As the crowd outside cheered for the current singer up on the stage, their screams and chants muffled by the layers of walls separating the arena, Kris sat in her dressing room working on her breathing exercises. She was extremely nervous and excited, her palms sweating in anticipation. This was going to be the biggest concert of her career. A special event in which dozens of artists perform live on stage and on television broadcasted all across the nation and even to other countries. It's something she has been looking forward to all her life and, after finally getting her invite, it's all she could think about. Weeks were spent full of training and rehearsals, doing everything she could to ensure it wasn't just amazing, but absolute perfection. She even included a few new songs in the practice.
When the runner knocked on her door informing the idol that she was up next, the blue-hair girl acknowledged and went to finish up her make up and did one final check to make sure her guitar was properly tuned. Walking down the hallway, she felt as though her heart was going to beat out of her chest. An extra bounce in her steps only helped to show the enthusiasm that she was feeling. Standing at the end of the back drop, Gensokyo Girl took a deep breath, closed her eyes and slowly let the air out through her mouth. The last time she felt this much anxiety was her first live concert. The rush, the praise, the fans screaming out of excitement, this is what she lived for, this was her favorite part of being a pop star.
Stepping out on stage, she gave a nod to the other members of the band. Her long blue hair gently flowed behind her and the screams amplified when the crowd saw her. Instead of wearing her usual attire, this time, Gensokyo Girl was sporting a new outfit fully customized by her mother. Thigh length leggings underneath a short skirt that was turquiose fading to blue with some black and sky blue highlights added. Her shirt was a deep blue and a black vest over it. On her hands she wore black fingerless gloves that had a blue G on the back.
Tapping the beat on her guitar, Kris was about to start the first song when the microphone suddenly cut out and, on the back screen was a security video portraying a thinner girl covered in dirt, sweat, and some injuries, yet it was still easy to see it was the same teen as the one standing on stage. As the film continued, she stomped her foot, sending cracks splitting down the room, parts of the ceiling crumpled. When she slammed her hands together, soldiers dove out of the way as a shockwave was sent down the corridor, catching one of the men that was just a bit too slow.
A voice soon came over the speakers. “Ladies and gentlemen, what you have just witnessed was Kristine Mary Johnson, AKA, Gensokyo Girl, attacking several members of the military service. While the reasons were unknown, she caused tremendous damage to the structures and injured many of the men and women. This girl that so many of you have been following and admiring is, in fact, a neo. And, not just any neo, but a dangerous and volatile one at that.”
Seemingly out of nowhere, a platoon of military personnel surrounded the stage, all weapons focus on the idol. A man walked out from the side with a grizzled look on his face. Judging by the icon on his hat, the girl was able to tell that he was a Colonel. “Kristine Johnson, under the authority of the United States military, you are hereby under arrest and charged with destruction of government property and assault.”
With her face going pale, she took a step back in disbelief. The subtle movement resulted in the clacking of metal and the weapons were once more, trained on their target. Out of panic, she stomped her foot, making the ground shake just enough to throw others off balance before sprinting for the exit of the stage. Soon after, the cameras shut off and went to commercials.
