The school day was over and the bus had dropped her off back at the Harper Household. A place that she really did enjoy being, even if it didn't show quite well at night time, as she would rather be anywhere but home. Perhaps that was the reason that she was told to come straight home after school, no playing on the playground with her friends and no snacks until she got home and did her homework. So that is what she did when she unlocked the door and walked in. She took off her shoes and headed straight for the kitchen table and pulled out her little homework organizer.
First, she pulled out her math homework and began working on Geometry. Which was by far her favorite math subject, not only did it help her school work but knowing the information also helped her hero work. If she knew the perimeter of the building then she would be able to figure out just how much room she could work with when on the job. So it was always pretty easy for her to figure that out. She then worked on her time's table and struggled with her flashcards, but the determination in the young girl would pay off in the long run. She had to know this information, it was important if she didn't learn it, she wouldn't be a good hero.
After her math she worked on her reading, she was reading a book called Junie B. Jones: First Grader (At Last) by Barbara Park. Lian loved the series and she owned almost every copy of the books, well at least she did. Here on this earth, she didn't have any of her old things. No Action figures of her friends and family, none of her favorite books, and most importantly her Red Hood bear. Lian liked to tell people that she was a big girl now and that she didn't need her Red Hood Bear anymore, even though she did miss it quite dearly. After her reading time, she started on her spelling homework. Once she was all finished spelling words that she knew how to say she ran to the fridge and pulled out a small fruit snack baggy that was premade by her father. She then planted herself in front of the TV and put the news on. Yes, it was very odd to see a kid watch the news but she had to know where to go tonight if she was going to have Speedy show up again in the public eye.
Yet as time went by she looked at the clock. "Where is my babysitter. They should have been here by now. I'm going to tell my daddy and she's going to get fired for being late." Lian giggled. "Or better yet I'll call Nana and she will yell at the babysitter." Lian then walked towards the home phone and flipped through the important phone numbers book looking for Dinah's number or the shop's number. Lian knew full and well that she could watch herself, but she hated having the babysitters that never played with her and she could only assume that the one coming tonight was going to be exactly like that.

Some legends are told
Some turn to dust or to gold
But you will remember me
