Timeline: After Shadows and Lightbulbs Previous Threads: Humanity Characters Involved: Talos , @azaleasalvatora , The Trickster Location: County Fair This has been a day that Zach has been waiting for. Ever since the cowboy was able to ride a horse, he couldn't wait to join a rodeo. Brass Handles wasn't exactly a racing horse, but he was, by no means, slow. Adjusting his cowboy hat, the rancher approached his horse and ensured the saddle was properly seated. Giving his steed a pat on the neck before taking in a deep breath, he let it out with a smile. The smell of fresh tilled dirt, deepfried and heart stopping treats, and a slight hint of cow manure wafted through the air. This was his scene, this was one of his favorite places. With the roar of the crowds and the announcers blaring over the loudspeakers, with a slight echo afterwards, this was Zach's home away from home. It wasn't just some hoedown or backwoods get together, this place was the county fair. As the announcement of the next challenge of rodeo was about to begin, Zach tugged on his gloves once more before hopping up onto his horse. " Alright, boy, let's show these city folk how real cowboys rope an' ride." Rocking his head and letting out a snort, the Clydesdale almost seemed to agree with his owner. Trotting up to the gate, Zach was waiting for the buzzer to get his 10 seconds of fame. Moving his jaw a little, he swallowed the mixture of jerky and spit and his mouth, listening to the clown talk over the loudspeaker, getting a chuckle out of the audience. "Hoo-wee that was a good one!" "It sure was Benny, that rider knows how to lasso" The announcer replied. "Oh, I was talking about that corndog from earlier. They know how to make good food here" "is that all you think about, Benny? Food?" "No, no.... not all the time.... sometimes I see a pretty lady and think, 'wonder if she prefers corndogs or hotdogs'" "That's still about food, Benny...." It wasn't always much, but Zach knew that the clowns were just as important as the riders were. Giving a look to his side, the cowboy gave a nod and smile to his friend, " Wish me luck" With that, the buzzer sounded and the gate flew open.

She's Fallen too far the girl that time forgot “ Jessica has never been to a rodeo before so this was a whole new experience. There was a lot of people which partly annoyed the girl but it was also quite exciting. She was dressed in blue jeans that hugged her nicely, yet gave her plenty of room to move if she needed to, a pair of her favorite combat boots, she had on a black tank-top that also hugged her in all the right places. She also had on a black cowgirl hat that Zach had bought for her to complete her look. She listened to the clown's talk and she rolled her eyes, their comments were not funny to her, or perhaps she just didn't get the jokes. She had followed Zach pretty close the entire day and no one seemed to stop her, due to the look the girl would give them if they did try. So when Zach nodded and asked for luck she nodded back to him and gave a smile that only he had permission to receive, it was her true smile. Jessica watched as he got further and further from her, while it did spark a bit of anxiety in the young girl she knew he would come back, and if for some strange reason he didn't she would tear the place apart looking for him, and that made her feel a whole lot better. ” [/div]

Azalea had also never experienced a rodeo before. Then again she hadn't experienced a lot before, given her isolation. So far she was finding it a pleasurable outing. She had even bought herself a black cowboy hat to keep the sun off her in place of her normal hood. She was here for more than just fun however. Having a business to run, she had opened up a food booth to promote her cafe chain. It wasn't as heart attack inducing as most of the other foods around, but it tasted great all the same. weather or not the locals enjoyed it was yet to be seen however. Tugging at her hair reminded her that she was in fact, not alone. Looking up to see her pet Scorpion atop her hat, pulling a few strands of hair she figured it was telling her to pay attention as she gazed over at where the next rodeo act was about to take place.

