, ah mean you no harm, ok?" As if to show his sincerity, he drew his revolver, showed it to her and gently set it off to the side. Kneeling down next to her, the boy gingerly grabbed her hands to assess the damage. The injuries were deep but seeming how they were caused by her own body, he doubted they would pose any significant disabilities. Grabbing a roll of gauze, the country boy cleaned up her hands before bandaging her new wounds. " Ah apologize for havin' to undress you, ma'am, I just had to see how severe your injuries were. Judgin' by your scars, seems you've been fightin' all your life. Your clothes were nothin' but rags, so ah have a pair of my own that you can wear. They might be a little big for you. Come out for supper once you're ready, alright?" After cleaning up the tent a bit, he stepped out to give the girl some privacy. Syber followed closely behind his owner. The stew was at a nice boil in the dutch oven as the smoke and fire helped add to the flavor of it. Giving the pot a stir, Zach wanted to make sure everything was well cooked before placing the pot on the improvised table. " Hope you like it, ma'am, everythin' in here was home grown at my farm." After serving her a bowl without even asking if she was hungry, the boy gave her a smile. " The name's Zach. What's yours?" Talos

She's Fallen too far the girl that time forgot “ As the tent flap came open she pointed the weapon at the boy but as soon as he sat down his weapon and spoke calmly she herself started to react more calmy. Before Zach touched her the metal seemed to liquefy and run itself back into the open wound disappearing back into its place. She watched as he touched and heald her. Why was she allowing him to do that? Why didn't she move away from him? No one touched her when she wasn't on the operation table. Perhaps it was the way he spoke that kept her calm and not moving. She looked at him with her deep green eyes. "That's why I barely wear any." She spoke softly as he spoke of clothes. She watched as he left and she dressed in the clothes he had set out for her. They were indeed a bit too big for her and she looked like she could swim in them. She then walked out and the sent of the food hit her nose and she realized just how hungry she had been. Her stomach made a noise and she looked at it for a split second before looking at the boy as he spoke about the food is fresh. She took a seat and watched him, as he was kind to her. She looked at the bowl of soup and she picked up the spoon. She scooped up some soup and placed it in her mouth. It was indeed very good, way better than any of the food she had back at the base. "Your soup is very good." her voice a bit more open. He then told her his name and she bit her lip a bit. She wasn't sure what she should tell him. She didn't know who she really was anymore. Was she the Agent they trained her to be, was she Talos. Or was she Jessica, the innocent child who was taken from her home to become a living weapon. "Jessica." She would mumble out. While she didn't like the sound of the name, nor did she enjoy it being said, she knew it would be way better on the ears then 'Agent Talos.' So she went with her birth name, a name she was given only a short time ago, well reminded of. ” [/div]

" Jessica, huh? That's a nice name." As if it were simple talk, he left it at that, despite his mind filled with questions. Watching her practically inhale the food, he gave a smirk. It was a good thing he usually planned on making extra food, whether it be for leftovers or, in this case, an extra mouth to feed. The second her bowl was emptied he grabbed it from her and filled it up once more. It wouldn't matter how much she ate or how many times he would refill her bowl. If the pot ran dry, he could always make more food. Not to mention that there was a stream nearby, so water and meat was plentiful. Looking up at the sky, it was turning a soft orange as the sun was beginning to dip behind the mountains. The crickets started chirping and the birds began their farewell songs. Even the wind was giving a gentle wave to welcome the night. Standing up, the boy walked to his tent and grabbed his jacket. Taking a quick glance back, Syber, despite having been so riled up by her before, was laying down next to Jessica as calm as could be. Even Brass Handles didn't seem to mind the girl as he stayed in his trailer, chewing his hay. The occasional flick from his tail being a sign that the only thing bothering him was the bugs. Returning to the campfire, Zach draped his coat over the girl. " Ah apologize, Jessica, but ah need to know. Just what were you doin' out here? Ah'd like to help you out, but ah need to know the reason." Then, almost as if his answer was being given by nature, the crickets stopped and the birds went silent. Syber lifted his head a bit and let out a snarl. Something was out there, but due to the lack of noise, he wasn't certain. Regardless, with his animals acting up, it couldn't be good. " Jessica, get to the truck." He stated, keeping his eyes fixated at the source of his dog's distress. Reaching behind, he went to grab his pistol, only to realize it was still in the tent. Not a smart move on his part, but that meant little right now. Taking a few steps closer to the saddle, his .308 rifle was holsterd in it still. Wasn't the best weapon for close range, but all he needed was a shot. The silence of the mountains crept into him. It seemed as though even the river hushed and the wind waited with baited breath. Time came to a stand still.... then something fast, something hard grazed his cheek before striking the trailer. It rang with a solid thud as it shattered from the impact. Time was up, he had to act. Lunging for his rifle, he quickly cocked it and fired in the direction, only for more shots to be returned in his direction. Talos

