Timeline: TBD Previous Threads: N/A Characters Involved: Spider-Man, Phantom , and NPC Yakuza thugs. Location: Manhattan Sitting atop a gargoyle, The Amazing Spider-Man looked out over New York and sighed. In many ways it was very much like his New York with many of the same buildings, businesses, and streets. Lady Liberty was in place, The Chrysler Building remained, and the Flat Iron were all where they belonged. In others ways though it was very different. Where his city had the Daily Bugle building, New Earth had a structure filled with many businesses including several floors of lawyers. His New York had Stark/Avengers Tower, but New Earth had something called the Sterling Spire. Sadly, the World Trade Center had suffered the same fate as back home, the Freedom Tower built over the remains of what had once been New York's signature skyline. "You know Phil...wait maybe here you aren't a Phil? Maybe you are a Phillipa? Or a Bob? We'll just stick with Phil for simplicity sake. Anyway Phil, I cannot catch a break. I mean you know this, well the other you does anyway, but seriously? As if my press wasn't bad enough back home, here anyone with powers is basically a fugitive that is hated by the citizens and government alike! I saw firsthand how mutants were treated back home, but this is nuts! I land here, head spinning, the smell of brimstone in my nose (speaking of which I thought I was having a stroke! They claim there is burnt toast smell that happens with that) and before I even get my head on straight I have a small army of black suited soldier-types trying to arrest and or kill me and I'm not sure they even knew what order they wanted to do it in!"He sighed again. "Not to mention not having a Social Security number, ID, or you know a means of survival makes the whole superheroing thing harder than usual. Oh and there is the woman who sort of kind of helped me out and patched me up who may or may not actually feel bad for us superhuman...sorry, NEO-HUMAN, folks. She may and I stress may be able to help me get a job. She knows some people, possibly neo-humans that have gone to ground, and wants to help me get back in the game so to speak. How am I supposed to repay that huh? The kindness of a total stranger. And since when am I so jaded I go looking at the motives of someone who just wants to help? Have I become Daredevil? Did my trip through dimensions turn me into Logan? But see this is the first bit of peace I've gotten since arriving on New Earth and with my luck that just means it is the calm before the..."He was interrupted by the sounds of gunshots in the near distance, sub-machine guns if he knew his weapons. Considering how many times those very models had been fired at him, he was fairly sure of what they were. "See what I mean? I feel like I lost something falling through to here. I can't remember what...but I really wish it had been the Parker Luck!" He complained, firing off a web-line. "Nice talking to you PhilBobippa! You're a great listener!"A short distance away...Spider-Man stat on the side of a wall, just high enough to avoid detection from the gun wielding maniacs below. Some of them also carried swords and from the looks of it were all of some kind of Asiatic persuasion. considering he and Daredevil had battled Yakuza before he was pretty sure he knew what these guys were. Aside from murderers who were stealing drugs from some rival or another, the group of recently dead men with RH patches on their jackets cluing him in. "Oooh, katanas and guns! You guys are straight up rocking the John Woo cliches. Mind if I join in? I love Kung-Fu flicks!"Instantly his spider-sense tingled alerting him to the incoming barrage of gunfire. Leaping from the wall he fired off two web-lines, one snatching a rifle from a thug's hand and the other grabbing a dumpster behind the group, pulling it into the backs of several of the men. "So what's this called? I vote Crawling Spider, Hidden Morons but it just doesn't roll off the tongue. How about Enter the Spider? Nah, too derivative. Oh I know! Webs of Fury? Sting of the Spider Clan?" he rambled on as he webbed the feet of a man in a business suit, sending him crashing face first to the pavement which a grunt of pain. "Oomph? What kind of Kung-Fu movie is called Oomph? Seriously, that is almost a tad dirty. I think you guys have your genres mixed."

