"We on? Great. Where was I? Oh, right. Listen up lovelies because I hate repeating myself almost as much as I hate being handed things. I am Iron Man. I made the announcement back on my Earth, I told this New Earth, and when I say something I mean it. So what does being Iron Man mean? Cool toys, fast cars, faster women. Yeah, sure, but it also means being able to do what others can’t, to defend those that can’t defend themselves. A little Knight Errant? Sure. But don’t be fooled people, this knight doesn’t come in on a white horse even if the shining armor bit fits. Old fashioned notion with modern…ultra modern sensibility.
May not be my Earth, but for now it is my home and that means protecting it and its people from all comers, even if they are old playmates from back in my home dimension. I may not have all the answers, may not be able to get everyone on board with my plan, and I may or may not be smart enough to get all of us vagrants home. Spoiler Alert: I am that smart, but you know, also humble.
So what am I saying? Well, simple. I am Iron Man and though I don’t really know how to save this world and return to my own, I am having a hell of a lot of fun making it up as I go. But I'm late for my martini lunch and parched from yapping, so F.R.I.D.A.Y. here will handle the rest of the heavy lifting." FRIENDS: Mr. Stark has a few true friends. Lt. Col. James Rhodes and he do not always see eye to eye but they have been friends since before Iron Man's existence and if he were to end up on New Earth, Mr. Stark would no doubt welcome him. He is the only man trusted to operate Stark Tech, primarily as pilot of the War Machine armor. ("Yeah, Rhodey? Good people, even if he does have a stick up his...")
The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. The team is fractured at the moment, disagreement over the Sokovian Accords having divided them, but were they to somehow make their way to New Earth, perhaps they may assemble once more. ("Sure. Get the band back together. Hopefully we won't get Yoko'd.")
Pepper Potts and Happy Hogan: The CEO of Stark Industries, former assistant to Mr. Stark, and his on again off again love interest ("Pep and I are...it's complicated. She's probably safer where she is.") could be a friendly face in these strange times. Likewise, friend and head of security Happy Hogan tends to be able to keep Mr. Stark centered ("Uh, you know FRIDAY it sounds like you are calling me unbalanced.") and could be of great help when it comes to navigating the New Earth's political and business landscape. Nick Fury: Former director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and and master spy, Nick Fury has aided Iron Man and Mr. Stark on various occasions. ("Yeah, uh, no. Nicky would find some way to dampen my glow.") Maria Hill: Formerly Nick Fury's right hand she was hired away by Stark Industries following the dissolution of S.H.I.E.L.D. ("She's a pistol that one. Of course something tells me she's Fury's man...uh woman on the inside. I don't need another babysitter.") ENEMIES:
The Mandarin: Mr. Stark has dealt with two individuals that have seized the mantle of Mandarin for themselves, but recently has encountered the true original and his mystic rings. He may be responsible for Mr. Stark's banishment to New Earth. ("Nix the hocus pocus nonsense FRIDAY. The rings are advanced tech, maybe alien, but he's not magic. No rabbits coming out of that hat.") Fin Fang Foom: Ancient dragon or shapeshifting alien, this beast is a true danger to Iron Man...and everyone else. ("Puff the Magic E.T. doesn't want any part of this. This knight is packing more than chain mail and steel.") Iron Monger: DECEASED ("Obi may be worm food, but I hear he had an ankle biter somewhere. That's gonna come back to bite me in the ass I'm sure.") Aldrich Killian: DECEASED ("Yeah well the firebreathing nerd may be toast, no uh, pun intended, but EXTREMIS could still be out there and a problem.")
FAMILY: Mr. Stark has no blood relations, but his close friends such as Ms. Potts, Mr. Hogan, and Steve Rogers (Nice amendment there Fri. Keeping it classy."
PLOTS: Mr. Stark is working as a special consultant to the military and has offered to help bring in dangerous dimensional vagrants ("Great, make me sound like a beat cop picking on the homeless why don't you...") which will put him at odds with some and in the favor of those of like mind. Likewise, he is offering solutions towards handling the issues associated with the emerging Neo-Human population. He favors law and order and responsible handling of powers and does not trust all individuals to simply do the right thing, further complicating matters. (" Those of us with special gifts? We have a responsibility to protect the people that we put in harm's way. Not apologizing for that")
Anything linked to high-tech crime, the proliferation of deadly technologies, or world/life endangering affairs are of interest to Mr. Stark. Given his specialties and sheer firepower, street level crime tends to be best left for heroes of that persuasion. "Aww! Are you calling me the big gun? Record and send that to Rhodey. Better yet, plaster it over his HUD."

Hey Rift! We talked in Cbox, I've got some ideas to throw at you! Tell me if they stick. So, they both pretty much agree: vagrants are visitors and should really stop causing all these problems for the residents. But they also really disagree on how the "neo" issue should be handled, as Calamity is a major neo-activist and actively helps other neos avoid "relocation" by the government. She'd definitely want to conduct an "interview" with Mr. Stark about the vagrants, as material for her next book (the book is going to have undertones that basically blasts vagrants for ripping their world apart and causing so many problems for the neo-community. So, that's why she's researching vagrants.) What do you think? Like what you read, or maybe have some ideas yourself? Lemme know! Iron Man

I like it. It gives Tony a chance to get his story out there too, so that people see his side of things rather than just what the heroes and others assume about him. He does love the limelight so talking to a reporter would be about right. Just lemme know when you want to start it and I will post when I can.

I'd love for the overly righteous Matt Murdock to meet Iron Man as Tony, maybe have them hash out their beliefs. I dont believe your Iron Man would be aware of Matt, but Matt totally knows about Tony.

Same here! That would be a lot of fun I think, plus I enjoy threads where we get to dive into the characters and their stances on things. And yeah, though I include some elements from the comics, I am mostly playing the MCU Tony so I think he'd probably be so absorbed with not only stuff from the MCU but with himself that DD is not even a blip on his radar at the moment.

Iron Man (Daredevil here) Awesome, Matt's hardly a rich boy so do you have any idea where they could even run into each other?

[Iron Man AND DARKHAWK] So one of my favorite issues in Darkhawk's original run was when him and Iron Man met, because Tony at first was like 'is that a prototype of my armor!?' and it wasn't, but he still tried to disable it anyway, and Chris was super confused as to what was happening. So of course I wanted to plot them on this Earth too. I believe in the Civil War lines, Chris was on Tony's side (if he was even there at all, I'm not sure) so they probably have similar mindsets regarding Neos here as well. I took this character a little differently, in a more dark direction, and changed up his history somewhat, so I'm kind of leaving it on a case to case basis whether Marvel characters have met him from Earth-whatever/616/MCU. I kind of don't want to though??? Because variants of the above plot could be hella fun. Let me know what you think!

@chrisp I'd be game to do variants of that if you wish. I admit to playing something of a mixture between MCU Tony and Comic Tony (with a healthy dose of Ultimate Iron Man in there) so I'm cool with him not having met Chris before. And I applaud the darker take as some of the best moments with DH have been darker. And considering the fact that folks are raining out the sky from all over and the political ramifications, Stark would reasonably be concerned about an invading force with armor or that the government has backtracked on their agreement and somehow got ahold of his tech.

[Iron Man AND DARKHAWK] Yeah, that's more than reasonable, and I'm sure that it won't be the last time someone's afraid of an army of hawks. xD Does a thread interest you at this point? And I also totally agree that the better of his stories / moments have been the darker ones--that's been where the majority of his character development came from I'm really not a fan of the muscle-bound high school jock they made Chris out to be originally.