Everything was going well and Jessica was somewhat pleased with the turnout. But just as the animals started to get that feeling she as well had gotten it and she stopped eating, she went still as her mind moved through the forest. THERE, it was there, metal, more than should have been in one area. NO, not now, not while she was still trying to work on her last attack. NOT while this civilian was with her. He was in danger and she had to act fast. NO, she was too late, they were here, and they were firing the weapons.
With a quick movement as Zach moved she moved in front of him as the bullets came at him. With a simple flick of her wrist, the metal bullets were no longer a threat. She looked back at Zach with her eyes cold and dead. "Go. I will deal with them." It was clear in her eyes that dealing with them meant death, and the blood she was soaked in when he met her was now clear as to why she was drenched.
"Agent Talos. Come quietly." The voice rang through the forest loud and clear and Jessica gritted her teeth. She was starting to regret that name too. It wasn't until the next round went off that Talos tried moving only to be hit with rubber bullets. She looked down at the now bullet hole in her chest and was in shock. She hated how they had weapons to use against her, it meant she couldn't protect the boy who was kind to her. It ment he was going to die and she was going to return to hell where she came from.

The girl not only jumped in front of him but she deflected the bullets as well? It was true, she was a neo. Then, something caught him off guard. The look she gave him. It wasn't one of a robot, nor was it one of vengeance. He's seen that look before. It was from his dad after the incident. Sorrow and guilt. That only meant one thing to Zach. Loading another round into the chamber, the country boy pulled the trigger. Almost instantaneously, he heard the cry of its victim. While the shot wasn't fatal, it did cause a lot of damage. Running to the tent as the bullets continued to fly, he dove inside to retrieve his revolver. Just as he pulled the hammer back, he watched the girl go down. She was struck? But the woman deflected the shots only a few seconds ago. Was it a fluke? No, something must've happened. Pulling the trigger on the handgun, the bullet hit its target. Almost like an actor from a western film, Zach held down the trigger as he swept his hand across the top of the gun over and over, each time, another shot rang out. The instant it was empty, he opened the cylinder and allowed the shells to clink against the ground. Before the last one even touched the dirt, he already had six fresh bullets loaded and ready to fire. A shot struck his shoulder, causing it to scream in pain. His limb wasn't going cold, merely just ached a lot. The rubber bullet was definitely going to cause some bruising, but, thanks to his thick shirt and muscles, there was no serious injury. However, if something wasn't done about these gunman and soon, who knows how much longer he'll last. As much as he didn't want to, the boy's hand was basically forced. Twisting his wrist in a quick circle, a small orb formed in his palm before he threw the baseball sized object into the trees. A bright flash burst from the landing spot as its victims cried out in pain. They were blinded, but only temporarily. Enough for the farm boy to sprint in and deliver a few blows. Tying the men up, Zach ensured they weren't going to go anywhere anytime soon. Giving them a quick once over, he did his best to remove anything that looked like a communications device. However, most of this tech was beyond things he's ever seen before. Walking over to the girl, he gave a small sigh. "Ah apologize, Jessica, but I need to take a look, see how bad the damage is." Without allowing her a chance to reply, Zach unbuttoned her shirt and took a look at the wound. It was definitely bleeding, but appeared that the bullet was near the surface. " This might hurt a lil." Pulling out his pocket knife and flicking the blade open, the rancher pushed the tip into her chest before using it to wedge the object out of her. Pulling out a small spray can, it let out a small hiss as the disinfectant cleaned the injury before he placed gauze over it. " Now, Jessica, why did he refer to you as 'Agent Talos'? Look, ah don't care about someone's past, it's what they do in the present that defines them. But, if you want me to help you, ah need to know what's goin' on." Talos