Blake had been tracking the Yakuza for weeks, trying to get information on where they were taking the captured neos. Each time he had a lead, it turned to a dead end. But this time, he was actually getting somewhere. Managing to corner a double agent, the ninja "convinced" him to aide in his affairs. Sitting a top a roof, watching the exchange go down, Phantom tuned into what was being said. However, to prevent from being seen, he had to stay farther back than he would've preferred, making it difficult to eavesdrop on the conversation. The Yakuza knew to keep their eyes and ears open, anything that didn't seem right probably wasn't. This much, he knew from several encounters in the past. The sound of gunfire echoed through the night as the agent was shot down. So much for the boy's ticket to easy intel. Managing to get slightly closer to the group, he tried to piece together what he's already managed to gather. Hearing a new voice, Blake looked up to see a neo dressed in red and blue spandex. Drawing his blade, Phantom figured now would be the best time to join in crashing the party. Leaping off a structure, he skewered one of the men through the head. Pulling out a throwing knife, he launched it at another man that pointed his weapon at the intruder, the edge piercing his eye and sinking into the back of his skull. Removing the blade from it's corpse sheath, the teen immediately brought it to a vertical position just in time to deflect a bullet. The ricochet struck another man in the shoulder. Having jumped in to help the other neo not only compromised his position, but it very possibly cost him a chance to gather the vital information he's been searching for. " The circus is not until next month!" He snapped at the man in red and blue. Spider-Man

One moment Spider-Man was in his his comfort zone, bashing heads of scumbag criminals together while mocking the murderers and the next what appeared to be a kid in a ninja outfit had dropped down and skewered some of the gangsters like it was one of the very Kung Fu action flicks Spidey had been quipping about. Eyes going wide with shock, he backflipped onto the wall and stared at the newcomer, furious over his actions. He wanted desperately to rewind time by a few moments, to react faster and prevent the young albeit well built assassin from slaying the men. Yakuza or not they were still people and it was not the job of anyone, costumed crime fighter, teen ninja, or otherwise to murder them. Staring at the body that moments before had a blade sticking through it, he knew it was too late and no amount of wishing would fix the situation. That didn't mean he had to sit still and watch. "What the hell is wrong with you?" he shouted, ignoring the circus remark. "What, you with some kind of rival gang?"That's genius Parker. Yell at the guy who carries walking coleslaw makers, he thought. Not even bothering to allow the young man an opportunity to answer, he fired off a webline, hoping to trap the ninja's arms and prevent him from drawing any more weapons. "Sorry to ruin your Tarantino fantasies, but you are not slicing and dicing anyone else tonight! And neither are your pals here! Oh and for the record Cirque du Soleil wishes they had these skills. Cute cosplay though, hope the guys in the slammer are Ninja Gaiden fans or you are in for a worse night than you are already having."

Looking up just in time to see the web be shot at him, Phantom's sword and arm were pinned to the wall. With his free hand, he swiped down to his harness and pulled out a throwing knife, cutting the webbing like practically no resistance. Using the same blade, he launched it at the web-slinger, glaring at him. However, before he had a chance to respond to the claims of another gang, one of the Yakuza charged at the ninja with a pocket knife. Phasing through the attack and spinning around him, Blake bent the man's elbow backwards, breaking it followed by a forceful strike to his knee, dislocating it. " Do not mess with a ghost," He stated, before turning his attention back to the others. However, in the scuttle, most had a chance to escape. Glaring at the wall-crawler, it was clear what he was feeling. Despite his face being mostly covered by the ninja mask, his lightning blue eyes were filled with annoyance and anger. " I have been hunting them down for three weeks. The Yakuza are tied to one of the biggest traffic rings. And you allowed them to escape." Sheathing his sword, he removed a throwing knife and plunged it deep into the man's other knee. " Where are they?" He demanded from his victim. Shaking his head and gargling up a loogie, Blake punched the man in the mouth, forcing the spit back down. Pulling out his pendant, the man's eyes went wide from seeing it and the flood gates of information were opened. When the Yakuza no longer had any information left to give, the teen stood and delivered a kick to his head, knocking him unconscious. Pointing his longsword at the web-slinger, the teen asked, " What side are you on, Silly String?" Spider-Man