(0:01) The poignant stench of horse dung may have been foreshadowing for the eventful day to come. Or perhaps it was immaturity in James' part recognizing that this was, in fact, feces. Whatever the case, he felt right at home in the fields of this festive celebration of history both urban and rural. It somewhat reminded him of a more recent visit to the circus, a homely setting he was all too cozily familiar with. (0:19) Having been leisurely leaning against the railing facing the start of a rodeo, he stepped forward, tossing behind a half empty box of stale popcorn and kernels. His boots made a clinging noise to the dirt with each step he did so dramatically strut. For his part, he wore a pear of blue boots, with a pair of metallic Spurs ringing and dinging with each step. Above, he wore a pair of checkered orange and blue jeans with a large blue belt and gun holster. The buckle of his belt was a shifty looking grin that shimmered under the rays of the sun. Above that was a blue button up with differing stripes of yellow on either sleeve, and an orange and black striped vest over the shirt. Around his face was an orange ascot, with an obviously painted snarl and menacing fangs slathered over it. A blue mask sat just above, with an orange ten gallon hat nestled just above, cozily hiding a mop of blonde strands. (0:52) He stepped forwards with the gusto of a showman, at the very center of the rodeo, disabling the riders ability to gallop. Both crowd and announcer clamored in confusion. His fingers hovered and arched over his holster, with a crack of his neck, a beaten and battered old truck bursted through the fence, skidding through the mud at Jesse's side. A hunchback and a very, very large and burly man stepped out of the front and passenger seat respectively. In the back bed of the truck, sat a crate and stood an indescribably tall man, most likely on stilts. All of these men wore western themed outfits. (1:31) "Well howdy, folks! Heh-heh! Names Dessss-perado the Trickster!! An' I'm here to relieve all you fine folks ah' y'er goods an' valuables! Ye' see... This here's a stickup!" he spoke in an obviously mock western accent, and unholstered a pair of revolvers, firing both into the air. The crowd gasped immediately "HOOOO-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAAAAAAAAAH!! Eh-heh-heeeeeh! Just put y'er valuables in them there lil ol' sacks, an' everythin' will be good t' go!" (1:50) The hunchback held a shotgun over his shoulder, and scampered over like a monkey, holding with him a sack. The stilted man did similar, holding a torch aimed directly at the crowd, both extended their respective sacks out, and the crowd reluctantly complied to the orders. Jewels, watches, and wallets passed forward, the fiends watched with intense levels of pleasure. The lumbering bald man was lifting the crate away from the truck as they went about this. (2:20) The Strongman plopped said crate just behind "Desperado". It towered over him, and both fiends grinned maliciously. "Ladies and gentlemen... This years county fair, proudly presents The New York State Explosive Extravaganza!!! BWAA-HAH-HAH-HAAAAAH!!! Y'see kiddies, whilst we're sittin' here chattin'... My carny friends are placing five more crates just like this! All of which are lined with four tons of TNT (Dyna-MITE!!) Ahahahaaaaa!! Once we pillage an' plunder to hearts content, we'll (quite literally) BLOW this Popsicle stand!! Heeheeheeee!! The fuzz'll be so busy with the damage, that we'll be hoooome freeee!! Hoohahaaa!!" True to his word, at that very moment, five other crates were being spread out within various points of the fair. A cult of freaks and sideshow acts lugging their cargo about maliciously, pillaging and looting along the way, the beat and battered any cop the saw along the way and took what the pleased. The entire fair was engrossed with panic, hysteria spread like wild fire, and the goons became rich.... (3:52) "Y'See y'all... This here Southern Bell, gonna be the richest varmint west ah' the Mississippi... Heheheheeeeh" An uneasy silence rustled over the crowd as Jesse pulled out detonator.... To prove a point, he pressed a button and... (4:45) A mushroom cloud a went a blaze miles behind Jesse. The crowd gasped and screamed, the hunchback shambled back over towards the truck, followed by the stilted man. Jesse did a Nixon peace pose, and soon followed. (5:24) The hunchback entered the driver's seat, and the stilted man stood in the bed. Jesse grabbed a hold of the passenger door and cackled maniacally as it drove off, leaving only the strong-man to defend the bomb. "HEHHEHHEHHEHHEHHEEEEH!! AHA!! AHA!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"Zach Sainmore | Talos | @azaleasalvatora

