Megan Wheeler had become bored (for now) of the books that she was looking at in the Maui Main Library. Sighing, she stowed the book back to its place on the shelf, and exited the library, going down flights of stairs, and out of the grand entry doors. Once out of the building, she proceeded to walk down random sidewalks, before locating a half-alleyway. Checking to make sure that nobody was looking, she focused on shapeshifting.
Her skin rippled and tinted to a grass green sort of color, and her hair abit more red-orange, from the orange-brown it had been as Megan Wheeler. M'gann's clothes shifted from a 1950's style soft blue dress, to a white shirt with a red X of two bandoleers, and a belt at her waist. This was joined with a blue skirt, blue cape, and blue boots and gloves. Her transformation complete, Miss Martian leaped into the air, and began cruising south, at an altitude of about 800 feet.
Nearing the northern tip of the Main Island, Megan saw something new to her; Real Life Fighter Jets !
"This is So Cool !" M'gann said to herself. She then got the idea to challenge them to a race !
Approaching them fairly slowly, she matched their course and speed, and then got even closer, before turning around in mid-air, 'standing' and cheerfully waving at them. She then took her cape in hand, off of her shoulders, and it went from blue, to checker-patterned. The jets seemed to respond by falling into a different formation and slowing down abit, distancing themselves from her. Apparently a 'No' response.
Putting her cape back on, and it fading back to blue, Megan skewed away, letting the jets go back to, whatever it is they were doing.

The reinforced wall of the testing chamber had gone from silver to black. It had been pummeled with heat for several weeks. Though her powers were weakened, Kara still packed a good punch. The wall was cooling down from the most recent heat vision attack. Kara was bored. She hadn't been outside for the longest time. Her handlers said it was because they needed to wait for the right time to show her to the citizens. She was excited to get out there and fight the bad guys. She had been told all about these Neos and Vagrants, and wanted nothing more than to protect the people of Earth from those threats.
“Okay Kara. Let's have a punch on the sensor.” Said the head researcher.
With a sigh, she gave a lazy punch to the sensor dummy. Even the lazy hit was well beyond what any human could do. The dummy had been bolted to the floor as much as they could manage, and she still knocked it over. If she was that strong while not being allowed to charge her powers, they were worried about how strong she truly could be in the sun.
“Come on... there's got to be someone out there you need me to go stop.” Kara said as she set the dummy back up. Which was another impressive feat, seeing as how it generally took three soldiers to lift the thing. Kara just needed one hand and a casual motion.
“We've been over this. We'll send you out when the time is right.” The head researcher said.
Kara sighed and continued with the testing. She was glad to at least get that much activity in her life. There was so much she was curious about, so many things she wanted to see and do. She also wanted to see the agents who helped her when she crashed onto the planet. While she proved once again how much weight she can lift, a few suits and uniforms come talk to the head researcher. She tuned in with her super hearing to catch the tail of the conversation. She was already grinning before they hit the intercom.
“Overgirl. You're up.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kara smiled brightly as she flew high in the sky, soaking up the suns rays. The medication kept her from reaching a critical state, and was holding very well. She kept a good distance behind the fighter jets that were serving as forward scouts for the mission. There was an alien causing lots of trouble in the area. Others were involved too, and she had plans to go after them as well. First things first though. She needed to find and face this dangerous alien.
“Eyes on target.” was what broke her daydream and casual sun-soaking flight. There was other chatter too, but she didn't catch all of it. The voice of her handler spoke into her ear via the subtle microphone earpiece.
“The mission is to capture the target and bring it back alive. Overgirl, engage.”
When the words were spoken, it was like a switch flipped in her mind. Her happy expression set into a stern visage. Her eyes narrow, seeing the target far into the distance via her super vision. Overgirl takes off at such a great speed that it creates a sonic boom in the air. She rockets toward M'gan at maximum speed. Overgirl pulled back her fist and swung for the Martian's jaw with far more force than would have been necessary. There would be plenty of time to question the dangerous invader after it was in the possession of her handlers.