Spider-Sense tingling, the wallcrawling superhero dodged the thrown knife, but only barely. Early warning sense or not it was too close for comfort, but before Spidey could even turn around to lodge a complaint, he saw the young ninja dislodge the webbing and attack a Yakuza member who had decided to join the party late. He disabled him with ease before proceeding to torture the guy for information. Spidey had heard him of course, the accusation that he was interfering in a case he'd been working. It was not the first time he had heard that be it from The Punisher or Daredevil and it wouldn't be the first time they were absolutely right. Still, knowing this did not help as he had witnessed the young man slaughter people moments before and now began torturing another for information. "Dude! What is your defect! Did you take interpersonal communication classes from a guy named Frank Castle? You can't just go around stabbing people and torturing them for information, no matter who they are or what..."Contrary to the webhead's protests, the man gave up a location. Something called Tojo Dojo was allegedly the base of operations from which they were moving slaves and not just any slaves, but neo-human slaves at that. Maybe, just maybe the kid was on to something. Checking the man for a pulse and thankful he found one, Spidey sighed. He had made compromises before working alongside Punisher, Wolverine, and others who were less than concerned about his squeamish nature when it came to killing. They were known quantities though, things he could handle and navigate. The kid was something else, a mystery, and a dangerous one at that. Still, he knew Yakuza, not as intimately as Daredevil or others may, but he knew them well enough to know how ruthless they could be. If there were neo-humans being traded, they may kill the captives the moment they were alerted to Spidey's presence. He could use the helping hand...assuming it didn't try to turn him and everyone else into confetti. "I'm on the side firmly against slavery. But I'm also on the side that doesn't go turning people into walking pincushions. You know, the side of sanity?" Spidey asnwered, before sighing. "Okay, I know I am going to regret this, but hear me out. These folks need rescuing right? Well, it'll go faster and we have a better chance of saving them if we work together. Fill me in on what you know about these mooks and their operations and then let's go help the helpless. Maybe find out who is behind all this. What do you say? Can you not act like a walking shredding machine long enough to do that?"
Just my luck. My first New Earth team-up and it's with a Kill Bill stunt-double! Phantom

Sheathing his blade, Blake turned his back to his unorthodox teammate. " The Yakuza are not forgiving. They will sooner kill all hostages than to allow one to escape. They have a strict pattern and code, any deviation will raise suspicion." Nodding to the body of the former agent, " As he learned too late." Walking back to his motorcycle, he puts on his helmet and starts the engine. " A lion does not release the gazelle merely because it chooses to not fight back. Contrary to your thoughts, I do not enjoy killing. I use the force necessary to ensure they do not continue.... I left the last one alive, did I not?" Twisting the throttle of the solid black bike, the ninja took off, the noise of the vehicle silent compared its speed. Being a silhouette of the night, he stuck to most of the back allies and side streets. Despite the directions, he arrived at their destination swiftly, parking a couple of blocks away. " String Shot, my only goal is the hostages. The fate of the Yakuza is not of my concern." With that, he ran at the wall, jumping off it and grabbing the roof of the building on the other side of the alley. Approaching the Dojo, Phantom scanned the area. Things were too calm and quiet. For it being a place that was holding neos, it was lacking security. The only person he could see is an elderly man walking down the street, appearing to be on his way home from a day of work. Dropping back to the shadows, he waited until the right moment. Launching a rope dart at the man, the blade sank into the man's hip. A forceful tug dragged him into the alley where a strike from the hilt of the longsword prevented any screaming. Ripping off the sleeve of the overcoat, the ninja revealed a tattoo of the gang. " There might be more of them, remember, nobody is innocent." Pulling a couple of bombs off his harness, he hands the web warrior one of each. " Smoke, sting, and corpse. You might need them." Tojo Dojo? Try saying that five times fast! Spider-Man thought as he followed the bike. And just how the heck is he moving so silently on that thing? Webbing along he sighed. Stealth was easy enough for him, after all he had been in situations that called for it before. From being hunted by Kraven and later his lunatic family to being pursued by the cops or even running from Pro-Registration forces during the second half