As he took out the bullet she didn't flinch, she didn't show any emotion. They had caught up with her and they wanted to take her away, they wanted to put strings back on her and make her their puppet once more. No she couldn't let that happen she had to kill them, she had to make sure they wouldn't get word back to headquarters, fear flicked across her eyes as the man's voice said her name, the one she had been called by since she was small. He wanted to know about her, about why they were after him. Could she really tell him? Would he be safe if she did? All these thoughts really did make her head hurt. She took a deep breath, he was already here and they were here, so she might as well tell him. "I am Sleeper Agent Seven. Or Talos. I worked for the government since I was a child. I fought in world war two, killed a lot of bad guys. Then once the war was won they put me to sleep. I waited in Cyro sleep for many years before they reawoke me. However this time they abused me more than when I was created. I was called to kill, I killed innocent people for them, I killed guilty people. Then I slattered two whole teams when I was made aware of my actions. I ran away but they found me again, so I killed them too. After that, I woke up here. Now I have to kill them again and run again. It will forever be a cycle of death." as she spoke those last words it was clear that it wasn't what she really wanted. "I'm sorry I involved you in this. It was never my intentions for any other innocent people to get hurt." With that, she started walking towards the men who were tied up now. A knife coming from one of the bandaged wrists. This girl, despite how young she looked, she claimed to be that old? Zach has heard all kinds of stories, heck, he was an ordinary teen until a few years ago.... regardless of whether it was completely true or not didn't matter at this point. She was covered in blood when he first met her, but the agents were the first ones to attack him without regard to others around. Just like he told her, the boy didn't care about her past. It was the present that defined them. As she started to walk towards the agents, the boy grabbed her by the back of her shirt and yanked her back with a bit of force. Storming up to them, he raised the buttstock of his rifle before bringing it down on the men. The sounds of a crush were all that were audible before their bodies went limp. Walking back to the girl, Zach grabbed her by the arm and pulled her towards the truck, " Ah apologize, Jessica, but ah can't let you kill or harm anyone. They're just unconscious for now, but it'll give us enough time to get out of here." Opening up the door to the old vehicle, before putting the rifle back in its rack, he allowed the girl to get in. Rounding up his horse into the trailer and calling his dog to climb into the vehicle, the rancher started the engine. Giving a quick glance at the campsite, most of his gear was still out there, but a lot of it was destroyed in the scuffle. " Jessica.... when we get somewhere safe, ah want you to tell me everythin', got it?" His voice was firm, almost like a father is to their child. Syber, however, gave the girl several sniffs before licking her face with his tail wagging. Talos

She's Fallen too far the girl that time forgot “ Before the dark-haired girl could end the life of the men chasing her she was pulled back with enough force to pull her off balance. Granted she was in a weakened state and her energy levels were low. So she was pretty easy to toss around at this point. When he knocked them out she cocked her head. Part of her was angry, that was the part of her that wanted them all to suffer, that was the part of her that wanted to seek revenge but it was only the monster part. The other part was confusing, why did he save them? Why not let the problem die here and now and not later? Yet she understood that this man had saved her thus she would do as he said for now. He then snatched her arm and lead her to the truck she just let him pull her along as she watched him in confusion. When she was in the car and they were leaving the scene she looked at the dog when she was given kisses. She had never been too familiar with animals but this one didn't seem to mind her and that was nice. Lightly and mimicking what she had seen on TV she pet the dogs head and smiled. The fur was so soft, so comforting and there was no metal to be found in the little being. It was quite adorable that she let out a genuine smile. He spoke about safety, a place she believed would never exist for her. Not only because of who she was but because of what she is to those who want to use her. Could this safe place really be safe? Could it be a place she could actually breathe in without fear of death knocking at her door? She dug her hands lightly into the fur of the dog, she was scared, for the first time in her life she was scared. ” [/div]