K A - P O W ! ! Megan didn't even see what had hit her. All she was aware of, is that one second, she was flying away from the jets, and then the next, she had a massive dizzy headache, and was face-first in a sandy crater on the beach. M'gann staggered out of the crater, shaking off the sand, to look around as best she could, with her head still spinning some and tears streaming down her face from the sand. Her first thought was that the jets had shot her with something, some weirdo weapon that they kept under wraps. Megan laid eyes on a trio of .... or was it a pair of.... of blonde women, all dressed in red and black suits, with red capes. Well whatever the case was, Miss Martian staggered up and tried to drunkenly walk away from the pair-trio of super bad women. Finding it hard to walk from the concussion, Megan flopped onto the ground, and effortfully crawled away from the bad girls some more. No such luck. Megan also tried to think more on what to do, how to fight back, but the concussion headache was too much. The cheery sunshine of before, now seemed to scorch cruelly on her eyes and mostly blind her. Megan then laid hands on, something .... a Boot.... a Red, Boot. Megan quietly mumbled out some Martian words, and became intangible.

Overgirl had expected more out of a threat that required her action. The level of destruction she had been told that girl was responsible for didn't quite match with what she was seeing. But in the triggered state, Overgirl wasn't able to think on it for too long. She floats down, folding her arms as she watches the green girl crawl. Her black suit still had the diamond on her chest, but instead of an 'S' there was an insignia for the branch that controls her. She stood, looking down at the Martian, watching the girl go intangible.
“That's not going to help you for long.” Overgirl said.
At the very back of her mind, hidden under layers of static and mental blocks... something was familiar about M'gan. The pause was brief and barely noticeable by anyone who wasn't paying close attention. Which would likely have been no one at all. A crowd starting to form brought her mind back to the task at hand. She places her hands on her hips and speaks to the people.
“Citizens. I am Overgirl. I was sent by the Government to end the trouble this invader has caused.”
The people were confused and not entirely trusting. But seeing that Overgirl seemed to have the destructive Martian under some form of control was a helping point in her favor. Overgirl looks back down to M'gan.
“You might as well just come with me. You won't last long in a fight in that condition.”

“You might as well just come with me. You won't last long in a fight in that condition.”
With a hand on her head, Megan focused inward, and the massive concussion healed. The pain and dizziness and blurred vision faded over the span of about 5 minutes. As she sorted out her gray matter, M'gann was still somewhat phased out and intangible.
Deciding to ultimately surrender, within reason, Miss Martian stood and transformed back to her green martian form, with star-trek-like dress/tunic sort of costume. Now tangible again, M'gann took afew steps towards Kara.
The earth people that were nearby saw this, and screamed and scampered away some, cringing and cowering into the nook of a building. M'gann looked at them, and was saddened some, but understood that her green martian form was mildly unsettling. If this was their reaction to her True Self, they would go fully insane at seeing her Most Unfortunate Real Form. The people she looked at, saw that she was looking at them, and flipped out more.
Turning back to Kara, M'gann was just about to surrender, when - M'gann finally caught sight of the insignia on the other woman's uniform. It was the same shape as that of Superman's symbol.

Despite the calm exterior, every bit of her was shouting for action. The beast that they made her once they activated the 'engage' mode, always itched for some action. They didn't know yet how far she would go in that state. Sending her to Hawaii was set to be the test of just how rough and aggressive their new weapon was. Overgirl watched the people flee, and watched Megan move and stand. The citizens freaked out a little extra when the girl changed forms. It was understandable that the typical human would run in fear. Kara watched Megan with eyes that would look a little empty. The eyes weren't completely blank, but they were missing some of the life that they should hold. It was as if part of herself was locked away.
Something happened that her handlers didn't quite count on. As M'gan started the slow approach, the aggressive and conditioned brain of Overgirl saw what it wanted to see. The advancing, the changing of form, and the call outs of the civilians all mixed into an explosive reaction. Overgirl had taken the actions as a threat, and quickly closed the bit of distance there was. Overgirl threw a punch once more. One that was not at all softer than the initial one. The Overgirl didn't know restraint. Even while the punch was thrown, her eyes started to gain a blue glow.