As the gates flew open, the horse and rider burst through the entrance as the bull attempted to run away from them. As they neared their target, the odd-dressed outlaw stepped onto the field, forcing Brass Handles to halt as Zach glared at them. Luckily, it would be considered interference, and thus, be allowed a retry, but that's not what he concerned about. The unusual walk, the overly dramatic spurs, and the absurdly large hat. It was as though someone were making a comedy skit about the wild west.... But in this particular situation, the rancher felt more mocked than enthused about the situation. When the revolvers were pulled and fired, the Clydesdale reared up, almost knocking the cowboy out of the saddle. " Woah, woah, Brass Handles, Calm!" He shouted, clutched the reigns tight, keeping him from losing control. These men surely weren't playing around as they collected the items from the crowd. Luckily for the farmer, the criminal wasn't the only one packing heat. Reaching towards his holster, he kept his movements slow and calm, helping to prevent any unwanted attention. Before the weapon was able to be drawn, the crime leader pressed the button on the device as the mushroom cloud and concussive blast could be seen. People in the stands and on the ground started to panic and scream. Chaos was breaking out. Riders were running, horses and livestock were in a panic. But, of all the chaos, the biggest thing that concerned him was the girl he brought along. Zach promised Talos a good time and to cause as little stress as possible.... this maniac obviously had other plans. With the group taking off in the truck, leaving the sole protector of the bomb, Zach swung the lasso over his head as Brass Handles raced towards the man. Throwing the hoop, it wrapped around the behemoth's shoulder and quickly tightened. However, instead of the man being pulled to the ground as the cowboy thought. It felt more as though he tried to bring down a brick wall as the teen was suddenly yanked from the saddle, without the man so much as moving a muscle. Slamming back first into the ground, he let out a gasp and a cough as the wind was knocked out of him. Rolling to his knees before finally standing up, he was picked up by his shirt and lifted off the ground before being thrown several yards. Hitting the ground before tumbling to a stop, he stood back up, narrowly avoiding a punch from the man. Drawing his revolver, he shot two rounds at the criminal's leg before taking a few steps back. "J essica! Rifle is in my truck! Get the others, Ah'll handle this guy!" He yelled out, picking up the rope once more. TalosThe Trickster@azaleasalvatora

She's Fallen too far the girl that time forgot “ There it was, trouble. The girl's fists clenched together as she started to get nervous about the whole thing. When the revolvers went of it triggered the attack mode of Talos. She could feel the metal of the bullets and directed them right into the dirt infront of the man who fired them. They had then set down a crate of explosives, saddly for her the crate was not metal and thus she could not trace the other five containers, However if she could get close enough to the crate she could probably see if there was any sorce of metal inside that she could track. Yet before she could even think strate she saw them, they were getting away, That wasn't going to happen. Jessica jumped into the ring landing perfectly and began to run towards the truck. She could hear Zack yell at her to get the others. Talos lifted out her hands and pulled them back in, as if telling something to come to her, and just as she did that the truck that was housing the others came roaring bact towards her, no matter how hard the wheels move the girl was stronger. Once the truck was closer she tore off the wheels by their rims, The girl leaped onto the roof of the truck and slammed a fist down on the roof, unknown to those on the outside of the truck, a sharp sword cut though the metal and stabbed inside of the truck. "You picked the wrong event to crash. This one is protected by the angel of death." She spoke only loud enough for those close to her to hear. Normally her voice would strike fear into others, exspecially when a sharp object was involved. She stood up from the truck, the sword coming out with her. While it was drained in blood, a good chunk of it was her own. She then jumped down on the engine and as she did so the whole thing bent and broke under her as she comanded the metal to bend to her will. She did however mention to get a eye contact in with the man behind the whole operation. Her eyes showed anger, blood lust, and it was very unhuman. ” [/div]