of the Civil War, he knew how to avoid being seen when needed. Still, the young ninja's approach was near flawless, his vehicle even remaining quiet. It was impressive and almost made Peter long for the black suit that would better enable him to blend into the darkness. Watching carefully he was relieved that he didn't have to move to prevent Phantom from killing the man he deftly disabled, he listened to his warning about the Yakuza forces and nodded. Definitely not the March of Dimes we are going against. I may not kill, but I have zero issue putting the hurt on these guys. The wallcrawler was just about ready to ask how Phantom wanted to approach, whether they should stick together or split up, when the young man offered him the weapons. "What? No Pumpkin Bombs? Kids these days have no respect for the classics," He quipped, careful to keep him voice low. He opted to take a pair of smoke and sting bombs, just in case, but left the corpse bombs for the ninja. He didn't know what they did, but the name alone meant he didn't want to find out. Just as he accepted the weapons however, he heard movement from within and caught the silhouette of a man moving towards them, his voice switching between Japanese and English as he spoke over a Bluetooth. Leaping to the ceiling he crawled silently along and waited for the man to slide the door open, careful to yank a security camera out of focus with a webline as he did so. Phantom

As the wall crawler made his way towards the man, Blake clipped the corpse bomb back on his harness. While it wasn't deadly, it was one of his best tools. Following close behind his forced ally, the sounds of the muffled man could be heard before going silent. While it was too much noise for the ninja's preference, it didn't alert anybody else, which is all the same to him. As the duo made their way into the dojo, there seemed to be a lack of Yakuza around. Either Phantom's intel was wrong, or something wasn't right. Rarely is his intel off, making him feel all the more uneasy. It was as though they didn't care. That, or..... As the thought crossed into his mind, the ninja drew his longsword. " This is not like them... It is too easy." He whispered. Nearing the training room, he phased through the door, without making a noise. There they were, the hostages. Checking the door for traps before opening it, he signaled it was safe to enter. " I do not like this." Only a handful of people were tied up, most sedated. All look as though they have taken a beating. Walking over to free the first one, he immediately held up his blade as a bullet ricocheted off of it, striking a man in the stomach. Although it was an indirect attack, the Yakuza just injured an innocent hostage. Drawing a throwing knife to retaliate, he launched it at the man, the blade piercing through the muzzle of the pistol, lodging itself deep within. Not killing them will be difficult, but he will at least try.... for now.... Spider-Man

"Trap then?" Spidey asked, already knowing the answer. As the man dropped, Spider-Man back-flipped onto the wall, firing off a web ball that connected with another thug's gun, clogging the barrel. In the blink of an eye, Spidey leapt from the wall to deliver a kick across the man's jaw, knocking him out. "Seriously? They go through all the hassle to trap an unknown person messing with their neo-human slave operations knowing full well that whoever it was had a high probability of being a Neo-Human, and they send extras from a Gun Fu flick? I mean I was expecting something a little...more." No sooner had the wallcrawler finished talker than a loud, booming sound was heard the next room over. Suddenly, the wall splintered and two mech suits like something out of an 80's sci-fi stepped through, arm mounted mini-guns whirling as they powered up. Behind them a number of Yakuza thugs entered, but unlike the previous group they were sporting something more than guns or knives. Chrome showed in patches on them betraying the cybernetic upgrades they had received, their tribal tattoos looking almost like circuitry on a motherboard. They would have any number of varying abilities. You just had to say it, didn't you? Peter thought. "You are gonna pay for your interference!" one of the men shouted, light glinting from the metallic claws he had grafted on. "I think they are talking to you Hong Kong Fooey. This Spider is broke. He could barely afford web-fluid!"One of the men inside the mech suits raised it's gun arm, "And you are gonna get squashed bug man! Then we will hang your bloody mask on wall for all to see!" "I'd buy that for a dollar!" Spidey shouted, drawing confused looks. "Robocop? Anyone? Because you know, you look like you are driving ED-209? Nothing? Really?"Turning to Phantom he shrugged. "I dislike this world. First they have the same bad guy threat writers as back home what with the whole 'squash the bug' mantra and then they don't even get references to the classics! Imagine the slack jawed looks if I had mentioned needing a bigger boat!"