M'gann was not ready for this new punch, from that of .... Super... Girl ?
Miss Martian was caught full in the chest, and was tossed through several buildings, and then downing some trees and crops, and finally, coming to a stop in a now deeply gouged hill. Megan painfully dragged herself by an arm, out of trench-crater, and even more painfully popped her bones back into place. Legs, Arms, then spine and neck.
Briefly considering super-villain-girl, Megan concluded that surrender was not an option. That was Not Smart, on supergirls part. Trans-literating a voice box into her Green Martian form, Megan spoke to kara. "It seems that you have chosen, to kill me.... Yess ? You. Have. Chosen. Poorly. You will now, See, All Of Me. "
Suddenly, in the span of a blink, Megan was nose-to-nose in front of Kara, not even an inch between them. The smell of bubblegum and flowery soap could be whiffed. Just as quickly, Megan drew back her hand, and forming a force blast in front of her hand, threw a punch backed by both her strength, and her psionic powers.
Was it a match for Kara's punching power ? Probably not.

Overgirl was pretty satisfied with the results of the punch. But yet, was also disappointed that it would seem that easy to dispatch the threat. Sure, the science types may have wanted this creature alive for the sake of study, but they could learn plenty from a dead subject. When Overgirl heard the voice speak out a smile formed. It wasn't over. The heat started to build up inside, bringing more of a glow to her eyes as she saves up the energy for the heat vision.
What she didn't expect was for the Martian to be right in her face in the blink of an eye. Before she could process an action, she was hit with the other girls attack. The force knocked her off her feet and sent her flying into a nearby building. Overgirl digs her feet into the floor to stop herself, or she may have been knocked even further.
“Good. I was hoping it wouldn't be that easy. Now I get to show you what happens to invaders from space.”
The people in the building flee in terror as Overgirl rights herself and stares at the enemy. Just as any of her moves had been, Overgirl uses excessive force and fires a blast of heat vision from within the building. It rips through anything that remained in the way and was aimed right for M'gann.

Seeing that super-evil-girl had shot eyeblasts at her, M'gann turned invisible and intangible, and was running to one side, diagonally and to the left from where supergirl was.
Some minutes later, M'gann appears close to supergirl again, and to her right. Grabbing onto Kara, Megan does a telepathic mindmeld. "My Mind, to Your Mind." As she said this, M'gann's eyes seemed to grow weirdly bigger, to straight up anime proportions.
Then, the world around them, started to melt and ripple. As reality drowned itself out, it was liquidly replaced, by another.

The strength of that blast was making her handlers nervous. Sure, they didn't really want her to kill the Alien, but they really didn't want civilians getting blasted while Overgirl had a brawl. Luckily, people had been fleeing from the scene of the fight. The only people that remained would have been first responders and the like. Overgirl watched the smoke settle outside, expecting to see the Alien laid out and defeated. The over aggressive state that she had been put in interfered with her normal strategic mind. She wasn't ready for what happened.
Her opponent was on her before she realized it. Overgirl tried to shake M'gann off, but it was no use. The brainwashing and mental manipulation left cracks for Miss Martian to slip into her otherwise resistant mind. Any observers would be stunned by the sight of the previous berserk mode Overgirl, being docile under M'ganns power.
Kara's eyes adjust to the new surroundings, her brain making sense of what she saw bit by bit. It looked like the set of some kind of TV show. Her own outfit flickered without her notice. It went from the black suit, to the traditional Supergirl blue. The command of 'Engage' had been severed in the mental realm. Her mind was clear, if not still fragmented. The voices in her ear were gone, and all that anger and aggression had seemed to just vanish.
Kara sees M'gann and hears her greeting. She would seem confused, both by being in a mental realm in the first place, and by the words the girl spoke. Her mind; normally being too strong to be trapped that way, showed little signs without Kara knowing. Little hints and clues about what has been done to her.
“Mental Realms?” Asked Kara. “What's going on? And more important, who are you.. how did you get me here?” She had no recollection of the fight. The bestial programmed mode had grip over her mind before M'gann brought her to the mental realms. “Whatever is happening, we don't have to fight. Let me bring you somewhere safe.” She sounded more like the caring and kind Supergirl.

