Hush
History
The former friend and childhood companion of Bruce Wayne, Thomas Elliot spent many years living his own life with little regard for the past, becoming one of his world's pre-eminent surgeons and doctors. Studied and educated both in and outside this field he has a keen mind, one of the few sharp enough to match the Dark Knight himself.
After rising to prominence inside his field he encountered a cancer survivor with a miraculous cure who sought to sell him his secret of renewal, but instead reveals a truth to him of his childhood friend, and sets him on the path to becoming the villain known as Hush.
A tentative alliance was formed between the survivor, one Edward Nashton, and Thomas Elliot, as they laid and intricately tailored plan to bring destruction down upon the focus of their resentment.
Unfortunately this all fell apart, the two men’s egos becoming a clashing point, and the plan ultimately being thwarted by the briefly rehabilitated Harvey Dent.
Going to ground in the aftermath of these events, the man known as Thomas Elliot all but died, replaced and consumed by what had become Hush. The chess game that had been played had been lost, and with it he had made himself many enemies.
Living alone and off the grid for many months before resurfacing, the finely tailored human suit he clad himself slowly decayed away, leaving behind a sociopath. (not a psychopath)
Cold, Calculated and almost instinctively Cruel, though not without a small semblance of a conscience, he made himself known to the world once more, this time starting a war with the Joker so that he could inflict his vengeance upon The Riddler who cowered behind the clown.
After driving the Joker and his gang from Gotham City and beating the Riddler into a coma, his attentions once more turned to the destruction of Gotham’s dark defender.
Enlisting the help of a new man to take the identity of Clayface, a scheme was put in place that framed Alfred for murder, and if not for some legal deception and trickery, it would have succeeded.
Shortly after these events, the Joker returned to Gotham and began his ‘disagreement’ with Hush anew, ultimately leading to an altercation which would see them both fall to their apparent deaths.
When Hush vanished without a trace from his former world, Thomas Elliot landed in a new one.
The universe being a fickle creature by nature, Thomas Elliot found himself in new earth as a doppelganger, and upon usurping his namesake set about forging a small empire to call his own under the guise of Trent Simons. Becoming a respected businessman and known figure in his nearby area, and setting in motion a series of gentrification and renovation projects, mostly to facilitate the construction of his Nightclub and HQ, L’Oublette.
Currently operating as an Information Broker and welcoming to all, while his apathy grows daily driving him to find more and more ‘creative’ ways to fill in the hours, lest his mind begin pulling at the skein of his human suit once more...
Friends
Currently he has little in the way of Friends or Associates, but has offered the olive branch and extended a hand of friendship to numerous individuals.
Enemies
He is content to let the world burn around him and as such, has created no enemies in this world to date, Though some may enter it carrying their own grudges.
Interested In Doing....
Controlling his fiefdom, protecting it from those would interfere or cause upset. Expanding his network and dominion over the medium of secrets.
Other
Thomas Elliot is a sociopath, the gossamer veil of humanity that he wears is only effective because it is so practiced. As a doctor his detachment was envied and encouraged, As a person it has been condemned, by himself more than others.
His anger works very much like an on/off switch, and it’s release is titrated in short, intense, moments of utter choler.
He has a sense of humor, but like most doctors, it's rather dark.
He longs for a connection, but is so devoid of empathy that it makes it almost impossible.
His conscience has somewhat atrophied over the years, but it still exists in some small measure.