And that was when all hell broke loose... Phantom

The brief moment that the retro comment bought was spent with even the ninja staring in confusion. Looking at the spandex wearing hero, he raised an eyebrow and shook his head a bit. Snapping back into the fight, he launched a corpse bomb at the group walking through. The smell of three day old rotting flesh would hopefully slow down a least a couple of the men, giving the duo a chance to thin the crowd. The mech-drivers, however, posed another problem. As the miniguns aimed at Blake, he dove to the side just in time for the stream of bullets to barely miss him. Those will prove to be a problem for Phantom.
Swiping his blade at one of the men with the claw enhancements, metal chimed as the sword bounced off the talons. Using the momentum for another strike, the thug retaliated with almost inhumanly quick reflexes. As the edges struck each other once more, Blake jumped back a few steps, providing some distance. "My blade cannot cut through their claws," he stated, keeping his eyes on the enemies.
A second Yakuza launched himself at the teen. With the ninja now on the defensive, he had to think of a way to get past the upgrades. A swipe came at him from up high, but he turned intangible at the last second, allowing it to phase through. But a second swipe with the other arm came up with a different result. Letting out a cry from the pain, his body stiffened as a surge of electricity flowed through him. When the blade was pulled back out of his shoulder, the boy dropped to his knees, breathing heavy from the taze.
As the final strike came at his head, Blake rolled to the side, albeit with a sloppy movement. Launching a throwing knife at his opponent, the distraction bought him just enough time to kick his feet out from below him and thrust another knife into the man's elbow.
Standing up once more, his breathing was pained and his shoulder was bleeding pretty bad from the strike. He had to continue, but eyeing the mechs, his options were limited.
"Spandex, ideas?"

Spider-Man eyed the situation and made a snap decision. "I think I can screw up the sensors on the mechs, make the pilots have to eyeball us if they want to use those guns. Keep the Foot Clan busy for a moment. Hopefully I can pull this off without the hostages being in the crossfire!"Leaping into the air, Spidey covered one mech's cockpit in webbing, obscuring the vision of the pilot for a moment while the other got a face full of smoke bomb. Crawling along the ceiling he dropped onto the back of the mech with the webbing on it, searching for a control panel or an area where the metal structure was not completely sealed. Hanging on for dear life as the pilot thrashed about, cursing in Japanese that Spidey could only guess was some variant of "Get the %#$^ Off!". Spidey had no intention of complying however as he found what he was looking for. Lucky for you they don't have Hydra Killdroids or this would be a much worse night than it is already turning out to be! he thought. Rearing back he punched the plating behind the left shoulder joint, denting it before ripping the compartment open. Inside were a variety of wires and circuitry, advanced, but still primitive compared to the gear bad guys were packing back home. "So, Dr. Robotnik. We've gotta talk. I mean, putting paint over a poorly bolted down panel is kind of like asking one of us superhero sorts to come along and do...THIS!" he said, yanking a number of wires out. Almost instantly the pilot began complaining about being blind. His sensors not working, his vision obscured by webbing. His partner however only had to contend with the smoke, something the sensors could pierce with ease. In moments, he was opening fire, rounds slamming into the blinded unit. With great effort Spidey managed to shove the mech, changing its trajectory just enough for the rounds of his partner to hit the heavily armored back portion rather than the flimsy looking cockpit. Unfortunately, the effort to save the pilot threw Spider-Man from the mech, tossing him to the floor where he was nearly crushed by the blinded units stomping around. "I shall not be felled by an insect!" The blinded pilot shouted. "Technically you are gonna be downed by an arachnid. Totally different invertebrate group dude. As for the being felled part..."Before he could finish his taunting, the floor beside him exploded, the other mech firing something that knocked him off his feet. So far his plan was only going...somewhat according to plan. With any luck Phantom would be doing better. Phantom