“Fight?” Kara looked completely lost when their beach-side scuffle was brought up. She couldn't for the life of her remember seeing the girl before that very moment in the mental realm. The black and red suit appeared to melt away, leaving the blue/red/yellow of Supergirl to be displayed instead. The question made Kara fold her arms as she tried to pick out the exact last thing she remembered. Trying to think was an odd feeling for her, as her memory was almost always perfect. “I was... fighting...” A brief flash of memory materialized and vanished in a blink. It was of her fighting whom appeared to be herself. One blue/red/yellow, the other black and red.
“No...” Kara shakes her head and starts to roam the room, looking at the scenery as if it would help jog the memory. After a moment she looks to M'gann. “I was flying. There were reports of a dangerous terrorist. I was investigating. “ Still, she felt unsure of what was the true memory. Frowning, she takes a step toward M'gann. “Did you put me in here? You need to let me out, people could be in danger.”
The memory after being told to 'engage' was pure black darkness. It was completely blocked from her conscious thoughts. Supergirl had no memory of attacking M'gann, or even that M'gann was the one she was sent after.

Frowning, Supergirl took a step toward M'gann. “Did you put me in here? You need to let me out, people could be in danger.” M'gann replied "The only person who would be in danger, if i let you out of this mental realm, would be Me." and with that, she reached over and tapped afew glowing buttons. On the view-screen, was a split screen replay of what had happened, from both of their perspectives, from shortly before Megan saw the jets.
As the memory footage of the fight continued, blow by blow, Megan watched supergirl, trying to decipher what was going on with the blonde kryptonian. Miss Martian did not want to release Supergirl from the mental realms, because if she did, then Overgirl would most likely manifest again, and the fight would continue. Megan would most likely be resoundingly defeated, if not also killed, if she were to continue fighting with Overgirl.

Kara didn't understand at the moment why the other girl felt she would be in danger from Kara if she was let out of the mental realms. If the girl was peaceful, there would be no reason for conflict. Her eyes follow what M'gann did with the console buttons before her attention was drawn to the view screen. The two points of view were intriguing and impressive, but not something she was surprised in being possible, considering where they were. Kara looks at her side of the screen and smiles
“I remember that. It felt really nice to be out in the sun and flying.”
Her eyes turn to the other side and watched M'gann challenge the jets to a race.
“We were looking for a terrorist. Someone had been attacking the islands.”
She continued to watch the replay with great interest. The voice of her handler came through in the memory, but the command to engage was muddled and scrambled for one reason or another. Kara saw the change in her own personality and frowned.
“No, that's not right... I was just flying, until...”
Their stories meet and Kara sees herself punch the playful Martian with more ferocity than she had ever gone at anyone before. Her eyes widened as she watched the show play out. She finally saw herself in the eyes of M'gann.
“Wait... no. That's not me. That's Overgirl... I defeated her.”
Kara watched on and she nearly couldn't believe what she was seeing. It wasn't Overgirl. At least, it wasn't the one she defeated. She was watching herself. She knew she was. She could feel it. The sight of herself wearing that black and red suit and acting like a monster made her feel sick. She had to lean on the railing to steady herself as her costume flickers between the outfits.
“Something's not right. I would never do that to you.”
She looks at M'gann with sadness in her own eyes.
“Especially if you surrendered... That's not me. That's not what I do.”
Kara points to a still image of M'gann holding Kara in the mental realm, but from the real world perspective.
“Something must be wrong with me. I swear... I promise. That is not me.”

Megan watched as supergirl declined into woe and misery, leaning on the railing to keep from collapsing all the way to the floor. “Something must be wrong with me. I swear .... I promise. That is not me.” Cringing before Megan was not the same woman that, minutes ago, was all too happy to beat the martian girl to death, and then bring her shattered and charred corpse to overgirls Dark Masters for dissection.
Walking over to her and offering a hand, Megan spoke gently. "Then, we should go where you can fix yourself." and pointedly looked at the door which led to Kara's own mind, in this mental-scape. Beyond that door, would be the visual mental realms and archetypes of supergirls identity, thought patterns, memories, beliefs, moralities, culture, and such. Everything that made Kara, Kara. In that realm, would be where they would find the brainwashing structures, the hidden memories, the installed code words and orders.