Driving down the road, he didn't speak a word as his eyes watched the roads and sides. The radio was turned off to help him focus. Apart from the rumble of the trailer hitting a few bumps, the only noise was the gravel under the tires. It was quiet, almost to the point it was making the boy paranoid. But he had to remain strong. Not only for his sake, but for the one next to him. She followed him with little resistance, if he were to freak out now, it could cause problems. Taking in a deep breath before slowly pushing it back through his nose, the sigh helped Zach calm down a bit. Syber, as far as it seemed, was content on sitting next to his new best friend. The occasional whimper escaped the dog's mouth, primarily out of nervousness rather than fear or pain. Finally out of the woods and off the mountain, the rancher began to relax ever so slightly. Still, he didn't speak, trying to process everything that went down. Coming to a small town, the boy pulled onto main street and cruised down, as if knowing exactly where he was going. Approaching a small diner, it almost looked like it was built back in the early 1970's. The aged brick and mortar had a few chips and cracks. The glass, while shiny and clear, still had a slightly rustic look to it. Inside, the floor was a checkerboard of black and white while the seats were a flashy red and had bright chrome poles and sidebars. The tables were a pale sea-foam green. Sizzling crackled as fresh burgers were put on the grill and a middle aged woman was washing down part of the bar-top. "Howdy, Grenda," the cowboy said, tipping his hat slightly at the woman. In return, she gave a smile and a small wave at the man. "Heya Zach. Gotcha a girlfriend I see?" With a chuckle, he responded, " Nah, just my.... uh... cousin.... she came down to visit for a bit. Figured Ah show her the sights." Taking a seat in the booth near the back, he pulled out a menu before opening it up. Despite pets usually not being allowed in the diner, Syber was an exception, and a local favorite of the owner. Laying down next to Zach, the canine crossed his paws and rested his head upon them. " We'll be safe here for now," He said in a low voice. " Let's talk and eat, help you get some of your strength back. Now, mind telling me just what's goin' on?" Talos

She's Fallen too far the girl that time forgot “ Jessica followed him into the diner and when he introduced her to the woman as a cousin. She had no idea what that was and she really didn't care. Her eyes never met the woman's as she was a bit nervous to do so. She took a seat across from him and bit her lip. Safe? was it really safe? she did feel the metal around the building and that made her feel a bit safe. If she needed too she could bring the whole place down to protect herself and this man across from her. "I will tell you everything I remember." She took a deep breath and began her story. She started with how she was born on a farm with happy parents and then how one day it was ruined and she got to see her parents die in front of her. Then how she was taken to a special place with other kids. She explained how she made friends and then having to kill them all or she would be killed. It was during this part that the waitress walked up and asked what they wanted to eat and Jessica blinked a few times. "Um," She really wasn't sure what to order. "I hear Ice Tea is good. and then I will have what ever he is having." She motioned to the man across from her. Once that was taken care of she began telling him about world war two and how she killed a bunch of Nazi and how when she came back they put her into a slumber. From here they had brought their meal to the table and she poked at it and took a bite. Then in between bites she told him about being woke up in this time and how they used her to fight innocent people and take them to get studied on. She told him about how she was forced to do all these horrible things. She told him about the fight with Raz and Deadpool then about how she was freed from the government from a guy with mind powers and how she ran away and people kept coming up after her and how she killed them because she wasn't sure how to deal with it other thank killing them. ” [/div]

Listening to her story, Zach held on to every word. It sounded far fetched. Too far out there to be made up, in fact. He was often pretty good at judging whether someone was attempting to weasel their way out, yet, he didn't sense any of that around this girl. She truly has faced some major hardships. As her past was continuing to unfold, the teen cut into his medium-rare steak. Taking a portion of it, the cowboy tossed it on the ground, to which, his dog happily ate. Spending a few moments to think things over he chewed the meat, not looking at the woman. How long has she been running? And how long until they gave up? That's when one of the craziest ideas he's ever had came to him. Wolfing down the last of his meal, Zach quickly stood up, placed a few dollars on the table as a tip before putting a small roll of bills at the front counter. " Keep the change, Grenda, something came up!" Opening the door to his pickup, the rancher let out a small whistle, as Syber joyfully hopped inside and took his place in the middle of the bench seat. The dog didn't care where they were going, he was just happy to be riding with his owner and new best friend. Zach, on the other hand, had a bit more of a serious look on his face. " Ah know how to get them off your back, but you'll have to trust me." Turning the key to the engine, it chugged and cranked a bit before rumbling to life. Without any hesitation, he threw it in reverse and back out before driving forward, the horse trailer in tow. After a few minutes, he decided to reveal his plan. " They're out huntin' for Talos, right? Well, Ah reckon, if they get Talos, then they'll stop searchin'.... for a while at least.... As of this moment, you're no longer Talos. You're Jessica.... We're gonna get rid of Talos and get them off your back..." Driving a few miles outside of town, the powerful stench of a pig farm wafted through the air. With a smile on his face, Zach approached the owner of the pigs and tipped his hat. " Howdy partner... Ah'd like to buy two pigs, both about two hundred pounds." Having purchased the swine, Zach had them loaded up into the trailer with ease and before too long, they were on their way back to the forest edge. " We're gonna need to wait until evenin' when the wolves start to howl. We'll kill the pigs and, with a bit of fancy work and help from mother nature, Talos will be "dead"" Talos