Jumping back from the explosion caused by the mech, the ninja did a back hand spring allowing him enough distance to put his blade into defensive position. With one of them disabled and the other distracted by the man in the red and blue suit, Blake went through the possible attacks in his mind as fast as he could. The half second he had, however was up when a foot member came after him. Doing a half spin followed by a sharp kick to the man's knee Phantom thrust a knife into his shoulder and placed his longsword across the soon-to be victim's throat. Hesitating a bit, he remember his agreement of no unnecessary killing. Putting space between the flesh and edge he wasn't about to let the man go. A sharp thrust put a throwing knife in the man's spine, severing the connection to his legs. Going with the momentum, the teen ran towards the disabled machine, his shots off just enough that Blake was able to dodge them. Despite how he was moving, his shoulder wound was only getting worse, with his upper torso gaining a dark red tint from the blood loss. Right as the enemy was about to take a swipe, the boy jumped into the air, using the limb as a spring board. Coming back down atop the fully functioning machine, the longsword pierced the glass shield missing the pilot by a mere inch. Thinking the ninja missed his target, the Yakuza pilot gave a nasty smirk, showing that it was his final move. However, Phantom pressed a button on the handle of the blade, causing it to extend into a razor whip. The tip was launched into the control panel cause the cockpit to fill with spark and smoke before the machine shut down. Trying to yank his weapon back out, the wounded shoulder no longer had the strength to put it out, forcing the teen to leave it in the downed robot as he was double teamed by foot members. Pulling out a rope dart, he span the blade off to the side, much like one would do with a lasso. His eyes shifted from enemy to enemy. " Spandex, you better have a plan," the teen thought to himself. Spider-Man saw Phantom injure the man and for half a second he thought the young ninja had killed the man. He was about to let Phantom have an earful when he saw the man screaming, claiming he couldn't feel his legs. Oh, good. not dead just...paralyzed! This kid has serious issues. Serious, Frank Castle would approve, Ghost Rider flashes thumbs up, and Wolverine buys him a beer issues! For now though I have to make sure we get out here alive and the hostages with us! I can lodge a complaint with the Ninja Gaiden union later!Regaining his feet, Spider-Man found that the formerly blinded mech pilot had opened his web covered cockpit in order to better target him. rather than try to attack the mech directly, Spidey fired a webline that snared the pilot's chest. Yanking him out of the seat he delivered an uppercut before he hit the floor, a second dose of webbing pinning the man to the ceiling. Without leapt to the wall behind the mech, kicked off of it, and flipped over into the cockpit. "Believe it or not I'm so used to webslinging everywhere I don't even have my driver's license!" he shouted as he fumbled with the controls. At first the mech threatened to lurch to the side, almost tumbling over, but in short order Spidey figured out that the control stick was designed less like a piece of high end death machinery and more like a remote controlled car. Shoving the control stick forward and webbing it in place, Peter jumped from the mech as it stomped towards the group facing Phantom. One of the men was knocked aside by the swaying machine while two others were forced to dodge to the side less they be smashed. It wasn't much, but it may give the ninja the distraction he needed. And speaking of distractions...
While the heroes had been busy dealing with the henchmen, one of the men with cybernetic enhancements that caused sparks to fly from his fingertips, was approaching the hostages. The ball of lightning in his hand was growing steadily larger and before he could blink, the sphere of crackling death was racing towards the already frail slaves. Moving as fast as he could Spidey landed in front of them and rappidly formed a webshield that took the brunt of the blast, the sizzling webbing insulating the Wallcrawler and the hostages enough that he only felt his arms going numb. "C'mon Surf Ninja, ya have to do better than that! I mean I go up against a guy made of lightning on a regular basis! and the only thing you have going for you he doesn't is the inclusion of pants!"For all his bravado however he wasn't sure his charred, smoking webbing would be able to handle a second blast... With the Yakuza put a safe distance away from him, Blake had a moment to breathe, but he kept the roped weapon spinning just in case. Hearing the surge of electricity and smell of burning fibers, he saw the electrically enhance criminal charging for another blast. Tying the free end of the dart to the machine next to him, he tossed the knife into the air and gave it a firm lateral kick, launching the blade at the man. As the metal pierced his hand, the cable grounded the Yakuza to the mech, disabling his powers. Before he had a chance to pull out the blade, however, Phantom sprinted at him and slammed his good elbow into the side of the man. The sound of bones crunching was clearly audible but before the victim had a chance to scream, the ninja palmed his face, put a foot behind his leg and pushed hard, forcing him to slam into the ground with enough force to leave a small indentation. As the adrenaline from the fight wore off, Blake dropped to his knee, breathing heavy. His outfit, no longer able to contain the blood from the slash let several drops of the life-giving fluid to fall to the ground. Underneath his suit, his skin was turning pale and clammy as his eyes had a difficult time focusing. " I need a second," he said, forcing himself on his feet. Walking out of the room, he rounded the corner. Pulling off his shirt just enough to look at the injury, he saw just how bad it really was. The slash cut over an inch deep, cutting into muscle and nicked the artery. He would have to get it taken care of soon, but first, the hostages still had to be rescued. Walking back into the room, he gave a nod to the man in spandex. " There might be more soon. We should hurry." Pulling out a throwing knife to help cut the kidnapped free, he did his best to keep up the pace. After the last of them were sent out, he tried to follow, only to drop to his knee again. Forcing himself to stand, his body trembled before dropping back down. His eyes started going foggy and his vision faded. His breaths were rapid and shallow and the wound showed no signs of clotting. Just to be certain the threat was ended Spider-Man proceeded to web each and every goon they had dropped, in place. Some ended up in a net-like web hanging from the ceiling while others were stuck to the wall or floor. Some of the cyborgs even found themselves webbed in areas well away from the cybernetics that had been beaten, sliced, or otherwise forcible removed from them. Checking on the now paralyzed man who was close to going into shock, Spidey applied what First Aid he could before turning his attention to his partner. From the sounds of it the kid had held his own, but it wasn't until the Wallcrawler turned to find him did he see the condition he was in. Spider-Man raced to Phantom's side, checking on him. He'd lost a lot of blood already and things were not going to be getting better if they stayed around waiting. Thankfully he'd pocketed the cellphone of the man he'd first taken down. Not trusting the ninja to necessarily stick to his word about not killing, he'd dialed 911. While he hadn't spoken to the operator he was sure to let the receiver pick up the sounds of battle. Based on the sounds of sirens in the near distance, the authorities had already pinpointed the location. Either that or the miniguns raised some alarms even in the Big Apple!Hastily webbing up the wounds as best he could, hoping to stem the bleeding, Spidey left Phantom for a moment to check on the hostages. The few remaining were not in good shape, but he saw appreciation in their eyes as he snapped the bindings that held them in place. Despite being weak, he didn't think they were so bad off they wouldn't make it, especially with emergency services on the way. Running back to Phantom he lifted him as the sounds of police entering the building could be heard, but not before depositing the cellphone back atop the unconscious goon he'd taken it from. "Okay kid, hold on. We don't want to be here when the cops arrive anymore than we do when their backup does."Walking to a backdoor he kicked it off the hinges, the bolt on the outside shattering apart under the force of the blow. Did everything I can for the hostages. The rest is up to the cops and the doctors. And all is not lost. I'm guessing that the cell phone goes missing before it hits an evidence locker. Yakuza likely have ins with the local cops and the resources to get it back. It and the spider-tracer I left inside it.
"Alright Tum-Tum, we need to get you back to Rocky and Colt," Spidey said realizing he was making a reference the youngster likely wouldn't get. "You have a base? A Ninja-Cave? Mom's basement? Something, because otherwise I am gonna have to swing you over to the nearest hospital and I don't think you want to explain all this to them."Swinging over the city, careful not to drop the ninja or jostle him too much, he waited to be told where he should take the kid for help.
